DH and I both really enjoyed watching the first season on DVD. We had a couple of weekend marathons. The best parts about watching them on DVD was no commercials and that you could watch one right after another without having to wait a week. Neither one of us is very big on committing to a show once a week--my only exception is the Gilmore Girls. We rarely ever watch prime time tv.
I was really surprised that DH enjoyed the show as much as I did--he watches even less tv than I do but he loved it. Now will we start watching it on regular tv? Nope, we'll wait for the second season to come out on DVD. We still can't stand all the commercials.
Rent the first dvd and see if you like it! I bet you'll be hooked.
I watched all of the episodes when they aired, but enjoyed them more the second time around when the DVD came out. The structure rewards repeat viewings because you can focus on the subtle character pieces when you are not having to focus on what comes next, because you already know what comes next.
I have never seen in... I have no clue what it's about... The key word is "Lost"... So I am assuming that they are lost and they need to find their way out. Sounds kind of boring to me.
I love to watch it because you become "Nancy Drew" looking for every clue to solve the mysteries. You must actively pay attention to the clues and you find yourself interacting with it. My boss can barely get us to work on Thursday mornings as my office colleagues all share notes, spotted symbolism and theories. That and of course Josh Holloway as Sawyer!
