I took this tour on 4/23/2011 and have nothing, but the best to say about it. I am a passholder at WDW and Platinum Passholder at Sea World/Busch Gardens. I saw the event posted on the passholder page, and thought it sounded like a cool time. So I booked it not knowing what all was involved.....the website did not have a lot of information, so I just knew we would go out on a truck to look at the animals, and see Jack Hanna.

Our tour started at 8:30pm......and we met over in the back of the Colony House restuarant on the parking lot side. About 35 of us went on the tour and as we checked in, we met our tour guides........Charles and Emily. Very humorous and entertaining. When everyone in the party arrived, we went into the restuarant and they had us get in line to meet Jack Hanna right away.
They had a photographer there who took your picture with Mr. Hanna......who was very friendly and engaging. There was no charge for this, it was part of the package.
After the meet and greet we proceeded into the dining room and we had a table of turkey wraps, spinach puff pastries, cheese and fruit plate. The bar had beer, wine or soda available. As we were eating our snack only then did I realize Mr. Hanna was sitting a few tables away with his wife and another family member......He was very approachable. Several people stopped by his table and chatted with him. He even got up and signed more autographs. I easily asked for a second autograph for a cousin of mine.
Then He spoke for about 15 minutes, that is when we realized he was there with his wife, he pointed her out and they did some joking back and forth. He was very humourous. He talked about Animal Conservation, spoke briefly about the Killer whale incident at Sea World and took some questions.
Then he excused himself and said he would see us at the end of the tour.
And then we were off on the tour.......which was cool since it was dark outside. We made stops at the hippo's, hyena's, tigers and then loaded up on the trucks to head out onto BG's serengeti to see Girafes and rhinos. You get to feed the girafes. The Giraffes lean right into the trucks. I was able to pet one of them. Truly amazing. Then you head over to an area where they have a bonfire set up with chairs.....and they once again offer you a choice of beer or soda. As we made our way to our chairs.....there was Mr. Hanna sitting there already. We easily spent about 30-40 minutes sitting around the fire as he told us about Africa....and he took a few questions.
Then he left and we loaded back up into the trucks and this is when we actually got to see the Girafes and rhinos....they also give you night vision glasses to spot other animals on the serengetti. The tour is really cool, because Charles, the tour guide is very witty/funny. So it really adds to the experience. He was by far the best tour guide I have ever had and like I said I have been on lots of Disney Tours......and they are no slouches.
After getting off the trucks, we headed back to the restuarant and they had coffee and chocolate and key lime pastry puffs for us to eat. They allow you to relax and do not rush you. When your party is ready to go, they escort you back to the parking lot.........This was a Awesome tour! With my passmember discount it was $56.00....unbelievable!
Sorry post was a little long, and I hope I did not ramble too much, as you can see I am not a professional writer......just wanted to share this awesome experience.

That sounds awesome. We'll be doing the regular Serengeti Safari, for the first time, when we are there in July. Thanks for sharing!

Do you get to feed the giraffes on the Serengeti Safari? I am hoping to go in the fall and would love to feed one.
