I only get to choose 7 out of the narrowed down list any suggestions on which 7 you feel would be the best for DH, myself and 2 daughter 7 & 10 (they eat chicken, steak, hot dogs, pizza, mac and cheese, ham along with burgers and they love breads)
Here is my narrowed down list and we have eaten at none of these yet.
All restuarants at Comtemporary are out as 7 year old get sick 2 yrs ago right after eating at Chef Mickeys and ended up in hospital was not food if was a strep virus but she won't go anywhere near the building she sees it and cries that building made me sick.

1. 1900 Park Fare (Dinner)
2. Kona Cafe (Dinner)
3. Yacht Club Galley (Dinner we are staying here)
4. Cinderella's Royal Table (Dinner)
5. Sci Fi Dine Ins (Dinner)
6. Hollywood & Vine (Dinner)
7. Crystal Palace (Dinner)
8. Liberty Tree Tavern (Dinner)
9. Cape May (Clam Bake)
10. Garden Grill
11. Rose & Crown

Give me your recommendations on the 7 best and which 4 we should skip and why we would also like to do the Fantasmic Dinner Package but I guess this isn't allowed on the dinning plan which we have.

Thanks in advance for you suggestions

I removed Hollywood and Vine because you are doing Crystal Palace which is a similar, but better buffet IMHO. I took out the Liberty Tree because you have two other dinners planned in MK and I thought the Liberty Tree was the most 'blah' of the bunch.

I also removed Rose & Crown. I LOVE the fried fish there but you can have a sample at the walk up window for a snack or lunch and will have experienced the best they have.

I'm not a big Garden Grill fan for food though have enjoyed the Ice Cream Social. I just don't want to turn around while eating - makes me ill. :confused3

1. Cinderella's Royal Table (Dinner)
** I've heard really good things about CRT at dinner, esp if you're there for Wishes.
2. Crystal Palace (Dinner)
** Good buffet, ok character interaction
3. Cape May (Clam Bake)
** Really good buffet, even for non-fish eaters
4. Rose & Crown
** Stick to your ribs English fare. OK, but not my favorite Epcot restaurant
6. Kona Cafe (Dinner)
** I prefer 'Ohana, but they have a good variety. I like the sticky wings.
7. Sci Fi Dine Ins (Dinner)
** Dull food, but your kids will love the atmosphere
4. 1900 Park Fare (Dinner)
You get to see the princesses.

8. Yacht Club Galley (Dinner we are staying here)
** I haven't eaten here
9. Garden Grill
** OK food, but boring. Character interaction was excellent.
10. Hollywood & Vine (Dinner)
** I haven't eaten here
11. Liberty Tree Tavern (Dinner)
** I haven't eaten here

The four I would eliminate are: 1) Crystal Palace, I am not a fan of the food, 2) Rose and Crown, I agree you can get the fish from the take out stand and I believe use a Counter Service for it, 3) Hollywood and Vine, you may be able to use the meal plan and get Fantamic tickets, others on the board have been able to do that and the 4) Yacht Club Galley, no particular reason but I had to pick one more.
I think you would enjoy: the Kona, especially the desserts, your kids would probably enjoy the SciFi, my niece and nephew enjoyed it (they are 7 year old twins), Cape May, good food and fantastic desserts, Park Fare, Cinderella and good food.
I would love to try the plan but it is not offered to DVC staying on points.
Have a great time.

1. Kona Cafe (Dinner) - Planning on Kona for next trip. I think we are going to do breakfast though and O'hana for dinner. :wizard:

2. Sci Fi Dine Ins (Dinner) - Planning on eating here next trip. Have heard good things.

3. Hollywood & Vine (Dinner) - Ate here last May. Had the Fantasmic package. Food was good, not anything out of the ordinary, but it was satisfying.

4. Crystal Palace (Dinner) - Ate lunch here last trip. Was very, very busy and wont do lunch again. :crowded: We like the character interaction though and are planning breakfast for next trip.

5. 1900 Park Fare (Dinner) - Never eaten here, but would like to see the characters and the GF!

6. Liberty Tree Tavern (Dinner) - Enjoyed my meal here.

7. Garden Grill - My family had a great time here. I don't know why I love the land pavillion so much, but I do and the food was good. We didn't eat anything new, but what we did eat was good. We just had an all around good time here. :goodvibes

Good luck!!

i'd skip kona, garden grill (have you seen the new menu?), H&V (unless you're going for fantasmic dinner, then i'd skip sci fi) and rose&crown... as you can tell, i'm a character meal junkie, so those w/out characters don't do anything for me! LOL!

Just a quick Yacht Club Galley story.......it was just two of us, the restaurant had many empty tables and we did not have a PS. We walked up to the podium where a young, harried man was working to check availability. I always make ps's but have never had a problem there. He told me they were not taking walk ups. I looked at him, I looked at the restaurant which had many empty tables, and said to him the restaurant is empty.....and there isn't anyone waiting. I was shocked as they turned away an AP holder and a Disney Dining Experience cardholder. I have to think they did not have the manpower that night to run the restaurant properly.

So if you are choosing to eat there, cover yourself and have a PS. I have never needed one there, but something was not quite right that night.

I would pick the following:
1. 1900 Park Fare (Dinner)
4. Cinderella's Royal Table (Dinner)
6. Hollywood & Vine (Dinner)
7. Crystal Palace (Dinner)
8. Liberty Tree Tavern (Dinner)
9. Cape May (Clam Bake)
10. Garden Grill

I think your DD's will enjoy dinner at Park Fare (I think this has Cinderella & friends these days) & eating dinner in the castle. We haven't eaten at H&V for a couple years, but we used to really enjoy the food here & thought there was a great selection. Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree & Cape May are our "must do's" every trip - they are great meals (& great characters at CP & LT ;) .) We're trying GG next week & are really looking forward to it - we used to really love it there. :)

I wouldn't eat at Sci-Fi again - we didn't enjoy our food there at all. Others oon the board really enjoy this meal, though. The menu doesn't appeal to us at all for the Rose & Crown. We frequently stop there to enjoy the atmosphere & for hubby to enjoy a cold beer, but we've never eaten here. HTH - have fun planning! :teeth:
