Update - got the first 4 nights. All 4 days I got through quickly and done by 9:05. Monday is the last call.

Monday is the last day for me, too. So far, so good. FWIW, I think it was harder to get through last year at this time.

We are going to BWVs on 12/9 for five nights in a two bedroom. I will be easy to spot as I will be celebrating. I turn 50 on 12/9 and this is where I want to spend my birthday. Still trying to decide what to do or where to go for the evening. My parents and children will be with my dh and me. Any thoughts?

How about an Illuminations cruise? When we stayed at BWV last month, we saw the boats returning after Illuminations, some had balloons on them, looked like a fun time. Another idea is to do the Candlelight Processional Package at Epcot, that way you can have a nice dinner and get reserved seats for the show.

Hey CarolMN, I'm from MN too, and will be there the same time. Tuesday is actually my last call day too.

Normally I love handling business online, but I have two problems with making these reservations that way. As already mentioned, I feel like the online requests may well be handled after the phone calls (I mean if you send an email on Monday and it is answered on Wednesday then logically a phone call Tuesday got precedence or they would have responded at the time they make your reservation, right?) Also, I don't usually have a second choice. When I call I need to know about that specific date/resort and if it is not available then I need to do some re-thinking and make phone calls with family. I wish that they would not require a second choice online.

Unless and until these matters are addressed then I expect I will be using the phone for my reservations.

Today wasn't quite as easy, but not bad. Got busy signals from 9:00 to 9:20, on hold about 3 minutes and got my last 2 nights. So I'm done! BWV 12/6 to 12/12

Called right at opening this morning and got right through. Booked last two nights of our week in a 2 bedroom standard view. We'll be there 12/5 through 12/12. Maybe we'll run into some of you.

Now comes the hard part for me - the waiting. Thanks goodness for these forums!

Too me 10 minutes of busy signals to get through, but I got all the nights I needed for my 2bd standard too. We are checking in on 12/6 and checking out 12/14. One more phone call for me.

It would be fun to run into each other in the halls!

Have any of you who have called MS recently heard anything on the recording about MS being closed for MLK day? That is the first day I have to call for my reservation and I'm wondering if they will be there since its a day off for some!

DW called a few times and the just started hitting redial and got through by 9:45am this am. We were able to get a 1br std at BWV for 12/7-12/13.

We're going "early" next year (11/29-12/07) so I finished up last week. Lots of redials. However my phone at work is ancient and doesn't have a redial button!

One time I stayed online to do their survey. I nearly LOL when they asked whether the wait time was reasonable or unreasonable. Of course it's reasonable, because if the queue gets longer than 5 minutes, the phone stops answering and gives you a busy signal! But did they ask whether the number of times you had to call to get in the queue in the first place was reasonable? Of course not!

Gee - I must have been realy lucky!! I called January 8 first thing in the morning, got through no problem and was able to book 11/28-12/3 in a 2 bedroom at VWL. It was very easy and smooth. The best part is I called American to book air, and was able to get non-stops out of Laguardia for 179.00 pp, sounds like a lot, but these flights book up fast, my mom called a few days latter to book her flights and they were over 200.00 and almost sold out on 11/28!!
