I’ve been thinking of my beloved AKL friends lots , even if I seem to be always-so-busy
and could not find a free moment to talk to you lately !
Here are my best wishes and hopes that everyone is doing well , and that you all are having a wonderful Summer time !
Here in Italy we have had some rough days ( dear MIL has been unwell again, she is much better now ) ; we also have had some unexpected events , like many more working days for me and an un-usual (and very expensive) “house-maintenance “. But , Thanks to God , both Marco and I are doing well ; it looks like health troubles … have left our house
( Fingers crossed ! ).

And now : the extra-super news ! In 3 days we are leaving home – heading towards Hawai’i !!
How does this sound ?
I myself cannot believe it ! though I REALLY need to start packing !! ( I always pack the very last days !)
This trip is so meaningful for us : we celebrate our 35 wedding anniversary and my 60 birthday !
The “Hawai’ian adventure” had been planned long before our past health problems - and now we are really thrilled that WE ARE REALLY GOING !!

Please , send good wishes our way !

CIAO, Laura!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to hear that you and Marco and your parents are fine. What an amazing trip for your birthday/anniversary. I also celebrate both during July: 10th (I was 61) and 28th (39 years). Five years ago we made an unforgettable 2 week trip to California for our celebration. If you bring back half the memories that we did it will be fabulous. Have a wonderful time, my friend!!

Good Morning to everyone. It's 7:40 here, going to meet friends for a morning dog walk in a local park. In local paper yesterday was a blurp about a Bobcat sighting A little uncomfortable about letting my little one off leash now!
Park is off leash till 10am. I have a Yorkie-poo :good vibes Good thing one of the ladies has an Airdale- big! Maybe he'll keep cat away!

As someone asked about our itinerary , I'll share it (it is sort of ... mad trip ):
we fly to Paris , visit Disneyland for the day , fly the next morning to Los Angeles , then to Kahului ( Island of Maui ). While at Kaanapali Beach , we'll take a day trip to Molokai . The next week we'll fly to Kauai , staying at Poipu Beach, eventually we'll have our Wows renewal at Keauhou ( Island of Hawai'i) - there we have booked an "adventure" , to watch the lava flowing into the ocean at night ...

Talk to you, dear friends , when we come back home , think of us !!

I am staying at AKL in 23 days!!!!!!!!! We are just staying in a standard room so no view but this is my FIRST trip to Disney ever and to say I'm extremely excited would be an understatement.

I joined the last thread but just lurked. Now that I'm getting closer to my trip I may chime in more.

EDIT: I will be there August 19th - 25th for your roll call.
