So, silly me, I decided that we should eat an early breakfast at Kona Cafe after being out late the night before. Eh, we're on vacation!! I got up around 5 and got ready and then got DH up. We got the kids up around 6 and were out the door by 6:40. Thank God we had our car. If we had to depend on the buses, we never would have made it there on time. We got to the Poly, found parking and ran into the hotel. Whew! We got seated by the hostess and I knew what I wanted.....the infamous Tonga Toast. Two pieces of sourdough filled with sliced bananas, coated in batter, deep fried and sprinkled cinnamon sugar. I never had it before so I was really looking forward to it. I also wanted to try the French press Kona coffee.
Pictures of deliciousness anyone??
I really liked both. DH wasn't fond of the coffee.
We finished up and took the monorail over to Epcot. Yes I know, I left my car at the Poly. Sue me.
We were so happy that the weather was actually a little nice that day!! It was much needed after the 30 degree weather. 70 doesn't sound like much, but it was AWESOME!!
We walked in and had a few things that we wanted to do, but headed to the Character Connection first. The line was about 20 minutes long and the kids wanted to see their buddies so I waited with them while DH went to grab FP's for Soarin.
While leaving the CC, we ran into Baloo:
Since I was looking for more characters, I noticed that I hadn't taken a picture with my favorite yet!! Since Stitch was at the front of the park, we headed there so I could meet with my buddy. Because, this trip IS all about Mommy ya know.
We find Stitch but he's leaving. I asked the handler if he was coming back and he said yes so we got in line.
When we got up to Stitch he spent a lot of time with us. I love Stitch so don't laugh at the video, LOL.
After Stich, we headed back towards the park. We actually got a lot done and during the day we were able to see:
Living w/the Land
Circle of Life
Soarin
Seas with Nemo & Friends
Captain EO
Since we wanted to find some more characters in the countries, we decided to leave Test Track, Innoventions, Imageworks, Mission Space & Spaceship Earth for next time. On our way, we looked around the shops and I found some artwork that I liked. I wish I remembered the name of the artist. What I wish more is that I could have afforded to buy the picture!!
On our way out of the gallery I saw....Stitch!!!
We passed Club Cool and I wanted to try it out. Bobbi LOVED the Japanese vegetable soda and Michael LOVED the Chinese watermelon soda. The Beverly wasn't that bad. I guess it's good to cleanse the palate.
When we looked at the times guide, we saw that Chip & Dale were out so we ran back to the front of the park to see them.
We walked into the WS through the Canada side stopped at the DVC kiosk to talk to one of the guys there. I noticed he was from the Bronx (Boogie Down baby!) and after giving the kids rolls and rolls of stickers (which I threw out b/c they left them in the car, LOL), we got to talking and he convinced us to visit DVC at Saratoga Springs the next day. We made an appointment to be picked up at 8AM.
We walked toward England and saw Alice. The kids & I popped on line and DH took the opportunity to get some fish & chips.
Alice asked about my shirt since it had Chesire Cat on it and wanted to know if he disappeared. I said only when I take the shirt off

. She didn't ask any questions after that, LOL.
While enjoying our fish & chips, I had the numbers to the red phone booths, so I had DH call one. He kept asking where the Bloody Queen was. He might have scared the kid on the line so they hung up on him. LOL.
Into Morocco we went in search of Aladdin & Jasmine:
Germany was next, but I will continue that in the next post...
