It's never too late to join the WISH Biggest Loser 5 challenge

Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 5 challenge. This challenge will run from Friday April 18 until Friday May 23. Anyone with any amount of weight is welcome to join us as we work to develop healthy habits, have some fun together, and lose some weight. You do not have to be a previous WISH BL participant and you do not have to be a watcher of the NBC television show to join us. We never vote anyone out of our challenge. A participant that does not report a weight for 3 weeks is dropped from the challenge but will be welcomed back if they desire to return to the challenge.

This challenge is made possible by our gracious volunteer co-captains:

donac has offered to return as our thread minder. Each week we will have a new thread for us to fellowship, encourage, brag, and vent on. Participation on the weekly thread is optional but it is a wonderful way to get to know people, share ideas, and offer and receive encouragement. When this challenge concludes we will start a mega thread to run us through the summer. A Biggest Loser 6 challenge will start in the fall when the next season of NBC's The Biggest Loser television show starts.


Raenstoirm will be our challenge organizer. Optional weekly challenges will be posted on our BL thread. Participation in the the challenges is not required to be a part of our Biggest Loser Challenge. The challenges are designed to get us out of our comfort zone and help us to try something new or stretch a little farther. The highest scorer(s) each week will be able to wear the Weekly Challenge winner clippie until the next Weekly Challenge winner is named. Challenge points may be PMed or emailed to Raenstoirm. This information will be included with each challenge.


JOANNEL will be our weight keeper. Weigh ins will be on FRIDAY!!! You may PM your weight to Joanne or email to her at jlabbe@sterlingresorts.com. Your weight must be reported by Midnight each Friday. If you are late please report your weight as soon as possible. Joanne will include your information in her weekly tabulations if possible. Your weight is kept confidential. Joanne is the only person that will have that information. If she is unavailable one week another co-captain may take her place but your weight will never be shared in a detrimental way or posted for all to see.

If you do not like visiting your scale each week you are still welcome to join us. Just report an initial weight to Joanne on April 18 and report your final weight on May 23. Joanne will include you in the final tabulations to name the WISH Biggest Loser 5 superstars. In the meantime you are welcome to participate in challenges and post on our weekly thread. You can share your 'NSV's - 'Non scale victories' and offer or receive encouragement and support.


To help us prepare for Friday April 18 post here to commit to our WISH Biggest Loser 5 challenge. Then the most important part is to become an active participant by reporting your initial weight to Joanne by Friday April 18 and then report your weight each Friday until our challenge's conclusion on Friday May 23.

After 30 weeks of WISH Biggest Loser challenges I am finally getting in my groove. I am looking forward to this challenge and am grateful to the co-captains that will spend many countless hours making this fun for us.

If you have any questions please ask away. Remember to join us commit here and report your initial weight to Joanne by Friday April 18. I will work on a BL 5 FAQ sticky to replace the BL 4 sticky. Molli is working on a BL 5 clippie for all participants to attach to their signatures if they would like to. Stay tuned for that.

This challenge will only run 5 weeks, so join us. What have you got to lose besides some weight that is weighing you down anyway? You will get out of this challenge what you put into it. Make a commitment to YOU. It may not be easy but you can do it and you are worth it.

To join just PM or email your weight to JOANNEL. Then remember to report your weight each week to Joanne. That's all there is to it. For fun you can visit or post on the BL5 weekly thread or take part in the weekly challenge.

Hi I would like to join this challenge. I am going to start back to Weight Watchers tomrrow morning so this will be perfect for me!!

Me too, but I guess since I am the keeper this time you could have figured that out. I hope I can live up to the wonderful job brenda has done! Lets have a great 5 weeks.

Welcome aboard all the old and the new comers. Some weeks the thread goes crazy and some weeks it is really slow. Hopefully with a short span of time people's interest will be really high.

I am so in!!! We leave for DD excellent graduation trip Thursday the 17th so I will send my weigh in before I leave if that is OK??? I am so looking forward to this now that I have begun walking and biking and have found moderation so that I am not in constant pain from doing either! :goodvibes

I'm in! I get Lasik on 4/17, so the day after seems like a great time to start losing that last 15 pounds.
 
This is great! Count me in. I began working out and dieting 3 weeks ago and already feel better. I received my BL cookbook in the mail yesterday. I live among thin people that have never wondered how many calories are in the cheesecake they are about to eat. This will help me stay motivated. Thanks!
 
I'm in too! I love the idea of WI's to be Fridays because my WW WI's are on Wednesday so this will work out great!

It is easy to PM, all you do is click on the name of the person who posted, a menu comes up and select the option to "send a message...." then you will get another box with instructions, compose your message and submit. Voila and there you have it. Welcome !
 
Sign me up as well. I lost 16 lb last fall as part of a BL competition at our local YMCA. I've gained 2 back but want to lose 9 more before summer starts.
