Ahhh! I'm missing all these beautiful updates! The photos won't load for me on my cruddy wireless at work, so I've been avoiding this thread for a couple days, just until I have some quiet time at home to get caught up. It's killing me, I can't wait to see more of your photos and read more of your adventures!

OKAY! Finally found time to get all caught up! Looooove all your pictures. Hope that I can remember to be such a shutterbug on my next trip... I tend to get so caught up in things that I forget all about the camera!

Pardon the long commentary, going to try and say everything that I had mental responses to as I was reading through the last few pages.

After I was done taking pics of that it was time to go through the dreaded bag check... Oi vey. I hate thissss. I tried to pack better this year. But going through bag check was JUST as big a pain this year as last..and my double stroller.. that thing has got to go next year! Although, a stroller is a must! If not to push tired kids then to hold loads of crap you buy and big bags you insist you need to have with you at the park.

I've only ever carried one bag in with me, usually a standard backpack, but I've always thought that their version of a bagcheck was pretty weak! Even post-9/11, I've never had one of those guys do more than open my bag, glance in the main section, and hand it back. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that they save me so much time. But another part of me worries that one day they're going to miss something scary in somebody else's bag.

Also they were ridiculously good looking and well dressed. LOl. That's me being a jealous hater. One thing that I could not for the life of me understand the entire trip was, how all the Asian girls had on black stir-ups under a pair of short or a skirt or whatevs... it was SOOOOOOO hot!! Do they not feel the heat? or is fashion that important to them??

From what I understand, fashion is EVERYTHING to them.

BTW, I always make the kids take pics with the hotty CM's... seriosuly.

Now I think I just peed a little.

Peter was a complete freaking weirdo and creeped me out! He was like sarcastically rude towards the kids..and appeared as though he may be on some sort of drugs. No, he was not in character either. I know Peter pan is a real ball buster, but this guy was just weird!

This reminds me of the time we met Aladdin and Jasmine in Morroco at Epcot. She was lovely, but he looked like he was about 40 years old. I mean, he was seriously rockin' a major 5'oclock shadow and everything. It was so weird. And since we had met Aladdin by himself in Adventureland at MK earlier in the week (that one was a SUPER HOT Aladdin, by the way), we had weird old creepy Aladdin in Epcot take our picture with Jasmine.

Soooo unacceptable. You don't "whatever" people, especially not customers. Okay, between this guy and the photographer... I've found one of the best ways to call somebody out when they are being rude, particular in a customer service line of work, if to stop, look at them with concern, tilt your head, and ask them "I'm sorry, but are you having a bad day or something?" It very clearly sends the message that they are providing less than stellar service, that you've very much noticed their bad attitude, and while you're not going to be rude back, you're also not going to just sit there and take it. Anytime I've used this, the person in question suddenly changes disposition and is VERY nice for the rest of the encounter, because nobody wants to risk a guest/customer taking their comments about their poor attitude to their boss. Just my two cents.

After that it was time for Test Track! This aside from Buzz is prolly Jack's favorite ride!

Ok, I haven't posted much if any at all, but I'm always checking out the disboards. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your trip updates and pictures. We are so excited- my family and I (2 kids- DD 7 and DS-6, my husband and I) are leaving on the 16th for our first trip to WDW and seeing these pictures has made me realize how close it really is!! I hope you are gonna keep posting pictures!! They're GREAT!

my apologies for the delay! Idk what happened with photo bucket, but it was not playing nice. So like the good trip reporter that I am, I upgraded to a photo bucket pro account! I am happy to report all my pics are now uploaded safe and sound and I have figured out all the kinks!! woot!

Now, where were we?? Oh yes tomorrowland speedway..not test track..oops.

Last year I skipped this ride to ride something else with Kayla while John and Jack went on. I was excited to try it! Especially since it was now night and much cooler out! Kayla and I rode together. She was digging being a driver But she is so short and made me push the pedal lol! Kelly rode with Lily, Jack with John and Jeff with Weston.

Who gave this chick her license, Pep Boys??

After this we were heading towards Hanuted Mansion when Kayla started having a pre-teen moment. Aka being a brat. I decided at that moment that it was time to go. Not even Disney World will make me tolerate snottiness from my eight year old. Tude has consequences! I also realized at that moment that I lost my ktw card!! Last place I had it was CRT.. we said good bye to Kelly and her fam and headed to CRT!

Luckily when we got there the lady remembered me and said ahh yes, you left your card! I'll be back in a minute with it! Score! I don't have charging privileges on my card, but I just didn't feel like taking any extra tme out to get a new one! While we waited for a "minute" John and I took some pics.

