It's my turn now! One big family and a trip full of firsts (Jan 2016) *Update 10/19-Princess Day

Once we left Magic Kingdom we hopped in the line for the Wilderness Lodge boat which was pulling up a few minutes later. Since everyone else got off, we had the boat to ourselves and decided to sit in the front. It was nice enough out to be up there without freezing, but still cool enough to need our sweatshirts. We really enjoyed the views around the lake, and I made sure to point out the Poly bungalows (my dream place to stay). The one funny moment we had was when Ethan pointed out this....thing poking out of the water by the shore. It was super skinny and seemed to be bobbing its head in the water as it swam. My mom then shouted that it was a water snake! So we were all both grossed out and intrigued by it at the same time. We literally watched it swim for the last half of the boat ride, when all of a sudden it jumped out of the water and flew using its wings! Turns out it was a bird with a super skinny head/beak/whatever (we never figured it out because it was so fast) :rotfl:

We made it to the lodge just before noon and technically a half hour early to our reservation. Since we had some time to kill, we wandered the grounds and then inside the store. I thought the little bridge in the lobby was cute along with the fireplace! Eventually we just decided to check in early (12:15) since the restaurant was practically empty. One of the CM hostesses was from Michigan like us so we chatted with her for a few while they set up our table. I had heard stories about the restaurant and I was hoping that it would still be fun even though we were the only ones there. I was worried at first when our waiter showed up because he seemed like a very mellow/quiet/awkward guy so I wasn't sure what to expect, but he did a great job making things fun for us without being over the top. I think he was a perfect fit for my family.

Food wise...let me see. Macy ordered a shrimp appetizer. The boys and Emily all got the pulled pork and the rest of us got the bacon cheeseburgers. Tony, Devin and Macy enjoyed their endless shakes while Emily and Carter tried out the Florida tap water (and quickly changed to pop) :P The food was delicious! I was 1 for 1 with restaurants at that point :thumbsup2 I downed my drink really fast because I was so thirsty, so our first fun experience was watching our waiter bring me a giant mug of sprite and announcing to the restaurant to watch out for me in case I had to make a quick run to the bathroom:rotfl2: When we got our food I kept trying to get Devin to ask them for ketchup but he wouldn't budge, so I was really glad that when they offered, Tony asked for some. A different waitress came back with a giant tray full of ketchup containers and just kept unloading them at our table  When she was finally done, Emily just stared and was like "I didn't think she was actually going to leave them all on the table!" It was great! I have to say these other experiences were my favorite though:

1: One of the workers made multiple stops behind Macy to play with her Tinkerbell hair bow. He would just always make comments about how pretty it was, and her facial expressions when she felt him behind her were priceless. At times he would just walk by and look over her shoulder at her plate as he walked, but the final time was hysterical. He had snuck up behind her that time and she was totally oblivious. She was basically done eating and just playing with her food, and she said something really random like "this shrimp looks like a potato" and it was then that she noticed him and turned sooooo red and hung her face. The guy then asked if he could have her last shrimp, and she promptly looked at him and shoved it in her mouth whole. He was so upset he never came back :ssst:

2: Tony is a HUGE stickler for rules at our house. Always calling us "animals" when we don't pick up our stuff and always reminding us that food doesn't belong anywhere besides the table. Well, at the PERFECT moment, he knocked his fork off the table and when he went to pick it up, a passing waitress yelled "Sir, this is why we can't have nice things!" We all DIED :lmao: Our waiter then came back and said he had heard about the fork dilemma and Tony quickly declined it happening. It was priceless.

We finished lunch just after 1 but before we left the boys went down to the quick service restaurant and bought their souvenir mugs for the week. We then head back to the boat launch to take us back to Magic Kingdom. I realize I didn't take any pictures at lunch but I was just caught up in everything and honestly forgot I even had my phone at times. I did use it to check wait times at the park on our way back though. To my surprise, Space Mountain and It's A Small World were both down, which was inflating other wait times, and our next fastpass wasn't for another two hours so I wasn't sure what we were going to do. But, we made it work, and I will cover the next part of our park day in the next post :rolleyes2

Once we arrived back at Magic Kingdom it was right around 2 and the park was officially crazy. Space Mountain had been down during our lunch, and since it had just opened back up the wait was posted at 170 minutes :crazy2: Not only that, but every other ride we wanted to hit was at least 45min. Since our next fastpass wasn't until 3, we had a good hour to kill so we stopped for some pictures and then just hung out by the flagpole for a few trying to figure out what we wanted to do.

