Its the IalwayswantedtogotowdwbutnevergottonowIam..FINALLY !! preTR 11/28..COMPLETE!!

Hi Lynn!

Love your story. I'm so glad Andrea and your daughter are doing this for you. You really sound like a nice lady. Wish I was down there at the same time, I would go to the Christmas party with ya! :goodvibes

We are planning on attending the Christmas party in 2013. With money being tight and this current trip costing so much we may have to postpone that date though. DH wants to do a short cruise with it. Plus it would be over the actual dates of Christmas and New Years because of school vacations and those prices are stinkin' astronomical!

We stayed at BWI on our last trip. I didn't like actually staying there because they don't have a counter service on location (that means no point in refillable mugs) and when my daughter got sick it was nearly impossible to get her something decent to eat. The restaurants don't do carry-out and room service was limited (and expensive). That being said, the Boardwalk was a neat place and a lot of fun to visit, especially at night.

Congratulations on your weight loss!

Shoot, I have to take DD to dance class. I'll be sure to come back and post more later.

yay Perla I'm so glad you made it over here...I totally get you about the finances..boy do I get it:headache:..you know when Andrea and I were planning our trip we were going to stay at BWV and Ive heard comments from people about things like that but at that time spoodles was still there and Ive heard it is no longer...truthfully my dream vacation would be to resort hop...stay for 3 or 4 nights in POFQ..then hop for 3 or 4 nights to POR..in fact I have my mansion picked all out:lmao:..then move over to BC for same time and then end up for a week at GF...ah that would be my :cloud9:...thank you for congrats on the weight loss...i only lost a pound today but hey thats 24 lbs in a week..not bad eh;)

Love all the Halloween pictures! We were at DL when they put up the Halloween overlays on Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, but we didn't get to do a Halloween party (I think in CA they know that Halloween season doesn't really start in the middle of September )

:lmao:yeah well its really hard for me especially to get into a halloween frame of mind when its still 90º outside...but mostly by oct. 1 everything is decorated..

Wow, thanks for all the Halloween pictures. The fireworks look amazing and rather different from the norm! And it will be fun to sample the special treats!

I am kind of looking forward to seeing DL by myself. I am a type A tourer, and like to see everything and do everything (thank you, touring plans) and the rest of my family sometimes objects to that pace! So I won't bug anyone by pushing it. Are the single rider lines faster for most of the rides? I have never done them, but hope it will save me some time too.

And I want to see WOC, so I am trying to decide if I want to splurge and try to get a sit-down dinner, order a picnic, or just go for a fast pass. I have a careful budget but I can go for a nice meal once.

Your grandchildren are darling. How far away do they live?

they also have this amazing pumpkin muffin to DIE for that is stuffed with cream cheese frosting..it is sooo good..if you like pumpkin you HAVE to get this...

Just in case you don't have it, I have the recipe for that. Let me know if you don't have it and want it!

Your title reeled me in (just as I was about to close down the computer and go to bed!). Those were quite some paragraphs in that first post, but you write like I think so I just squinted my eyes and went for it. :) How AMAZING to have found such a friend, who could rope your anti-Disney (by the way I was like that, too, throughout my 20s) daughter into helping get you out for MORE Disney!

We had our first WDW trip last December...little hint...be *prepared* for cold. Serious nasty cold. Not just a cold snap, but it was colder out there, literally freezing, than it was back home in western Washington state, for most of our trip. Bring a coat, scarves, gloves, a hat, toasty socks... And then hope the temperatures are more normal and you don't need them! We *thought* we were prepared but we simply were not. My husband doesn't switch to long pants until it hits 32 out here, usually...and he was nearly in tears while watching Illuminations one night, it was SO cold.

Your grandkids are just gorgeous!

single rider lines are usually pretty fast...now if you are there on a really busy day then idk how that will go but I think you should be fine..wow its really hard for me to tell you which dining place to splurge on because there are quite a few that I would choose from however, being that you have never seen WOC, I would say go for that one...orcapotter, whom I have posted a link to her TR in here went and did it and she describes her experience very well and I think it just might be all the convincing you will need;) so you should definitely read it...

