It's taken me seven mons to write.... Day 6 pool day, Texas Roadhouse and Old Town.

Thursday.

Although the whole trip is a special one, we’ve all been looking forward to this one as it’s the Day Matt and Tracey fly in from New York. We haven’t seen them since they moved out to the states over a year ago, so we can’t wait (Evie is especially beside herself!). They are due in mid morning so should be with us for lunchtime. We have no plans for the day other than to catch up and eat at some point.

Their flight gets in on time and as expected they arrive late morning. We spend a happy afternoon by the pool catching up and enjoying the lovely weather and pool. Lunch is had by the pool, I have bought frozen TGI treats from Publix (mozzarella sticks and chicken wings) which we have along side sandwiches and crisps (Pringles cheese flavour….yum….). Some frozen cocktails were consumed at some point by the ladies as well.







At 5pm we decide to head to the 192 for some food, our first plan was Logan’s, but we remember a Texas Roadhouse and as we’ve never tried it, and Matt says it’s great we head there. The main thing I have to say about this place is….. SOUR DOUGH BREAD…. Omg, I just love this stuff and this doesn’t disappoint….drool! I know that I ask for extra and smuggle it home, it’s heated from breakfast the next day.LOL. We have a great meal here and I would recommend this place if you are fan of Logan’s Roadhouse and similar restaurants. Sam and Evie have hot dogs (the kids love the fact you can get chocolate milk in all the restaurants), Simon has half a rack of ribs with loaded potato and side of chilli, I have sirloin steak with green beans, mushrooms and sweet potato fries. I’m not sure what everyone else had. (no food pics, bad me!). There was a great balloon guy, the kids thought he was great, he was a lovely guy and very grateful for the few dollars we paid him.









We decide to head to Old Town for old times sake, Matt and I had many happy evenings here as children. We have fun wander round all the shops, Evie and Granny get some sunglasses and I get a cheesy bright pink Florida top that I secretly love. The kids con granny into some sweets at the pick n mix shop and con us into some rides at the fair.





We finish off a very happy day with some drinks back at the villa.
Next up: Sea World.
