It's my wedding Anniversary and no one has remembered - not even DH

Today is my 18th wedding anniversary and no one (except our 9yr old) has remembered. Dh did nightwork last night and I have not seen him as he did not arrive home before I left for work, I thought that he would have phoned me, but he has not as yet and it's 1.45 pm, not only that when I dropped my son at my parents house this morning so that they could take him to school for me they never said a word. I haven't even had a card from anyone - left DH at home for him before I left. I am getting really depressed now - will he remember my 40th birthday which is on Friday!!!!!

Happy Anniversary!!! Maybe your DH is just preparing a surprise for you?!?! Maybe it will be one big combined surprise for your anniversary and your 40th!!! Hope he remembers....keep your chin up and try to have a nice day!

Oh I do sympathise!!! You must be feeling really taken for granted but I'm sure you're not really and that everybody does appreciate and love you but people are sometimes just not aware enough of how important these things are! You're going to have to set up lots of reminders in future!!

Thanks for the kind messages - I did get a text message from DH at about 3.15 saying Happy Anniversary - Oh and when I got home he had rushed out a got a card - but no surprises! And my parents thought that it was tomorrow!

Doesn't bode to well for Friday though he's just told me that my birthdays Sat. and I will be away with DS at a swimming gala so he'll get me something next week too upset to correct him now may be later!

MEN....if you want something from them it's best just to come out and say it. There is no doubt that they are "from Mars" and we are "from Venus"! I've learned the hard way that you have to drop LOTS of hints, VERY BIG hints, like a ton of bricks!!!!! That's what I suggest so that you don't spend Friday upset like you did today. God love em!