Just in case you don't have it, I have the recipe for that. Let me know if you don't have it and want it!

hi bumbershoot and I'm so glad you are over here...I'm so glad you liked the title..I remember telling Andrea that I needed to come up with a name for my TR and she was all like hmmm:scratchin...and I go I know, (just joking) I could call it the I always wanted to go to wdw but i never got to then i was going to and i couldnt and now i finally am TR...and she said YEAH YEAH say it like that ...run it all together...when I did it though, it wouldnt all fit:headache: so I had to smoosh it down some:confused3.. thanks for the offer but I posted that recipe for everybody like 3 yrs ago on the DL boards and I notice that every year the same post comes back up over there :rotfl:i've never made them though...firstly, I dont know if I'm afraid they may not come out as yummy and secondly I cant eat them now anyway because it has pumpkin in it and I am limited on things I can have:confused3...ooh I know all about that cold spell...Andrea showed me pics of SNOW???:scared1:i will die if that happens this year...I am such a cold person as it is..wow 32º??? :eek:I dont even turn my air on till its at least 85º in my house and sometimes not till its 90:rolleyes: so I will die for sure...what I'm really hoping is that it will be nice and warm and toasty over there...I want to wear pants and long sleeves and a jacket but not have to wear a big burly coat you know???
thanks both of you for the compliments on my bb's:love: ..Pittypat, they live just on the other side of town...I pick them up from school 3 days a week and keep them while mom and dad are at work...they are both disney fanatics too...my grandaughter gets to go to DL alot because her father's mother takes her but my poor grandson wants to go soo bad and I cant take him.:sad1:his birthday is coming up and we were really trying to figure out a way to take him for his bday but its just going to be too costly...mainly cause of these darn ticket prices:headache:...oh well we are going to save up and split the cost to take him as soon as school lets out for summer next year so that he can go to CARSland..hes a car finatic so I know he will love it:goodvibes

Your grand kids are adorable. I'm glad your granddaughter gets to go to DL but it makes me sad your grandson doesn't. He probably knows that she gets to go so much. Hopefully he has a wonderful trip in his future.

Awww, it's the friend here!!! thanks! I've been wanting to do it for a while, just hadn't worked out until now, plus didn't want to bring her out when it was hot! It was so dang hard to keep the secret for over two months, I was DYING!!! Anyway, one day she was asking me what the trip report title should be for a trip that she always wanted to go on, then couldn't, then planned but had to cancel, etc. and I said, "THAT'S IT"!! That's your title! LOL

Oh, and Lynn, those pics of snow were from MI at Thanksgiving, not here. We were actually the ONLY state last year NOT to get any snow! Even Hawaii got some! So no worries of snow! But, we did have the coldest December in a long time, with a record number of days below freezing! But chances of that happening again are slim, I would imagine!!

Also, really the only thing you'll be doing alone is the party! Most of the other times, one of us will be there. Even if Lauren stays with you or something! she'd love it!

Less than 3 months now until you get here!!! WOOHOO!!!

nothing new to report as far as the trip goes right now. However, Thursday night, when I came home from watching my grandbabies, I came in the house and it was dark already and just as I walked through the door I heard this voice saying "I hope you havent eaten dinner already"...I :scared1: and dropped my phone:headache: and it was my daughter standing there, home from college to visit me on the long weekend:love:...she surprised me and I was soo happy to see her I started crying..I really do miss her:sad1: but we have had a good time the whole weekend...we went to see that new movie The Help...which was very VERY good...Emma Stone was very good in it but the person that I thought was the best was Bryce Dallas Howard. she is the daughter of Ron Howard and she is an amazing actress...she played a nasty woman and did it perfectly!! If you havent seen that movie you should definitely go:goodvibes:I give it 3thumbsup2...also I have dropped more weight and it makes 33lbs in 11 days.:woohoo:...Friday my daughter and I took my grandson to Denny's and I even cut up his food and it didnt bother me...last night I made pizza and wings for my daughter and it didnt bother me there either...this is a miracle diet i tell ya:angel:...hope everyone is having a good weekend:goodvibes

Congrats on your weight loss!

I've always thought Bryce Howard to be an amazing actress.

I think I would have had a heart attack when your daughter surprised you like that. Heck I jump and scream when people that I know are home surprise me in a room that I thought was empty. :rotfl:

Happy Labor Day Everyone!!!!...

