I've just booked my flights and carhire for next year!

Woohoo!! I've just booked my flights and car hire for next year so only the park tickets to get now! We are now going for 3 weeks and 2 days because it was over £674 cheaper to go on the 12th of July instead of on the 14th of July and that with the extra £124 accommodation costs deducted! Crazy ehh?

I can't wait for this holiday even though we are going to Gran Canaria this July! It will be over 4 years since we last went and we didn't really get to see much last time as we were only there for a week. I booked with Virgin online and got flights and full size car hire including insurance for 4 adults and 1 16 year old (adult really) for £3848.45 and we have one house in Regal Palms in Kissimmee booked that is costing us £992 and another in Spring Hill (Gulf Coast) for £350, so for just over £1000 each we are having 3 weeks and 2 days in lovely accommodation. I think that's great!

April 22nd for 2 weeks, just booked the flights so not sure where we're staying yet. Will probably go down to the coast for the first few days as it's the week after easter then head up to Orlando for some fun. Can't decide whether to stay on site or get a villa....decisions, decisions

Both of the houses we are renting can be rented for shorter periods of time and you can book them over the internet direct with the owner. Simon the owner of the house in Regal Palms is in the UK - have a look (he has a 4 bed house too but we only need 3) and the other owner is in Southern Ireland. Simon charged us £434 per week (because I booked early) or £62 per night for the extra nights. The other owner is called Kevin and that villa, which I think is a 4 bed is costing us £350 for the week. I also know one or two other people who rent out their property - I met them (well sort off after I had booked Regal Palms if you want those details let me know and I'll get your their website addresses.

I've never stayed on site but then I've only been once before we did think about it but it was considerably more expensive for the 5 of us and not as easy to arrange room wise as we have to have at least 2 bedrooms as my daughter and her boyfriend would not want to be in the same room as us, although for that matter neither would my son, who will be 16 when we go. The underoccupancy surcharges were ridiculous so villas and houses are much better for us and of course they are all off site.
