Plan was to meet John at the Boats, so we could take the boat over to HDDMR..well I am sitting there and it is getting dangerously close to the time we needed to leave. No John.... ok..I call him, and he is STILL at the bus stop at CSR waiting!! Not one MK bus had passed by yet! Now I start to panic! Dinner is at 5, and it is like 4:30.
Ok, new plan, I'll take the monorail over to our car, just meet me there.... I'm waiting..waiting..waiting.... nothing.
Ok, new plan, just meet me at HDDMR.... Kayla and I drive over to Fort Wilderness, and I surprisingly do not get lost! Last year we got so lost..not sure how! We get there and park... I call Disney dining and ask if they will close the doors on us or if we will be allowed in still!They say yes, they will hold for 15 mins.
Ok, now how the heck do we get to HDDMR?? NO ONE is around to even ask!! I see a bus and run up to it, the man says oh this will take ya there. It is now 5:15. I get on, and the bus stops every minute..ok, I'm sure it was only like 3 stops but i was anxiety ridden at this point!
Finally we get there and I runnnnn up to the doors and they swing open..HI,ihavearessiebutweweresolateandgotlostandiwastoldwecouldstillbeseated...(translation: Hi, I have a ressie but we were so late and got lost and i was told we could still be seated) came out of my mouth faster than anything that has ever come out!! They look at me like I am certifiable and say OF COURSE we can still seat you!! Like I was there on time all along...
Ok, but my hubs is still on his way here with my son, will they be seated?? Of course they will still be seated!! Oh..ok...
SO word for the wise, if you are late or get lost for HDDMR, don;t have a heart attack! BUT, leave PLENTY of time to get there!
We get to our table and I am thrilled to see it is pretty close to the stage! Much closer than last years table! Our wait "Bor" then comes up and is totally messing with us! In that fun kind of way though..although, I guess he couldn't tell that I was frazzled and wasn't in too much of a mood for being screwed with. Kayla thought he was funny though! (he was, I was just grumpy). I tried explaining to him that John and jack were still on their way, and he seemed a bit annoyed. Sorry dude, I'm annoyed too! This is supposed to be our super fun, last night/Johns b-day dinner and now half of it is over! But he gets our drink order and says he'll be right back with yumminess! OK!
He comes back and then explains his name isn't really "Bor" it is Rob, and then made some super cheesy joke about it in explanation of the whole switcheroo... I forget, but I cracked a smile and he knew he had me! He also had my root beer which I was now dying for and some salad and corn bread! Still no John.
Kayla and I start chowing, and the food is quite good! well the salad anyway. The cornbread not so much. Then the show starts, and I look over and YAY, John and Jack walk in! Suddenly life was ok again..except John was in a grumpy mood now. (have I mentioned yet, that we nick named him grumpy on the trip and have since been buying him nothing but grumpy stuff?? yeah, he's not too into it... typical of a grumpy right??lol)
As the show came out to the floor, they started asking if there were any bdays! John raised his hand and Johnny came over and announced John's bday!
While Johnny was by us, I said PLEASE can you get him in the show! My daughter is dying to see him in the show! He said it was up to Flora, but he would let her know..bollocks. I thought fer sure he would say ok, after I was so cute and beggy.
We enjoyed the show the while enjoying the dinner. I know it is not the best dinner on property, but we really enjoy the fried chicken and yummy mashed taters! I did not enjoy the beans as much this year though?? I also honestly think the show is hilarious too! So do the kids! Jack doesn't even know what they are saying, and he is still hysterical!

During dessert, we got another surprise!! Flora came up and asked John if he would be in the show!! YES, of course he will! So John got up and went with her, and I got the video camera and DSLR ready! Kayla was beside herself with excitement and jack was pissed that John left us lol.
Finally the show started back up, and out comes the cast and John and the others chosen for the show!
Then they go back to rehearse or whatever it is is they do back there lol. They come back out and John was cast as the Indian! I almost peed my pants fer real! Btw, recording video and snapping pics at the same time is hard!
Unfortunately i didn't get many shots and the ones I did get, Kayla took most of them..in case you couldn't tell lol! Also, a photo pass looking guy had tapped me on the shoulder and said don't worry about it, he would take pics for me... good thing I took my own pics, he gave me one pic of John, and it didn;t even look like he was at HDDMR lol! After the show was done, they handed out certificates to everyone and thanked them for being such good sports!

I have to say, this was an amazing experience! HDDMR is so fun as it is, but to have John up there made Kayla's life and I have never laughed so hard ever! he has a giant pair of..well something I will never have lol! He definitely made our night better! and he winded up having the best birthday dinner any of us could have hoped for! I was determined to get him in that show, and it worked! My cute begging DID work
Once dinner was done, we were all beat from the travels getting to dinner! Originally we had planned on going back to the MK, but none of us had it in us
I was super mega bummed!
