It's much hotter (102F) here. But then, I'm inside and am going to stay that way. :cool1:

So, the philosophical question is whether it better to be roasting outside in 90 degree temperatures at WDW or working in the AC when it is 102F outside.

But seriously, I hope at the folks in the Northeast were not hurt by the bad storms.

ETA: and for the DL folks, it is a sweet 73 with a forecast high of 81.

It's 93 here, but low humidity...I'm still inside in the AC, but I ventured out earlier and it was hot, but not sticky hot. I bet it's sticky hot in Orlando....I'd still rather be there than here though.

We keep saying that with our over 100 degree weather we've seen that we'd rather be in Disney. We're really hoping that while we are there next week we'll get rain here. We need it.

Ahh the cool 90 degree weather its 932pm and Im still at 98 degrees according to my thermometer outside 97 according to the local weather. Broke another record at 109 officially 112 unofficially. Stay cool everyone.

If you think it's cooler down here than in Ohio, you'd better think again. Our humidity is more oppressive so be careful what you wish for. Oh and those afternoon thunderstorms you hear so much about? It doesn't help the temps...it just makes the heat wet. You'll find out soon enough. ;)

::yes:: I'd rather deal with Ohio's 100 degrees than deal with Orlando when it is 90 or 92.

Ohio gets humid, but not humid like Orlando. And those afternoon thunderstorms are no help. It is just wetter, not cooler.

a meteorologist on the news yesterday said that the best places to visit this summer to avoid the extreme heat are the corners of the country: maine, upstate wash, the tip of southern california and FLORIDA!!! :goodvibes

It's been miserable here....I actually have a tree that is in danger of dying because of the high heat...bummer

Interesting! I'm sure being on the coast also has a lot to do with those locations being cooler.

There's a lot of temp. variation here in FL, actually. Down here on the Gulf Coast things generally seem cooler/breezier than Central FL. Or maybe it's that I'm not running around a theme park with thousands of other people all day! :lmao:

well if truth be told, he did specify "southern" florida, not central florida... :goodvibes
