Denise
thanks!

Great Update !! Ilove supper at CP but haven't tried breakfast yet!!!

I think we may do a dinner out of convenience there next year!

Ok.. so I was wrong.. before Jophia split we all went over to Splash mountain, and that is when John took Jack over to Peter Pan! Btw- this was another first for Kayla and I! Can't believe I forgot that! It was an awesome ride! I def see what all the fuss is about!

After that, Jophia left! Kayla and I snatched up fast passes for Splash mountain so we could ride again later!

On our agenda first was to head over to Aloha Aisle and get some snacks! What you ask..do you even have to ask?? That's right, a Dole Whip Float! and Kayla had a big hunk of pineapple!

On our way we saw an empty character line and decided to jump in while we had this rare opportunity!

Hello rafiki!
Disney2009secondcard502.jpg

I love meeting hm! Always fun and full of life!

After meeting Rafiki and getting some snacks , we decided to head over to PoTC and get Kayla her hair wrap! That is ALL she wanted this whole trip. Unfortunately the CSR pool did not have a hair wrap station like ASMU did, so we couldn't ft this in earlier in the trip. When we got there, there were about 5 people ahead of us, which I wasn't expecting for some reason. I signed us up and was waiting when the girl said I could come back in x amount of time and Kayla's turn should be ready... well, what to do what to do... AHA... ride Potc of course!! Walk on!

This is the only pic I got lol
Disney2009secondcard504.jpg

After the ride we looked around a bit....then went back to just wait it out..well what do you know, they were ready for her..20 m ins after I signed up..not the 90 that she said! I'll take it!

In case anyone is curious, this cost $28.00. It included three beads too. I think it is like $2.00 per each inch of hair? The the beads cost different amounts. I woulda paid $50.00. I didn't care. Kayla absolutely LOVES this! Shes already got next years design picked out! lol

Sometimes I let Kayla take a picture..
Disney2009secondcard514.jpg

earlier in the day we had passed the market place where Aladdin is and were told they would be out later. We decided to head over there now and see if the line was short enough to meet them... It wasn't very short..but I really wanted a pic with Jasmine and Aladdin..I was bummed Jack wasn't with us ;/ This was a HOT line..no shade there for a while..and the mom behind me was MISERABLE! I felt bad for her kids! Finally it was out turn! They loved kayla and were super impressed at t he costumes and carpet she told them about!! They were a great pair!

Disney2009secondcard518.jpg

After this we decided to head back over to splash mountain and use up our fast passes! Again, we loved it! Then we thought we would ride BTMR..All Kayla wanted to do the whole trip was ride this, and I just never wanted to waste the time..it's pain to wait in a line like that when Jack can't ride. Next year he should be able to though:thumbsup2

Stand by time said 20 mins..not bad and we were alone, so let's go for it..I walk up and the CM says, sorry the line is about 75 mins at this point.uhm..no it;s not, it says 20 right there... Sorry, we knowthat is wrong, something is down..blah bah blah.. BUMMER :( Kayla was so sad!

Then I get a tap on my shoulder and a man says, excuse me Ma'am, I have 2 extra fast passes if you would like them! UHM, heck yes! Thank you Mr.Man! He saved the day! Talk about some pixie dust! Kayla was thrilled and thanked him a million times! So we got to ride her fav ride after all!

After that we decided to head over to Fantasyland to see if we could meet Ariel! We hadn't met her since 2005 and I really wanted a new pic with her! The line was pretty long, but mostly shaded, and there is that little play area for the kids.

I let Kayla play out there while I waited in line for Ariel to return. The line was kind of long, but the people were friendly! Until, the lady behind me started going off on her mom about how she would NEVER take HER kid out of school just for Disney World...and then gave me a glare..her mom told her she was a dumb butt and missing a couple days of school is hardly anything to worry about, especially when September is such a great time to go! I was a good girl and said nada! Kayla's trip was fully approved by her school , as are many kids trips, so Idk why the lady felt the need to push HER issue on others..weird.

Anywho, finally it was our turn to meet Ariel, and she did NOT disappoint like the one we had met at Akershu's!

Once we finished up with Ariel it was time to start making our way to the front of the park to meet John and Jack for john's birthday dinner!

*Next Up- The most frustrating ADR to date! and another Surprise!

I love your mom and daughter day! You guys look like you had so much fun! Our our mom and daughter day we went a totally different route and explored Tom Sawyer Island. I also love the Dole Pineapple Whips! Great choice for a snack! I love the update!

Great pix of Ariel and what pixe dust for the FPs !!!!

By the way I started my tr for next year ! Something abot a HOT ITALIAN!!!!!!!!

Alright, we're back from our trip and I'm all caught up on the TRs I was subbed to before starting my own. :faint:

I have just one thing to say----

OMFG how in the world have you never done Splash Mountain before? It's only the BEST FREAKIN RIDE in all of WDW (or at least I think so). It's so fun, great songs, lots of cute characters, 12 minutes long and gives you a nice little splash but not an overly soaking wave of water. Plus, the drop! Looooooove it and so glad you finally gave it a try. :thumbsup2

Love the mom/daughter afternoon. What fun for the two of you. And nice pixie dust with the fast passes (we've received that pixie dust in the past and also passed it along). Great pics...as always.