As we wandered around I noticed Tinkerbell's line was only at 15min, so I pitched that to the group. The guys were less than thrilled, and actually opted to part from us and go wait in the line for Pirates of the Caribbean (40min at the time). So while my mom, Macy and I went to wait in line for the meet and greet, the rest of the group headed for Adventureland. pirate: We told them we would meet up with them at the end of their ride and then find a spot for the parade. Tinkerbell was one character Macy was really excited about meeting. She attempted to Disneybound as her that day, wearing a white shirt and lime green shorts, along with the Tinkerbell hair bow she had borrowed from me. She also made her own "tinker jar" before the trip filled with lost things like cotton balls, paper clips and buttons that she wanted to show off. So us girls waited in line and it wasn't too bad, definitely worth the wait for the interaction we had. Tinkerbell was so sweet and when Macy showed her the tinker jar she got so excited! :goodvibesShe started showing it off to the photopass people and asking Macy all sorts of questions about where she found it and how long she had been collecting. I quickly learned after this first interaction that Macy was so shy!! She didn't know what to say to her, so the jar really helped keep the interaction going. Tinkerbell then put the jar on her little shelf to keep and Macy was so thrilled. It was really cute to witness ^_^

Once we were out, we started heading for Adventureland and began to notice the crowds lined up for the parade. Mom suggested finding a spot on Main Street and having the guys join us, but it was already pretty crowded and I knew we weren't going to be able to save enough space for everybody, so we kept going and prayed we could find a spot in Frontierland to watch it. At 2:45 the guys still weren't out, so we walked around towards Splash Mountain and found a spot to stand just off to the side where the parade starts. Thankfully there was a small delay getting the parade started, so the boys managed to get out and find us just in time! While we didn't have a front row view, I still managed to grab some great pictures, and it was over fairly quickly. It was now time for the Jungle Cruise!:boat:

This was my first time on this ride, and before this trip I never would have thought a fastpass was needed for it. I was very thankful I chose it! If I remember correctly the standby line was about 55min when we went over at 3:20. We were also the lucky ones chosen to hold the red card! For some reason I didn't know they handed them out in the fastpass lane. I thought the ride was cute, and one of the reasons I picked this one to go on is because Ethan and Carter LIVE for cheesy puns. I swear half the time they were the only ones laughing on the boat, so I knew I had chosen right :thumbsup2 They couldn't stop talking about it even after we got off, and kept repeating some of the jokes throughout the day. After that I told them we still had an hour until our next fastpass (Big Thunder) so the boys opted to go ride the train (Tony's idea. He hadn't stopped talking about it since we arrived back at the park). So we split up at this point. The boys (minus Austin) went to board the train in Frontierland and us ladies (plus Austin) went to look for a place to rest and to get drinks. During our wandering we passed the stepsisters and Macy freaked out! She told me before the trip that she really wanted to meet them, so she jumped in the end of the line. That's when one of the CMs announced that the stepsisters would be leaving soon and that Macy was in line for the Fairy Godmother. We decided to come back later, but vowed to see them before the trip was over! I'll break here because apparently I like to talk

All caught up so far. Love the Tinker jar! My kids are loud and boisterous but put them with a princess or Disney charachter and they are in awe and silent. :P I think I saw you and Austin in Epcot. Our trips overlapped slightly (Dec 29 - 6 Jan) We were in Mexico at the quick serve on January 6th and I was in line and couldn't get out to say hello. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip.

No way! It would have been nice to meet a fellow dis-member :) I didn't even think to look for other people because it was hard enough keeping our group together XD Here's to a virtual hello!

In other news, I'm not sure why my notifications aren't working to say you posted this, which is why it took me so long to reply. I have been absolutely SWAMPED with school work this semester which is a bummer because senior year is supposed to be easy!! On top of that, I've been working hard applying for jobs and scoping out places to move to after graduation....I haven't been on the Dis in forever! Since I finally have a free weekend off I think I'll try to update more :)

School and job hunting has taken over my life so I apologize for the insanely long delay :worship:

Continuing on with our Magic Kingdom day-

After we passed the stepsisters, we ended up popping in to Cosmic Rays/Starlight Cafe for some much needed drinks, and ended up ordering Macy some chicken tenders. It was nice to sit a relax for a little bit, but after that we head on over to use our fastpass for Big Thunder! This is in my top 3 favorite rides, and everyone seemed to enjoy it so that was fun. I can't remember the standby time when we went at 4:30, but we did have a short (~5min) wait in the fastpass line) After that, we were open and clueless on what to do next. Since my touring plans had pretty much been eliminated much earlier in the morning due to all the long wait times, we weren't sure what to do until the parade. Devin had mentioned wanting to ride Splash Mountain, and while it was originally on my list, I wasn't sure I wanted to get wet. I told him I would at least look and see if a 4th fastpass was available for it, and that's when Tony opted to ride the Riverboat around. Everyone except me, Macy and Austin followed his lead, so our pack decided to wander the area and take in the sights.

