It's time to sign up for pacing groups - Disney Half Marathon and Full Marathon

Mel, let me know where you would like to be placed? Jen and Mel, what kind of run/walk ratio are you girls planning? I am still strictly walking right now, but I plan to try a run/walk next week to see how it goes.

Christa, you will definitely be missed. I think this is my last Disney marathon and I know already it is going to be really tough on me this time next year.

Lynnda, I commend you! I didn't lose my baby weight after my second for about 18 months, let alone compete in a half marathon!:worship:

Renee, your 4:30 definitely looks doable!:thumbsup2

I dream of being built like a linebacker. Unfortunately, right now I am built like a run stopping, two gap defense nose tackle. I am hoping to be able to go more than the 20 yards those guys seem to max out at before needing to come out of the game to get oxygen though.:thumbsup2

Please put me in the 5:30 to 6 hour group. That's what I've been training for. I'm doing R4/W2 but I only maintain that for about 12 miles right now. I want to have fun and take pictures...I've never really done that for the last two halfs.

Boy, there's a lot of us in the back of the pack. I'm thinking our bright shirts will momentarily blind the sweepers, and we'll be able to go right by. :cool2:

I would love to run/walk with you and Jen, but I don't know if I could do a R4/W2.:confused3 I think I would need a longer walking interval. I am going out for 17 miles tomorrow, so we will see what I can do throwing in a few running intervals, I hope I don't hurt too much.

I also want the freedom to be able to stop for a potty break and not feel like I am fleeing from the sweepers!!! I would love to have company for those 6 hours, so let me know!!!!

Mel - with the 3/2 I have been under 6 hour pace, which gives me an hour pad. Tomorrow is 16 and I will try the 3/2 again. Sometimes I start with 4/2, but by 12 or so miles I start slowing down a bit. Good luck on your 18 and I would love to run with you again at WDW!

Roxy, welcome to the 5:30-6:00 pacing group. Mel, Jen and I are trying to work out a run/walk plan so we can keep each other company. What is your plan? Hopefully we can figure something out!
 
I have done both run 3 walk 2 and run 4 walk1 and either works for me. I am just so excited to be in a pacing group. :thumbsup2

Quick question... what if we are in different corrals? Will we/can we move to the same??? I noticed Mel is one corral ahead of me and I am assuming this will be the same for others.
 
Id like to pace with those running the half in just under 2.5 hours.

Put me in the 6-7 hour full.....closer to the 7. I want to get my money's worth. ;)

Wow, that's exactly how I play golf - I try to get my money's worth so I take a lot of shots!

I am planing on finishing sub 5 hours so put me in the 4:30 - 5:00 group for the full please.