What a fun day

Glad you got some pixie dust and Kayla was able to get on Big Thunder Mountain :wizard:

Good Girlbiting your tongue.

I can't stand people who talk about you. If you have something to say, say it to me. Stop being passive aggressive(think that what it called )

YES, that is exactly what it was, passive aggressive! Funny thing is, she was SO nice to me up until that point! weird!

Yes, I always try to pass asmuch pixie dust along as possible..ever encounter people who refuse it, and look at you like you are some sort of pyscho?? you just KNOW they aren't disers LOL

:rolleyes1..... I know:sad2: BUT, I agree, def a fantastic ride! BTW, I know how I skipped it, Kayla wasn't tall enough in 2005 and that was a time crunch trip, so we skipped the long may line. Last year when we got a chance it was too chilly to even fathom getting wet..of course i didn't realize you barely get wet if you sit in the back:rolleyes: but now I know, and we LOVE it! Hopefully Jack will be tall enough next year!

I truly love our girl days! I would like to do a girl day and then a mommy son / father daughter half days too! It def means a lot to them!

Awww I remember when I was Kayla's age and LOVED hair wraps!! My best friend's older sisters learned how to do them so we would always have them in, haha. That Aladdin was cute and your Ariel was pretty this time!!

How nice of that guy to give you guys his FP's! I'm glad Kayla was able to ride her fave!

I just got all caught up ! :goodvibes
I have really enjoyed your trip report, my friend just got back
and did alot of the stuff you did. So, I enjoyed reading about it. :thumbsup2
You have a great family and beautiful children, love the pictures of your son
sleeping. Reminds me of my son when he was younger.
Well, actually this year for his birthday at Disneyland, he fell asleep
at dinner on the booth, and practically was sleep walking all the way back
to our hotel. :rotfl:
I think it is so cool that you are able to meet up with friends, that
would be a blast ! :)
Can't wait to read the rest !:surfweb:

Okay, that was such a great idea to have a mom/daughter day. :cutie:

So cool she got to meet Aladdin and Jasmine together!

Ariel looks pretty!

hey, thanks so much! Gotta love when a kids falls asleep at the table..you just know they had a fun filled day!

Okay, that was such a great idea to have a mom/daughter day. :cutie:

Ariel looks pretty!

I love our mom/daughter days! They are few and far between lately! For a long time it was just Kayla and I, so it's nice to just be with each other sometimes! I try to do it at home as well..but life gets so busy!

I loved the pic of the Ariel statue with the castle in the background.

What fun to have mother/daughter time (and no little one who can't go on the rides - we have that here, too). I can't believe that ONE hair wrap was $28! I figured she got several for that price, but I only see one in her hair. Wow. (Maybe I just had no idea what they cost, but it seems pricey to me!) That's great that it made her so happy! :)

Glad you enjoyed that pic..I was getting bored waiting in that line lol!

and yeah, hair wraps are pricey! I almost died last year at the price:scared1: I at least knew what to expect this year lol

Yes, I always try to pass asmuch pixie dust along as possible..ever encounter people who refuse it, and look at you like you are some sort of pyscho?? you just KNOW they aren't disers LOL

I have been there. We always give away fast passes that we aren't using!

This fact is not true! My daughter and I rode in September and we were in the back row. We had to wait to go up the hill right as another log came down the little splash. We were soaked to the bone! It took all day to dry out. My husband and son that went on it first sat in the back and came off dry. You never know with that ride!

Your report is great! Thanks for sharing your trip!princess:

Hmmm...I heard the 2nd row was the worst but the back is usually ok..good to know! LOL.. I don't mind getting wet, but the one night was kinda chilly and Kayla would have been mis!

Hey- I just got here. Great TR!

The flying carpet idea was genius. It's too bad you couldn't take it in- but it might have been hard to manuever that bad boy all day anyway.

We're smokers here too...shhhh. My plan was to quit on our lat trip to DW. But heck we took my mother- and I needed a cigarette before we even got our bags from baggage claim! But there's always next trip...

Your kids are so dang cute BTW.

Dole Whip Float

In 44 days, that cup of heaven will be mine! :cloud9: I'm sooo looking forward to it!!!

Do you think people would think I was crazy if I got it done? :rotfl2: I just think it looks so cool!

What a nice man! We had extra fast passes that we tried to give away, but people looked at us like we were crazy. They thought there was a catch or something. Oh, well... :confused3

Until, the lady behind me started going off on her mom about how she would NEVER take HER kid out of school just for Disney World...Kayla's trip was fully approved by her school...

How rude! We took our kids out of school even though the school did not approve, because September is such a great time to go!!! :rotfl2:
