J & T's Wishes Wedding 5/5/12 SB/SBP/BW *Wedding & Aulani HM TR Complete!*

Tricia,

The invites are gorgeous!! Really beautiful. Glad you had some help putting them together and that they are in the mail.

I sent Shelley a text and told her that they were lovely. :)

Good luck with the dress fitting on Wednesday.

Congrats on getting the invites out.

Yay for happy helpers and not having to do it all yourself

Thanks! Yes I am sooo grateful they agreed to help! See all those envelopes??? lol

That's so cool! I think I just want to play with the blacklight marker and feel all super-stealth. I could pretend that I was on 'Alias'! (Remember that show?)

Are you sending your stuff down to DFTW or to the hotel? I had asked about sending some stuff down, and I was told I could only send to the hotel. Which I'm kinda ehh on. But at the same time, I really don't want to have to contend with figuring out how to get the aisle runner either in a suitcase or having it as a carry-on. Blargh.

Less than 70 days! :scared1:

Yay for having helpers! I know I already told you this, but the invites look so fantastic! :goodvibes

hahaha yessss Alias! The people I'm sending to actualy live about 10 minutes from Disney, so I'm sending to their house. I don't trust all of my stuff getting delivered to the hotel and on time. haha The plastic bins too... like I randomly have a plastic bin in my suitcase??? lol I'll have to head out and buy some and then what, what do i do with it later? They should totally let us come get them 3-4 days before the wedding, fill them and bring them back to store. Or even rent them to us. That would be a good little system!

The invites are STUNNING! Love them!

Thank you!!

Your invitations look great!! I loved putting my invitation together.

Me too! It made it a little more fun and saved me money! ;)

Love these! You have such sweet friends to help you assemble them all!!

Did you use the black light pen trick? That was such a great idea!

You are doing such a great job with your theme!

Thanks!! No, I ended up not using the black light pen. Our responses ask people to write their name at their entree choice, so there was no way I could not know who was replying. haha

BEAUTIFUL!! Elegant & fun... Love them! Wait til u get ur 1st in the mail, what an awesome feeling :lovestruc

Thanks miss!! yessss I handed one of my BM's hers today (we work together and she was over yesterday to assemble- the curly hair) so she filled it out and gave it back to me. She's too funny. They are all going to my parents, so I wonder if my mom will get any back tomorrow or Wednesday, then my mom can bring them to my dress fitting! :woohoo:

Thanks so much, I love them!! Shelley and Amanda were so great to work with!! I am hoping to add in some more things as we get closer, ie our table name signs, water bottle labels etc. I totally trust anything they touch is perfecto! :worship:

oh-em-geeeee! I got the mail today and received our share site cards!!!

I set up a website on shutterfly for sharing pictures... I added pictures from our engagement party, and will put some up from our shower, etc. I've asked guests to upload theirs to the website too to "share" their pics!

I used moo.com and made these cards to give out at our reception. I have the Fastpass Escort Cards from Wendy, and I bought pretty silver mini envelopes to put them in. My plan is to put the fastpasses and this share site card in the envelope for each couple or family! Sooo my cards came today and they far exceeded my expectations- the texture of them seems so expensive- I am definitely going to get my fastpasses through them. I was going to just have them printed at Staples or etc, but after getting these cards I think it's so worth it to upload to moo! Sooo here is a picture of them- I saved these mickey heads from the Dis designs board, I couldn't take them with flash so the colors are slightly off and I put them against a lid to show their size. The mickey heads are pink, aqua and grey (the colors our food choices will be also).

I wasn't going to make the other side black background, but I'm really glad I did. I think it looks super cool!

They are super blurry but it's dark here so I couldn't get it to focus without flash and the flash made them with a huge white spot.. ugh

They say:
Thanks for coming to celebrate our
Happily Ever After!!
Please take a few minues to upload the pictures you've
taken while in the Happiest Place on Earth to our share site:
(share site)
We can't wait to see what you've captured!
Love, Mr & Mrs :)

I am really excited for these and hope people really do upload and share! :goodvibes

yeah, I'm over it I guess now... I definitely would never call you out to them or anything to get my price down, so hopefully they dont adjust it for you! I think we have different floral planners, so I'm sure between all the weddings they have they won't even talk about it. hahaha I was happy to get the total down, even if it's an extra $100 for the draping. :rolleyes1

I know. I just can't figure out if they're over-charging you, or if they just left it off of our BEO. I don't remember ever being told that sheer draping was an extra $100, though.

Your invitations are sooooo pretty! :lovestruc

Just catching up, I adore your invites. They are simple and elegant and just perfect!

Yeah I do wonder the same thing... oh well! My lips are sealed, lol :rotfl:
Thank you!!

Thank you! That's pretty much what I was going for , so I'm very happy to hear you describe them that way! :)

Super cute photo sharing cards! Love them!