While we were waiting Jack whipped me in the back with a light up necklace that Kelly had bought him over by speedway.. that's the miserable look on my face above! It REALLY hurt! Finally after abuot 30 mins, the lady brought me my card! It was time to go back to CSR fer sure now!

I took some pics of the beautiful night time MK and got a sad that our first night in a park was done.

(I forgot to mention earlier, on our way back to the MK we parked at the Poly so we could grab the monorail)

We headed up the ramp for the monorail and waited a little bit.

Once we got off the monorail we saw that there was a Hula Hooping contest going on! Actually it looked pretty much as if they were closing up shop and just goofing around. Kayla asked if she could hula hoop. Hula hooping is her jam, and I was oer being mad at her. PLUS it was a spontaneous Disney moment... which is very unlike me So I sadi go for it!

Well guess what?? She was the Hula Hooper of the day! The ladies were sooo impressed by her and couldn't believe how long she was going for! She would have kept going all night if a certain little brother didn't run into her and knock the hula hoop down! She had a whole group of people watching her at this point too lol! The girl said she hadn't ever seen anyone hula hoop like that before lol. She didn't even start counting her hoops until right before Jack hit her and she had already hooped 154 times!! A record for that day! The girl said she wished she started counting when Kayla started ..oh well! Kayla was smitten to have all the attention! All the CM's showered her with praise and attention, which made Kayla's life! They also awarded her a certificate and put her name up on a board for Hula hooper of the day!

We were all really excited for her, but ready to head back to CSR for reals now. but not before I got this loving shot:

I forgot to mention in my last post, that after Kayla was done winning the hoop contest i decided to start some shopping. Well I walked out of there with $115.00 worth of pins...!!!!!!! John almost had a heart attack!! Pics of those later to come!

Ok next day, day 2 in the parks. Monday September 14,2009.

Today we got to sleep in a little bit. Breakfast wasn't until 8:45. I am glad we did this, because the drive was really catching up with us! We all got up with a wake up call from stitch again! He didn't scare us quite as bad this time! We were doing great with timing this morning! I was really proud of everyone! Especially tired as heck John! We were out the door on time. Yay!

But we took the wrong way to get to AKL.. first time getting lost. Ok ok ok.. we finally get to AKL, we are still ok on time. We pull in and drive right past where we were supposed turn. The lay out looked different from last year, but that hadn't clicked just yet. Finally we completely left, and pulled back in and asked the security guard, "UHM..how does one get to Boma??" and he replies, oh they changed so and so, make your first left... DOH'! Once we turned all was ok! We parked and ran in like animals to find Jophia! They were already seated and waiting patiently for us! Although, I know Sophia was dying inside a little! Her motto is, "you can sleep when you're dead"!! She never usually does late breakfasts. When planning I had to keep in mind that this is not just my vacation. This is also John's time away from work to unwind and relax. So scheduling some breakfasts later was going to have to happen!

John and Kayla were beyond excited for this breakfast!! It was there favorite last year! John loaded up a good three times..possibly 4!! Kayla even went up more than once! Jack was thrilled to drink the jamba juice stuff! I enjoyed it as much this year as I did last. i gotta say too, just like last year the place wasn't stupid packed like some places! Also, they have a rocking fruit selection here!


Breakfast ruled and it was time to go to Mara. Sophia has been talking about zebra domes for over a year! So I had to go with her and see what these things were! She got them and I had one and half! They are pretty darn good! Idk that I would make a special trip for them, but I would get them if in the area! No pics, they were gobbled up by all pretty fast! They were very , cute too LOL. Definitely visually appealing!

I have written in my book, and I think I forgot to add earlier, on this trip we also started a pressed penny collection! We found some awesome ones at the Mara!

After we were done at AKL it was time to hit a park! Today we were doing DHS! I know some people dislike this park, but i LOVE it! I'm not sure why, but I just do. The sorcerer Mickey hat is my fav icon as well! I am mad that they changed it from MGM to DHS though!! We got there pretty late for a park day, but this trip was all about stopping and smelling the roses and some commandoness

We headed up the street with the intention of getting Fast passes. first we stopped for some photo pass pics! Sophia ordered a CD so hopefully I will have some pics of that soon!! After we took those pics we got seperated.. not sure how lol. Could possibly be because the strettmosphere cop was messing with us!

He got the lady on the soap box to mess with us too lol

Finally he let us go! He made sure to add a few smarty pants remarks about our double stroller and lazy kids as we walked away though lol!

