I've been bad!!!!Need pixie dust!

Well, I have been bad lately....
Last week when I sprained my ankle, everything seemed to collapse! I even have to go to physical therapy for it all this week! :eek:
I did bad on my eating Friday, Saturday and Monday.....haven't been able to do WATP (I did do Pilates 3 times), and I have been feeling so terrible! and the worst part.....I havent' been here on WISH encouraging my pals! I feel so bad for being away...and I know better!
I weigh in tomorrow and wanted this to be a good one...especially since I leave for FL on Friday! :rolleyes:
Oh well.....I have been bad and I cannot seem to kick it......instead of telling dh "no" when he asks if I want to go out to dinner, I say "yes"...and do bad....after I feel terrible :(
I need to get back into it, but it is so hard without working out...it always made me feel better to start my day and be proud of myself....
First~ I am sorry to all my WISH pals here....I should not stay away....
Second~ HELP!! I need some pd for my ankle and my spirits!

I hope I'm not being too soft on you but hey- you sprained your ankle and you took a week off!! Now you're BACK and you can't avoid all the great support these losers have to give- I can keep my (knocking on wood) diet going for about 3-4 months then I need a week to just FUHGETTABOUT it! So look back at that week of take-out as your week off, make your dh a grocery list since it's tough for you to go and have lots of sandwich/soups/salad stuff that's easy for you to make and/or for him to fix- hey it's almost summer- have him crack out that grill- isn't that what men are good at??

But don't get discouraged- I really missed your posts and hope that your ankle heals fast- I'm sure it will since you were an exercise goddess before it happened!!

Don't dwell on it - everyone needs a break now and again. Define "bad" for yourself. Did you eat two of everything on the menu? I doubt it. So you splurged a little.

I'll let you in a little secret. Health issues are what gave me the push to get on this track seriously the end of January. I saw my doctor in mid-April and things were going so well she told me not to come back until mid-October. AND she told me to put aside the stringent regime when we were on the cruise.

She actually said doctor's orders were to relax and not stress over the eating. She also added that the habits would be well ingrained after nearly 5 months so she wasn't worried about me trying to eat out the entire ship while sitting still for 7 days and was confident that when I returned I'd get right back on track. She actually said give yourself permission to enjoy a glass of wine or two with dinner and have dessert if you want it!

I keep saying "she actually said" to remind myself this wasn't a figment of my imagination. So pixie dust for the ankle most definitely and then please give yourself a big hug from all of us, pick yourself up and head back down the path. :)

Kamy don't be too hard on yourself. You did sprain your ankle so you did have to take it easy. Good for you for doing the Pilates tapes.

Now you can get back in to your routine, no more excuses.:Pinkbounc

Ok, so you sprained your ankle and can't do the walking. But you're smart enough to do Pilates! And there are other things you can do too! Simple upper body weight training (if you don't have weights, grab a phone book and raise and lower SLOWLY over your head), or how about a little Yoga?

As for the bad eating. It happens to all of us (some more than others she says raising her hand). It's over. It's done. Now move on.

First of all, there is no bad!!!!!! So stop saying you've been bad or eaten bad or done bad!

Second of all, PHEW! I am so happy to "see" you! Was thinking about you this morning and wondering if you went shopping for that bathing suit. I meant to tell you before that you should feel good about any suit you buy NOW while you are on your "getting fit" journey, because you know it will just get better and better looking on you as you progress, and one day you'll go out and buy ANOTHER new suit!!! :) So hopefully you did get a new suit and it's one you are happy with!

Third of all - I hope your ankle is healing nicely and that you are able to enjoy your vacation. You DESERVE to have a great time! A few days of eating stuff that isn't on your plan IS NO REASON to feel bad or guilty or horrible, so stop that! ;) I want you to go on this vacation with a clean conscious (how the heck do you spell that word?) I want you to enjoy every single minute of it!!! I want you to laugh and play and giggle and have all sorts of happy thoughts, especially when it comes to how you feel about yourself!

You just wait - when you get back home from vacation we are ALL still gonna be here (well, I will be back after June 7th!) I know I will need to refocus, so you can help me get back on track! :) We are all in this together! I just realized today that hey, there are going to be days when I don't feel like having a dinner that fits my eating plan, so what! I will just do my best to stay on plan the rest of the time! And if I go crazy on vacation, so what! I have the rest of the summer to catch up if I slide a little.

Kamy, you'd better start being nice to yourself or I am going to bounce over there and (insert some evil threat here). Do you understand? :)

Now HAVE A GREAT VACATION!!!! Was just over at Ron Jon's today to pick up a few things for my trip to England (gifts for my cousins). I saw some big ship in the port (non-Disney) but it was still beautiful. The sky was full of huge, puffy white Florida clouds that just looked SO AWESOME against that crystal clear blue Florida sky! And in no time at all you will be enjoying yourself in the same weather!

And like everyone has said, don't be hard on yourself, you are a bit limited in what you can do with a sprained ankle. As for the eating, we ALL make bad choices every now and then and what we do (me included) is beat ourselves up over it, then we pick ourselves up and get back on program. You can't control a sprained ankle and its healing, but you can control what you eat. You are so dedicated to WW, I know you can get back on track!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Kamy- I was wondering where you've been! listen girl..... you just need to stop being so negative about yourself. You are a very creative , talented and compassionate person. A person that has BIG plans for the next 18 mopnths at least!! There is plenty of time for you to do everything you want to do! So, PLEASE- be good to yourself. Negative talking only prohibits you from moving forward. You went off plan- big deal. What can you do about that now??/ Can you change what you did in the past week..... NO! Can you change what you do today??? YES!!! Come on Kamy- YOU CAN DO THIS GIRL!!!! WE know you can. ANd you know you can too!! You had a splurge week last week- time to get back to business so we can walk our way through WDW in January- 2005! I'm so happy to see you back Kamy! Please- cheer up and feel better!
 
Kamy - ok so you took some time off, well I'm just glad you're back now. Remember, it's "Onward and Downward" there is no "backward" in the saying, therefore no looking back!

Enjoy your trip, you deserve it! Relax, have fun, come back and tell us all about it :)
 
I am with Karen on "there is no bad"! What's up with that Kamy? You used that stinkin word 4 times in your post! You have got to give yourself a little break here. I mean you sprained your ankle and all, and it got you out of your routine. So, it's time to forget the past and get back into the swing of things. You are going on vacation soon. This is a good time, with lots to look forward to, and you should feel good about yourself. Chin up and onward, girlfriend!