Thanks!! I realized later they don't look very exciting but I'm pretty proud of them! haha

So ladies, tonight I have finally lost my battle of a DP. :confused3
DF never wanted it, he doesn't love the fireworks like I do and didn't see the point in spending 3k to have everyone see them. :headache:
I've been trying to scheme a way to have it for less $$ in the last few days, I talked with Nichole about hers at Sago Cay and how to get ours to be around 1k and keep it. I emailed Vita about it, and she told me if we moved it to the resort it would be more money than having it in Epcot (dessert prices would be more) and that the Wishes fireworks aren't until 10:30 that night, so our DP wouldn't start til 9pm ( we have little kids coming to the wedding and this likely wouldn't work). If we made it start at 8 obviously we'd be spending even more and totally defeating the purpose of moving it to begin with.

Some of you may have seen I posted in our FB group today about an event at ESPN, there is a Sox game Friday night and I thought maybe we could go there and pay the tab instead, would still be less than the DP and we'd get to be casual while enjoying DF's favorite pasttime. The longer I thought about it and after him talking me down a lot, we've decided to just let people know we're going to head to ESPN after the RD and if they want to come watch the game with us and have drinks to meet us there. I emailde Vita to let her know we're taking out the DP... pretty sure my stomach is in my throat over this, hopefully I'll feel better about soon! :rolleyes1

On a bright note, our invitations have already reached all 4 corners of CT! Maybe tomorrow they'll cross state lines! :rotfl:

Tricia,

Your share site cards are really cute! I think I have one more thing to put on my list now. :surfweb:

Sorry you lost the battle on your DP. That stinks! The ESPN idea is a good one though, especially where you are staying at the BC. At that time of year, there is also playoff hockey and basketball that should be on too. Could make a nice ending to the night.

Hope you feel better about it soon!

Any news on the breakfast? Have you decided on a menu?

Can't believe it's almost March.

Sorry about your DP. The Sox game sounds like a good alternative and sounds like it's more your DF speed

I love your share site cards! If we were having more people I would def make some, but I figure everyone will share their's anyways....although the more I think about it the more I like it...hhmmm. I might have another project, lol.

Sorry about the DP! I think the game sounds like lots of fun though. I sometimes wish we had timed our wedding so we could've made part of the Braves spring training schedule, because we (DF) are both big fans.

Your invites are so beautiful. Sorry about the DP, but I'm sure ESPN will be even more fun.

The share-site cards are so clever! How awesome!

Aww, I'm sorry about the dessert party not working out. Definitely know your pain on that one. We really need to figure out how to create a money tree! ;)

Thanks Bethie! I wrote them out myself on moo.com, they were super easy to make! I got 100 for $20, not a bad deal I thought! :) I am starting to feel a little better about it... mostly because now I really could spring for the shoes I want! ;) I do think it will be fun at ESPN, we always hang out there in October for the games and it will be a good time to watch the game with everyone, so I'm trying to keep positive about it. :goodvibes Still working on the bfast with Vita and if we can make it work! I don't want to get myself excited for this in case we can't do it either... :rolleyes1

 I agree, I think HE will like it more, I guess this wedding isn't just about me! :cool2:

Thanks! haha Like I said they really weren't very expensive... and I got a code for my next order I think, I'll have to look it up and post it! I really like the sox too and enjoy the games, I'm not a super fan but I do love my sox. We are using our exit song as " Sweet Caroline" so maybe this will all work together nicely :goodvibes

Aww I'm so sorry about your DP. Your invites look lovely though.

 Thank you! I do love the invites!

yes! a money tree!! that is totally what I need!! lol :rotfl:

Those cards are so cute, what a wonderful idea! I might have to steal it... mwa ha ha ha!!

I think your idea for a get together at the bar will be WAY fun! Dessert Parties aren't the right fit for everyone. (In my case, DF wanted it more than I did lol) I myself would have probably preferred renting out a bar area to party. Thats what we did for our engagement celebration and it was a total blast.

Here's an idea....if you rent out a bar area, what about bringing in a pro photographer to capture some really great shots of the event! You could even go get some fun props to have out on the tables for your guests like Boa's, Masquerade Masks, Funny glasses, etc. That might make it feel a bit more like an event than just picking up the tab somewhere. Food for thought!

I went today and paid for my dress in full and tried it on... aah Paid in FULL! Sounds great, doesn't it?! Best part- it FITS! and needs some taking IN! whoo hoo! :yay:

I love it! I tried on a few Mantilla veils with it (that I thought I wanted) but the Mantilla is too antique and the dress is too modern- they totally clash. Foiled. I came home and found myself a single tier white plain veil on Etsy and bought it! I am buying bling to have sewn on the dress, as well as a crystal wrap for my bouquet, so I figured the plain simple veil will do just fine! EEK I'm so excited!!!

cue that crazy song... I work out :rolleyes1

on it's hanger looking so fly... bahah (and totally needing an IRON)

I think it's very simply stated, doesn't need a lot to look just pretty I thought! :goodvibes All of the rouching goes to one side and forms a sort of point on my right hip (where I plan to sew on the crystal bling) I am hoping to get a very modern side bustle here as well! Here is a close up I tried to take of the front:

YAY! Can't wait to get my shoes and start my fittings!! yiipppeee!! :dance3:

Wow you look beautiful. Can't wait to see the bit of bling you add to it to give it just that something more. Congrats on having your gown paid off.