Craptastic quick pics along the way to TSMM..

we got to the FP spot for TSMM and of course the machine is broken down... and the CM's there were like stuck on stupid. There was a machine open that she could have grabbed our FP's for, but she was really wanting to get our FP's from the machine we were standing in front of! Weird. Anywho, while we were waiting for our FP's TSMM broke down..oops. We were gonna wait it out and see how long it would take to fix s we could run on as soon as they reopened it, but it was HOT out today! We were all in need of some A.C and all we had done so far was walk form the start of the park to TSMM!!

Eventually we got our Fp's and I think the return time was either between 2and 3 or 3 and 4. either way it was before 8 pm! This ride is still so popular and I was afraid that we wouldn't get any FP's considering how late we got to the park!

In stead of waiting for TSMM to reopen we decided to hit up the informative and most importantly air conditioned One Man's Dream.. Another first for us!!

I absolutely LOVED this attraction! I love history as it is, so to see nothing but WDW history was amazing! Totally up my alley! I wish they offered wdw history classes..or wdw classes period.. Maybe they do?? that is something I could get down with! I loved how everything was separated into time periods in here! Amazing to see how all the magic started! Kayla absolutely loved this as well and was blown away by it all!

I clearly loved all the stuff in here and took a ton of pics! So I hope you do not mind me sharing SO many!

So I was trying to get a pic of the tree of life mock up, but these 2 kids would not MOVE!! Eventually I had to be like, uhm..can you move. please!! I waited a while too!! I wonder sometimes, where do the parents go off to? Regulate your kids please!

At this point it was time to enter the theater and watch the movie. I loved it! Kayla thought it was pretty awesome as well! john also enjoyed it, but jack was kinda like huh?? Not old enough yet to appreciate it! he will for sure one day!


After One Mans dream we were all cooled down and felt more at ease! Sophia suggested we go to the Animation area.. Another first for us!! Well holy guacamole, we've got chips!! We hit the character jackpot!! Who knew all these characters were hidden in this beautiful air conditioned area!!??!! Well Sophia obviously, but not I lol I mean we really lucked out!

The first character we saw was Mrs. Incredible!! NO line..we walked right up!

THEN, the moment I have been waiting for, for a very long time. Sorcerer Mickey! I mean there was no line or anything.. maybe 3 people ahead of us!! Are you kidding me?? I was stokedddd! So was Sophia! We got on line quicker than you can say Jenn Paul!

Sophia has a MUCH more flattering pic of me... hard to look good when you are hot as heck, and gained 20 lbs before your trip..grr.. hopefully these pics will motivate me for next year!! and NO, I am not being negative. Just honest. I still love myself and all that lol

After Sorcerer Mickey we saw the UP characters!! yeah, told you, total character Jack pot.

This line however was NOT short..and Jack was in a MOOD! he was being a terror. I was pretty embarrassed. Butttt..what can you do. We knew he would break down at some point. At least we were in air conditioning and dealing with it!!

after what seemed like forever, but was actually about 20-30 mins we got to meet these guys!!

The photo pass pics are better than the ones I was able to get.

After we were done with them, we saw Frozone from the Incredibles! Again, no line.. no one even near him!! Sophia's hubs Joe was SOOO excited to see him lol He really likes this guy!

After this we left and started to make our way towards who knows where when we saw that that Voyage of the Little Mermaid was about to start.. (or at least I thought was about to!) i like this show, as does Kayla, and i figured jack would like it! Joe also fancies Ariel, so it was a win win situation!! while we were waiting John mentioned he wanted to see the stunt show( Lights, motor, ACTION!)... well we looked at the times and there were only 2 left for the day. One in about 15-20 mins and then one right when we had an ADR. I told him to take Jack and go see it! Aren't you proud of how go with the flow I am being!! truth be told, i had NO interest in seeing this show, but he wanted to SOOO badly last year. Last year it was CLOSED..Doh'! So how could I not let him go see it! Plus, my rough and tough Jack would love it! he is at the cars,trucks, motorcycle obsessed age! not to mention he is a fan of destruction



So off they went. With the camera... We stayed behind to watch VOTLM.

After mermaid was done, we saw that the walk on time for TSMM was like walk on pretty much.. maybe 10 mins? Whatever, we were going! Sorry John and jack! When life hands you a golden opportunity like a walk on for the most popular ride, you best take it!

I kicked Kayla's butt this round. I have no mercy, I don't care how old you are! hahah.. I say this like I got 300k points! It was nice to have some time away from Jack and just be with my Kay Kay!

After we were done we walked over to the Sorcerer hat and called John. good timing, he had just finished up with the stunt show! While we waited for John I bought MORE pins! Since I had SOOO many snack credits, i treated Jophia to some snacks, as well as Kayla and myself! Hellllo churro stand by sorcerer hat! Freaking yum!! I hadn't had a churro in who knows how long!! Carrie, I see why you love them oh so much, i totally thought of you as I devoured it in an obscene amount of time!

