Friday.

Today is our Sea World day. Matt and Tracey drive to WDW quite regularly from North Carolina but hadn’t done Sea World in a few years, this fitted in with our plans so it had been planned for the day.
We had to queue for tickets when we got there as we wanted the fun pass so we could return again later in the trip and I wasn’t able to buy these online. We got through the turnstile and headed for the first Blue Horizons show of the day.

I really, really love this show, :lovestruc in fact it’s my favourite at SW, and most of the women blub throughout.. the kids are entranced, it is amazing to watch their faces.

Afterwards we wander towards the new Arctic section, we stop and watch Journey to Atlantis on the way and Sam thinks it’s brilliant, I think he could have spent the day watching them! We get round to Antartica and the queue is 90 mins, we tell a disappointed Evie that we will have to try again later. Over to the Sea lions next and we feed them, only losing one fish to those pesky birds! ;)

Tummies are rumbling so it’s over to Voyager’s Smokehouse for lunch. I’ve never gotton over the disappointment of the deli house closing down in the busch section, how I still crave for the beef stew in a bread bowl they did over there and Si misses his free beer :rotfl2: However the food is excellent here and we share some bbq platters which come with my fave sour dough bread. After lunch it’s the shark section, both kids think this is amazing, so we go through this a couple of times. Mum misses out the second time and enjoys some sunshine and popcorn.

It’s time for the shamu show, so over we go grabbing some icecreams and frozen drinks on the way in. Again the kids are entranced by the show.

Evie is keen to go in Shamus happy harbour to go in the water section afterwards, she loved this so much two years ago and was a highlight of her trip. Mum goes for a wander round the shops while we find a spot to sit and watch the kids. Evie is happy but Sam is just finding it too hot today and all abit much and he has the most almighty breakdown , one of those that only a tired toddler can have. I take him to dry off and change clothes all the time getting filthy looks and even being helpfully told that he may need a nap by a passer by, thanks for the tip love ;) :confused3 :furious: Have people never seen a crying two year old before??? Anyhooooo….. Matt and Tracey stay with Evie and we take Sam off (screaming blue murder) for a walk in the air-conned shops and hope he’ll drop off for a nap. We arrange to meet at the dolphin underwater area in half hour. Our stubborn son refuses to fall asleep but does calm down and cool down by the time we all meet up 45 mins later. We love this underwater area and are fascinated by the dolphins blowing some sort of bubble rings around their noses, has anyone else ever seen this? Matt suggests we go into Turtle Trek, I wasn’t overly keen and it took an age to get in, but WOW was it worth it, just a brilliant show. At this point we are all completely done in and admit defeat, we will be back later in the trip for penquins, Clyde and Seymore and shamu Rocks.

Back at the villa we order Chinese from the takeaway next to Publix, I love Chinese takeaway, but American Chinese takeaway is the bees knees….honey chicken…mmmm. Pool, beer and bed!

Next up….. Typhoon lagoon? Ohana.

That's it from me for a few days, we are off away for half term so I'll be continuing n Friday or Saturday. x

We always enjoy SW and the shows. I agree about the hospitality house, we always ate there and went to see the shire horses as well.

Kids, don't you love them! Last thing you need is some parental advice mid tantrum :bitelip:

Have a good half term, ours is next week.

Loving your photos Verity ::yes:: Aww poor Sam, sometimes I feel like having a melt down in that heat :rotfl2:

A chinese takeaway in America sounds fab. How kind of that woman to offer you parenting advice! Sounds like you had a great day at Seaworld, we haven't been for a while.
