It's time to sign up for pacing groups - Disney Half Marathon and Full Marathon

Add Nancy and me to the 6:30-7:00 group. I think the plan is to do the first half in about 3:15 so we have 3:45 for the second half. It really sounds like the group in the back is going to be one big party train!
 
Room for 3 more at the back of the pack for the 1/2? Count us in...

Oooops, I almost forgot my other walking buddy! Please add my hubby, John, to the 3:15 to 3:30 group for the half-marathon. He claims he wants company but I secretly suspect he's going to pull another one of those stunts like he did at TofT and take off like a bat outta hell. (At least I'm not doing the half this time so he can't brag about whooping my butt! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

:rotfl: No problem Jeanne, actually, I knew Nancy's screenname, but temporarily forgot. I thought I would give myself a few minutes for it to come to me, but then I forgot when I added John's name! Ah, they say the memory is the first to go!:lmao:
 
Please add DH, jims2cool, to the back-of-the-pack for the half. He's been battling a sore foot since CDC in August and will be taking it easy.

Could you please add me to the 4:00 to 4:30 group for the full marathon? Gosh, I hope I didn't just jinx myself by putting it into writing.

Add me to that "in front of the Sweep team" fingers crossed, and legs working - just keep the rocks in my head in their right places and I'll be ok... (suffering from dizziness, at times it was severe, but finally have a handle on it!!)

DH had hoped to be in the 4 - 4:30 range for the Full (Tim) but he's not been able to practice as much - so he depressingly thinks realistically believes closer to 5 hours...
 
The optimist in me says...

2:45 - 3:00 for the half

5:45 - 6:00 for the full
 
After the results from Saturday's run, I will probably be in the 5:00 to 5:30 pace range.

Count me in with the 5:30 group for the marathon. I had originally signed up for the Cliff bar pace team but never got any informtation from them like I was supposed to. Running with DIS'ers sounds like much more fun to me!
 
Hi Colleen! Thanks for keeping track of everyone.

Please add my DH, Steve, aka nukeman (even though he never posts :rolleyes: ), to the 2:45-3:00 half. If the weather is hot and humid, he may be with the party in the back. Of course, it sounds like a good fun group to be with. ;)
 
teh 6-7 hour group. ok, Nov 1st, diagnosed with pneumonia.::scared1: Today 12/17, doctor gave ok to start slowing working out. I was working out regularly to get ready for this marathon. Had a stress fracture in August/September.::sad2:

If I do a slow run (13 min miles) and run walk, will I be able to finish? What is the cut off time before they pick you up and where is that?

The website states you must maintain a 16 min pace or you can be pulled from anywhere on the course.

If you can do 13 min pace, you should have plenty of time to spare:)

DH wants to make sure there wasnt a mistake with his number!! :rotfl2: The poor man hasnt trained as he usually does for marathons, and cannot believe he isnt running in the middle of the pack (yet he refuses to run for 6 hours!! :rotfl: )
 
I'm doing the half, and will hopefully finish without being swept, so sign me up for the 3:15-3:30 group please