Once John got there, I decided it was time to go seperate ways and have some more girl time with Kayla! PLUS, we were going to try Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster! I knew jack couldn't go on these, so it was best if only one of us went! I wanted to be the first to do these with her. John and jack stayed back with jophia and went on the great movie ride.. (western side ??)

We got to TOT, (which is very cool looking) and pretty much walked right on. uhm.. we HATED it! Thank god Kayla was there and I had to remain calm for her sake, because I was panic attacking the WHOLE ride. ugh.. I get why people like it, but I am not a fan of being dropped then shot back up..all while doors open and show you how far u you are!! No thanks! and poor kayla, weighs nada and would shoot up every time the thing dropped! We both got off with smiles, and laughed at how chicken we were! But I think we could both tell we were shaky!! I told her I was super proud of her fr going on and facing fear! I also promised that she wouldn't have to go back on it! That was our deal, you can't say you don't like something until you try it at least one time!! Sorry john, no ToT for you lol.

Once we were done there we headed over to RnR. Kayla was not in any mood to go on after ToT. Lucky for her, she was too short anyways! About 1/2 inch too short! So that is our ride for next year! Truth be told, i wasn't sure I had it in me to soothe her on this ride if she freaked anyway! Like I said, next year. A whole year to re man up LOL!! While in that area we met some CM's who were doing a create your own cd thingy and pin traded with them!

I called John after that and we decided to meet at TSMM, it was time to use our fast passes!! Woot!

Again, I loveeeeeee this ride!! Like love it love it! During it though it messed up and skipped 2 or 3 of the screens you are supposed to shoot at. Joe was pissed.. he had a rocking score going, and would have dominated if he was able to get at those 3 screens! At the end of the ride i said something to the CM about the ride being broken down, and she said I know, go wait down there and we will let you right back on!!! Score! This time the ride worked properly.. I don't recalls scores though

It was getting close to our ADR time, but we decided we had enough time to go see Muppets #-D. Kayla has a new found obsession with the Muppets. She loved this attraction when she was there in 2005 and the love of them has just grown and grown and grown! Which I love! Mupets were one of my absolute favorites when I was little! Muppet movies, muppet babies, muppet everything! Naturally I love this attraction as well!

The show was great and corny as always! I loved it!! Now it was time for our ADR at 50's Prime Time Cafe!! Last year, jack was TERRIBLE at this dinner. Like omg terrible. The wait was also ridiculous last year. So I was scared of how things were going to go this year! Jack had not had a nap today and it was hottt..eek. We checked in, and were seated pretty quickly, within 10 mins. Ok, so far so good! Once we were seated though,, he got a bit nutty. But I was able to calm him down this year! I mean, he wasn't in the best behavior mode, but the people next to me said he wasn't bad at all! Thanks couple without kids celebrating your anniversary! I will take that as a compliment! Cousin Jennifer was our server today. I remeber because we share the awesome name Jennifer..but don't EVER call me Jennifer.. I hate that. I also hate when people spell my name with one N. I am JeNN, two n's not JeN.with one N. Just a little FYI for you all

She wasn't a great server, but in her defense, she seemed to be working entirely too many tables/sections. She did however put some vegetables on John's spoon and choo choo it into his mouth!!

Again, I have no pics of our food, but I can tell you what we got

We all had some form of a milk shake..well almost all of us. Most of us also had the pot roast. Which I reallly enjoyed! Joe had the meat loaf, and he liked it! Dessert wasn't anything too memorable. i got the smores again.. they were ok. I am not sure what everyone else had and don't feel like looking up the menu lol.

After dinner Jophia headed back to the resort, and we decided we would stay for a bit!!! I love DHS and just wasn't ready to go!!

Drawing a blank right now on what you were doing, but in a picture of Jack, behind him are two people and all you see are their pant legs. The one lady pants are entirely soaked...guessing they spilt something on them as nothing makes you wet there that I remember.. Drawing a blank right now on what you were doing, but in a picture of Jack, behind him are two people and all you see are their pant legs. The one lady pants are entirely soaked...guessing they spilt something on them as nothing makes you wet there that I remember.. It just cracked me up for some reason (hoping this is not one of your friends, if so, I apologize )
OMG.. you are in my head.. I almost put a caption under that pic saying, opos they peed lol. But as i posted i wondered the same thing! that was in muppet 3-D.. maybe the water squirters outside??

