It's official ... I own a very very small part of Disney!

We closed today on a very small DVC contract at the Beach Club villas.

Knowing that we own a little piece of Disney magic is pretty cool! DH is incredibly worried that I will become inflicted with add-on-itis. But hey, if I can go every other year to my favourite resort, I'm a happy gal.

Now just waiting for Disney to get me in the system so I can make my ressies for August.

We own at BLT, and haven't regretted the purchase for a minute. We have so much fun on every trip. And now that we've had a chance to sample other resorts (with Wilderness Lodge and Beach Club in the near future) it's only gotten better!

We bought into AKV last summer but won't be able to go there until 2013 ... but we're going to Aulani in Feb for our first DVC stay

I totally agree with you. We bought in 2009, 2010 was our first DVC trip, this year we went in January and purchased AP's, which we used for our trip in September. We are now booked again for January, which means we are getting in 3 trips with our AP. We will probably go back in September again, so win win for Disney

Just returned from the BCV yesterday. It is so nice to be able to walk to some of the best Epcot restaurants in less than 10 minutes. Enjoy and Congrats!

Psst!

Don't mean to be a spoilsport but you really don't own a piece of anything.

Disney Vacation Club is lumped into timeshares where you purchased "the right to use" as opposed to "real estate in fee simple".

After X years (I think it is 35) your DVC membership ends and you have to join again. (You may be offered a discount over brand new members.)

Or has DVC changed to fee simple in the past few years?
