I've been promoted! Hahahah!

I have been promoted to a part-time assistant manager at my store. I laugh because I'm such a doofus I can't believe they promoted me. I'm making the big bucks now too so I'm even more elite!

The only thing I'm nervous about is dealing with angry people. I'm pretty easy going but I think if someone was really mad it might shake me up a little. We get some crazies from time to time.

We had a guy tonight buying some clothes for his girlfriends kids (he then accidentally mentioned how his WIFE would kill him if she knew he was spending this much money). Ummmm, she might kill you if she knew you had a GIRLFRIEND too.

1. Let them vent. Don't interrupt.

2. Apologize, "I'm sorry you feel this way/I'm sorry this happened."

3. Problem solve: what do they want you to do to correct the problem?

Underpromise and overdeliver.

I was an assitant manager of a small educational toy store for a while. It's not that bad. You'll get a few loons who make some pretty crazy requests , as you always do in retail, but for the most part, people are pretty reasonable.

Our trip was 90% great! I'm working on a trip report (short but sweet...I'm no good at the saga) and need to get my pictures up.