We said our goodbyes to Jophia and John said he had to go to the bathroom. Well about 10-15 mins goes by and he's still not out! I text him that we are going on character hunt! He texts back that he is having a "prime time problem" in the bathroom.. (TMI , I know..but it was hysterical!) Ok, well do what you gotta do, we out!

I wanted soooo badly to meet the Monsters Inc. crew! It was getting late, and tonight was an EMH night, but I was told the characters wouldn't be out for that. I had about 10 mins to get to where they were.. don't you know that every CM I asked gave me wrong directions!! FINALLY, we made it there and there was one couple there.. they were done though and waiting for Sully.. Uhm.. huh?? You mean the characters are staying out?? Doh'!
Whatevs, yay Mike and Sully! Jack was in heaven!

On our way out, we noticed a CM with some pins that we wanted!! Yay for trading! Although, I can't recall what we traded at this moment!

After that we started heading back to meet up with John. I told him to meet us over by Star Tours. Of course I say I'll be there in a minute and take an hour.. but we HAD to stop to take some pics!!

Finally we made it over back to John. We decided we would ride Star Tours..another first..kind of! Even jack got to go on!! Woot!

During this ride I had one of those flash backs that you see in a movie. I suddenly had a VERY vivid memory of being on this ride as a child. But only it was body wars then. I do NOT remember most of my child hood, so this memory brought insta-tears to my eyes. It was very weird and emotional. Good thing so much was going on and my kids didn't notice!

After riding this, which everyone liked, we decided we would check out the dance party that was happening over at the play house disney studio! I guess they have this during EMH's? It was very cute! Jo and Goliath were there, and people making balloon animals, etc.. bubbles galore, awesome music! It was very cute!

Then all of a sudden, Mickey and Minnie came in!! Woo hoo!

The kids had a blast here, and I was stoked that we stayed for the EMH's! Again, one of my favorite parks!! After they were done being silly we decided to head back to CSR and get a swim in!! I lovee late night swimming and Kayla all of a sudden loves swimming! I figured what the hey! Of course we stopped at some shops on the way out and di a bit of shopping.. and guess what tattooed punk rock mom got?? That's right, disney stick people figure stickers..for the back of my mini..booo ya! Yes I am an official dork!

Awesome update! I was proud of myself when we hit the character jackpot....Mickey, Incredibles and UP!

We were so lucky that we didn't get dumped on by rain again! It started but didn't last long.

Oh Jenn, I hate to ruin your childhood memory---but Body Wars was in the Wonders of Life pavilion in Epcot. Same type of ride, but unfortunately not the same place.

I used to love that ride, I remember something about a splinter and you traveled through the body to get it or something. I wish they'd bring it back!!

When we got back to CSR, I saw a snail with a shell on the side walk. Well you owuld have thought that someone gave me a million bucks, because I was smitten! I have never seen a snail in a shell, and thought it was only in cartoons LOL. I picked that snail up by his little shell and carried him all the way back to our room! I made Kay and Jack knock on Jophia's dor too, so they could see!

This thing was seriously coool! We loved looking for snails the rest of the trip! I forgot to mention all the green tree frogs (i think that is what they were) that we saw too! I have always seen bunnies and lizards in Disney, but these were bright lime green tree frogs everrrywhere! I saw lots of toads too! It was really awesome and it truly made the resort that much cooler for the kids!

We asked Sophia if t hey would like to join us by the pool. I figured she would say no, since she doesn't swim..LAME. But she said yes!! Woo hoo! Her mom joined us as well! Little did we know that Jeff and Weston would be by the pool too! He had called me earlier to ask if we were going, but when I called back, he didn't answer, so I assumed he was back at his room asleep, since it was on the later side. As luck would have it, he was still there and weston was having a ball!

Since Sophia was so stubborn and wouldn't swim, I asked her to take some pics!

Poor Alice, jack truly gave this woman a heart attack! She was so afraid every time he would run, jump or just jet off! She made sure he had his life vest on lol

and let me just tell you... he was sooo happy to be swimming in there! and I thought it was awesome how independent he was! Kayla would have NEVERRRRRRRRRR been in a vest away from the stairs without me right there at that age! But not Jack, he was loving that he could "swim"! and finally this year Kayla was swimming on her own too! Although, her confidence was not 100% at times! She still stayed close. But she was even swimming under water! I love water , so I was so excited to finally see my babies acting like their fishy momma!

At some point Weston fell asleep and John and Jeff went over to the hot tub..how cute is this little bubbers!

It was getting late and it was time ot get ready to go, but not before one more pose!

Today had been an awesome day! Definitely better than last years DHS day! We were soo beat though! Too bad we had a super early ADR tomorrow!
