WOW , I must say I was on another board that directed me to this page!! How neat I can't beleive I never srolled all the way down!!

Anyway, I never scrapbooked before and after returning I wanted to do a nice photo album for DS10, it was his birthday present the trip!

I went into Michaels like the other 1000 times beofre and landed in scrapbook heaven! I am now addicted and want to finally put all the picutres that lay in boxes into scrapbooks! Thankfully I only have one child I see what I will doing in my retirement years! How much fun!! I give DS parties for every holiday as he is my one and only and try to make everything special iin his life! I can't wait to read all the tips and all the great ideas!

Thanks for having this forum I will go now and get back to his scrapbook!

Welcome to the wonderful hobby of scrapbooking! I actually stumbled upon it as a way to keep track of my DD's gymnastic ribbons and pictures. That was back in 2002 and I've been scrapping every since.

Disney is one of my favorites because I love all the characters :cheer2:

I watch for items to go on sale and then stock up, so I've been slowly buying Disney items since we booked our flights in April.

Enjoy!

Thank you Phantom! I am looking forward to learning from all the great folks here with same scraping savy!!! I happened to notice you hail form my neck of the woods and am wondering about places to purhcase scrapping items. I have gone to JoAnns and Michaels at the Viewmont Mall in Scranton. Would lvoe to know if there are any other palces in this area? ANy help iwll be appreciated! Or are most items purchased online?, if so can I got some suggestions on sites?

Thanks some much!

We are definitely from the same area. We reside in Pittston. Besides Michaels, AC Moore and Joann's we are limited. I usually end up ordering off a few websites when they have special sales on items and shipping. Some good sites I use are:

www.joann.com (more selection and currently have Disney items 25% off and have a coupon code for free shipping, which I think comes up on the web).
www.creativexpress.com (for sales on sizzlits)
www.scrapbookclearance.com
www.scrapyourtrip.com

I also search Ebay, because sometimes you can find some good deals and also some unusual stuff.

If you are interested a friend of mine, Amy, teaches classes at the Michaels in Scranton about once or twice a month. She, along with a few others, started a group that will be hosting a local crop in Wilkes-Barre the first weekend in November. The website for this is www.ScrappersCamp.com. I'll be there, but not staying overnight.

Any questions, feel free to PM me. Enjoy!
