I’ve been thinking of my beloved AKL friends lots , even if I seem to be always-so-busy
and could not find a free moment to talk to you lately !
Here are my best wishes and hopes that everyone is doing well , and that you all are having a wonderful Summer time !
Here in Italy we have had some rough days ( dear MIL has been unwell again, she is much better now ) ; we also have had some unexpected events , like many more working days for me and an un-usual (and very expensive) “house-maintenance “. But , Thanks to God , both Marco and I are doing well ; it looks like health troubles … have left our house
( Fingers crossed ! ).

And now : the extra-super news ! In 3 days we are leaving home – heading towards Hawai’i !!
How does this sound ?
I myself cannot believe it ! though I REALLY need to start packing !! ( I always pack the very last days !)
This trip is so meaningful for us : we celebrate our 35 wedding anniversary and my 60 birthday !
The “Hawai’ian adventure” had been planned long before our past health problems - and now we are really thrilled that WE ARE REALLY GOING !!

Please , send good wishes our way !

..how is your son?

Heart condition boy is still under observation by his pediatric cardiologist- but last year they found his aortia enlarging to an alarming rate(due to puberty)- but they feel he has a little ways to go yet before they replace- he is still able to do everything except lift weights- he has been running/golfing and skiing.

5 cases a year Strep boy got his tonsils out and is cured!

They are both doing great and entering HS in Sept
I am thinking Easter 2013 and then maybe 2 more trips before college
Built a new home and enjoying it

I sure do. I really want the Disneyland Paris Retro Satchel, but they are so much more expensive then they are in the USA. This would set me back $387. I think I hold fire until I get to WDW and get the Nylon Sketch Back Pack instead.

Afternoon J's & K's - well, yeah, I'm watching it RAIN --- AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhh good times!!! LOL -- other than that, gotta go buy DS's school uniforms, school starts in 2 weeks - I'm SOOOOO NOT ready - still trying to figure out if we can go see the little man............ it's pushing it with DS starting to school so soon and having to work around everyone's schedules!! I hope we can go though - if not a quick trip to the beach sounds like a plan!!!

...just wanted to share: my DSis and her DFam recently returned from a trip to Cali - a few days at DLR and a week or so at San Diego. Long story short, they travelled 3,000 miles just to NOT BE ABLE TO RIDE THE NEW CARS RIDE!!! It was broken for all three days while they were there. Plus, they didn't get to ride the 2 other ones either, since there was more than a 2-hour wait for each!
....okay, vent over.....

that stinks!!!!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Our plan for our November vacation was a split stay with 4 nights at Boardwalk and 5 nights at Old Key West. We were planning to fly back home the Monday after Thanksgiving and neither of us has to go back to work until the Monday after this. The only day during our stay that MVMCP is on is the Sunday. Graham has no interest in going and it has kind of become a tradition that we have a really nice meal on the last night. So I have been wondering if I should just add a night to our vacation. We have the points to do so. Unfortunately there are no studios available at OKW for that date. We do have enough points for a One Bedroom and I am quite curious about this, but I wonder if it is worth moving rooms again for one night. What do you guys think?

Sorry about all the rain. We had lots of stormy days last week -- now we're just hot and dry again!

I don't know my trip details yet, other than the dates and the State!

Can't believe school is so close already. Our County goes back August 6th. It's kind of nice to finally NOT have any children in the public school system! Tori's classes at KSU start on her birthday, August 17th.

About a 2 minute car ride, or a 5 minute bus ride (the DTD bus goes Jambo to Kidani) or a 10 minute leisurely walk!

Good morning! Well it's almost noon now in BC And the sun is shinning!

Sue isn't it strange how everyone else is well into their day by the time some of us can get on a computer.

I really do have jet lag the first couple of days I am at WDW. To make rope drop after coffee and something to eat at 8ish East Coast time my body is getting up at 3:00 AM pacific time.

Missouri this time. 9 days.

Wow...nine whole days in Missouri. Don't think you will be able to see much in that time.

Seriously hope you have a good trip and eat some good mid-western beef. I am from the mid-west. Sure do miss them...the beef....not the climate.

Grab any park bus at Kidani -- it will stop at Jambo before leaving the property! (The DTD bus goes to Jambo, then Kidani, before heading off property.)

Actually only 7 days -- travel in day/travel home day!

I usually live on salads when traveling for business. Sometimes don't get to eat dinner until 9 or 10pm -- a little late for a steak dinner! (but not too late for libations!! )
