Carol arrived during a huge downpour. Cheryl too. FtW has a lot of standing water. Very messy and still raining.

Boy, there will be a lot of upset campers this weekend! There's a 60% chance of rain the next two days at the Fort.

It's 70 here and sunny right now.

TWC just said that Orlando got over 2" in 50 minutes. YIKES.

They also said something about rain in the forecast for the next 16 days.

You can expect rain every eveing during the summer in Florida. This just happens to be a stalled front that is parked on top of the state. If the Gulf or Atlantic was a bit cooler we would have our first hurricane of the season.

Dont say the "H" word. rain I can deal with.

Ok, I'll allow 15 more days of rain, that's when we get there.
If not, we may have to rent a boat to get around the Fort!:lmao:

Nope, they weren't talking about the normal afternoon pop-up thunderstorms- they were talking about continuing bouts of heavy rain. Given the accuracy of their forecasts though, take it for what it's worth

It has been steady raining here since Sunday afternoon. Yesterday was the best day so far, It stopped for most of the day until about 5:00 or so.

I'm breaking out the old wand.....:wizard: and declaring that there be a break in the rain for the visiting Fort Fiends this weekend...

Wet day(s) at FW and WDW is better than a dry day anywhere.

Hurricanes feed off of warm water not cold.

The rain started when we arrived on Sunday, and everyone in our group is still having the best vacation in a long long time. Yesterday, the kids were swimming when the sky opened up. They loved it (at least, until the thunder started, and the pool was closed). The campground was flooded on Tuesday, and nearly dry again on Wednesday. Yesterday, the shower house was an island. Today, all the paths are accessible. Beautiful birds are everywhere. The fish are hammering the hooks - a guy pulled a 3lb large mouth from the canal along the loop, as soon as his plastic frog hit the water. It's great here :cool1:.

By the way, we never waited more than 20 minutes for any ride last week. We rode Test Track twice in a row on Thursday evening - no wait. The campground filled up yesterday, and I expect the waits will be long this weekend, no matter what the weather brings.
