AC DC is not available on itunes?! Every time I search I just get coverbands. Am I doing it wrong? How could this be?

They are not on there because they couldn't come up with agreeable terms with I-Tunes, and I have also heard that the members of AC/DC feel that fans should buy an album as a whole, instead of individual songs.

Bummer - I just bought DH the latest Nano for Christmas with the sole intention of loading an AC DC greatest hits album onto it.

In addition to the itunes thing, I just found out they don't really have any killer greatest hits albums either!

Hell's Hits seems to be the closest, so I guess I will get that.:confused3

Thanks for posting this i have looked again and again for ac/dc now i have my answer as to why they aren't on my i pod.

It's very easy to just buy the CD and then put it on your iPod. :thumbsup2

DD14 prefers to buy albums actually. She likes having the physical thing for some reason. Also, we don't have an iPod connection thing in the car, only a CD player, so we still buy CDs.

Yeah, AC/DC has not allowed their music to be sold on any of the major online music stores.

I just looked up the track listing for "Hell's Hits" and it truly is indeed a greatest hits a fan of AC/DC couldn't ask for anything more unless your DH prefers complete albums. It is far and away the most comprehensive AC/DC collection plus it's an import and a digipack how awesome is that? Sorry I am a huge fan of CDs I own close to 1,000 all Metal, Hardcore and Hard Rock and when available I always pay extra for the digipack.

If you didn't want to spend the $40 on "Hell's Hits" you can find AC/DC's albums on the cheap, if I could only pick 4 it would be these 4:

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976)
Highway to Hell(1979)
Back in Black (1980)
The Razor's Edge (1990)

I actually like the fact that AC/DC boycotts iTunes, I wish more bands would do it. I mean I don't really have an issue because 95% of the bands I listen to write full albums not just 1 or 2 good songs to make money. But all the genres of Pop Music have been nothing but lazy since the mid 90's when single tapes started getting big, they shoot for that 1 song that will bring in all the money and fame rather than giving their fans an entire album to enjoy. But that's just my observation and opinion :goodvibes
