Okay, so the whole "staying away from the disboards thing" didn't go so well.
I did manage to get almost my ENTIRE Jane Austen paper written though--- I just need to revise it and hand it in on Tuesday! Then just one more paper to go (and about 70 papers to grade...) and then I'm done! I've had two job interviews, and both of them went pretty well, so continue keeping your fingers crossed for me, okay girls??
Anyway, enough with the life updates--- here's some wedding stuff! I forgot to post it in my last update, but my Grammy bought me a "something blue" and I'm absolutely in love with it:
I know, I know, it's not the most "adult" thing in the world, but I think it suits me. It's one of those "wish bracelets" from WDW and it says "I wish to live the life of a Princess" (after all, isn't that what most of us disney brides want?!?) and Grammy attached a coach charm to the end of it. You're supposed to wear it until it gets frayed and tattered, and I love the idea of keeping something from my wedding day on me for awhile.
I also made two more centerpieces:
This is light pink and princess ribbon. I think it's sweet.
And I REALLY like this one. The brown ribbon says "We tied the knot!" in sparkly pink writing, in case you can't see. Only 8 more left to go!
I also just wanted to briefly mention that one of my bridesmaids (Meghan, aka MaidMeghan on the boards) dropped out. I was a little sad for both her and for me, but I'm fine and completely understanding about it--- especially because I had to drop out of Liz's wedding due to work and school-related reasons. (Apparently, if they find out you have to cancel your class to go to Disney World, they freak out. Who knew?!) Selfishly, the worst part for me is I'm going to have a lopsided wedding because DF has four groomsen! There are other people I could ask, but all of my friends from college here can't possibly afford a Disney vacation, and I really don't have too many other CLOSE friends! (Does that sound bad? I'm slightly antisocial, and I didn't have a ton of close friends from undergrad because it was a party school and I'm not a drinker at ALL. I spend most of my time with DF anyway.) I'm going to have all of the girls walk up on their own and all of the guys walk up on their own, so it won't be that big of a deal ceremony-wise.
Oh! I also had a color change! Instead of claret red accented with ivory, I'm going to accent it with silver. I was totally inspired by MissManners and by one of my colleagues in a meeting I had to attend--- he had on a silver and claret tie and I loved it! (Yup. I was paying attention in the meeting....) I think the colors will look romantic and wintery together, no?? I tried to find an inspiration picture, but came up with nothing!
I guess I've babbled enough, again!