Thank you Parla and yes I know about getting scared when someone is home that you know...but this was:crazy2::lmao:...anyways today we are going to go look at laptops..she got a new laptop christmas before last and it is still really good but she plays sims alot and she says that when she does it takes up alot of memory so she just wants to buy another one:confused3...other than that we probably will rent a movie or something because there is NO bbq happening for me today :rotfl: and right now I dont really want to be around alot of food yet...I made dinner for my daughter yesterday and I was fine with it but alot of picnic bbq food I dont want to press my luck...as it stands I have a wedding to go to at the end of the month and one at the beginning of next and I hope by that time I will be at the point where I dont care...I will definitely have to take food with me but at least one of the weddings Im going to is going to have an amazing cake and the bride is going to take a piece and freeze it for me so when Im off of this round I can eat it:rotfl:btw Ive lost another 2 lbs so this makes a total of 35lbs lost in 12 days...gotta love that stuff:cutie:

yesterday I came across this interactive video of a guy who went to wdw and what he did was he made it so every ride he came to, you could click on the rides banner and you could ride it..he was funny too so I thought I would post it..some might have seen it but just in case here it is...

today is an extremely sad day for me...i just dropped off my daughter at the train station..When I moved her to LA it wasnt as bad for me..Mainly because I was tired that day and we had been driving all around LA the whole day and I drove home 5 hours and went and got my grandson as soon as I pulled in because I hadnt seen him for about a week...this time its different...she left me here..Im not tired and I feel very alone...I remember Andrea telling me something about its one thing when you are the one leaving a person but its another when that person leaves you..and I agree with that whole heartedly...My heart feels so heavy with sadness:sad1:..I think Im just going to get my grandkids and keep them for a few hours today...they will keep me busy for sure:laughing:...anyways enough of the pity party...
That video is awesome! I've never actually seen the talking trash can but he had a great interaction with it.

I know right? Push is the name of the trash can...I remember one time when my daughter was like 18 i think??...she went through this goth phase and had her nose, 2 places on her mouth and ears pierced...her ears had a number of them and one of the was HUGE!!!...anyway, Push came up to us and my daughter made a comment that a talking trash can was freaky and he said..FREAKY?? the girl with the holes all in her face is calling me freaky:rotfl2: I laughed my butt off and you could see in her face that she knew he got her good...it was hilarious....

well today I feel much better..I went and picked up my grandson and he kept me busy and my mind clear of my daughter leaving so by the time I took him home I was feeling tired and my despair was pretty much gone:flower3:...i got a video of him dancing to justin beiber and thought I would post it here for everybody to get a good laugh:rotfl:

http://youtu.be/roIFzIipBMM

I dropped another pound today:woohoo: and I got up and went to help in my grandson class as they had pictures done today...so I am wiped out right now

Glad to hear all is going well! As a just-graduated college student, leaving home is just as hard. Or, at least it was for me :rotfl:

Right now I'm trying to figure out what I want to wear to Not-So-Scary this year :confused3 The costume I was counting on makes me look like a Vienna sausage stuffed in a puff pastry.

:lmao:what are you wanting to wear? You will have to take lots of pics and post some on here..and I want to hear all about the party too:thumbsup2

yesterday afternoon I started getting these pains in my lower stomach like it could be gas or constipation:rolleyes1 i know tmi right? the only reason Im saying it is because I want to post the good the bad and whatever with this diet...anyways it pretty much kept me confined to the sofa or chair because everytime I got up to walk it hurt...I ended up going to bed early last night and although its much better, I still feel a little pain...Im going to try and drink some coffee and see if that helps:thumbsup2...i dropped 4 lbs though...I had pretty much thought I was down to losing one pound a day and was fine with it so it threw me off guard when I saw i had dropped 4lbs:woohoo:...so to date I have lost 41lbs in 15 days:cheer2::yay::banana:

Candace from Phineas and Ferb. The skirt I bought said XL on the hanger, but when I went to put it on for the convention I just got back from, it was about 4 sizes smaller than mine. I got it to work, but it wasn't pretty. I need to follow suit with your weight loss efforts!