During our wandering, we stopped to see what fastpasses were still available. This was my first time grabbing a 4th fastpass, and the line moved quickly which was good. Surprisingly Splash Mountain was available from 6-7ish, but by then it was getting chilly and I decided I really didn't want to ride it (sorry Dev) :rolleyes1 Instead I grabbed everyone a Haunted Mansion fastpass for 8-9 so we could ride it after fireworks. We then met up with my mom and Emily, since they got off the boat early and decided to do some shopping as well. We wandered around the Christmas store and the Emporium waiting for the rest of the crew to stake our spot out for the Electrical Parade. It was also at this time that Austin's mom was arriving. Since they live close and we don't get to see them often, they opted to meet us at the park for the parade and fireworks. So our group of 9 turned into a group of 14 :grouphug: We ended up finding a nice almost-front-row spot outside Casey's Corner on Main Street that fit our giant party right around 6. This was actually nice though because we were able to catch up with his family, grab some snacks/dinner and reflect on the day. Mom, Austin and Devin actually all ended up buying the same sweatshirt from the Emporium, so they also took this time to get some nice pictures :cutie:

<Note the incredibly rare Devin smile

I have to say, the new turrets were stunning! They also did a really nice job with the hub. Eventually I will watch the parade and fireworks from there, but every trip so far has had me standing back on Main Street. That's okay though, still gives me a great view of the parade! MSEP amazes me every time. I absolutely love it. Festival of Fantasy was cool, but MSEP holds a special place in my heart. I panicked at first because right around 7 they made an announcement throughout the park about the parade and I thought it was going to be cancelled, but thankfully it was just delayed. I think it finally started about 7:15 so not too bad. Such a fun time! :tink:

After that was Celebrate the Magic. THIS SHOW MAKES ME CRY EVERY SINGLE TIME! It is such a beautiful display, and the music literally brings me to tears. This really makes the Disney magic hit home. A trip to Disney will never be complete without it. Eventually I'll get that nice front row view of it ;)
Anyway, after that was the famous Wishes fireworks. This was actually quite funny because if you read in my PTR, my mom HATES fireworks. So much that I literally think they give her mini heart-attacks. So to my surprise, she actually stayed for these, but not without precautions. She had brought her good in-ear headphones, covered her ears, and braced herself for every boom (not going to lie, it was a little humorous to watch) :ssst: But she did it! We also got to see Tinkerbell fly down, something I had missed previous years.

After Wishes, we split off from Austin's family to go use our Haunted Mansion fastpasses, and decided to leave the park right after. Originally the park was set to close at 9 anyway, but earlier in the day they had announced the extension until 10. At that point though.....we were all exhausted. I knew there weren't many fastpasses left and it was still pretty busy, so we just decided to call it a night. Thankfully since we left at 9, the crowds weren't bad and we only had to wait 5 minutes for our bus! Day one is finally complete! :D Thanks for being patient!:littleangel:

Love your trip report! And love it when everyone has an amazing visit like your family is having so far :) Sometimes it's hard knowing how new guests will enjoy Disney but your family seems to be having a great time!

I died guys. That's the only logical explanation to why I dropped off the face of the disboards. I was so pumped to write this trip report and share my experiences with everyone and I just completely dropped it. My life has been insane. So much has happened. I graduated college, took a trip out to California (and Disneyland), moved states away from family (IL to VA), got a new (full-time) job.....okay it's still no excuse :charac2: Seriously though I've always had a hard time keeping blogs/journals, and now apparently trip reports. I also think since I got a double dose of my Disney fix by going to both parks within 5 months, I didn't need to fill the empty void of missing Disney by stalking these boards and writing/planning another trip. But guess what...

....we're planning another trip  But not before I sit down and finish this darn trip report! I don't care that it's been 9 months. I don't care if no one reads. Because gosh darnit I want to have a complete record of the biggest (possibly the best) Disney trip I will ever take! So please excuse the out of date trip report that will now start showing up on the front page of the forum. Also excuse any gaps of memory I have over the exact things we did every day. Thankfully I kept a rough journal of what we did every day while we were there, but I may not remember EVERYTHING :confused3

Day Three: Epcot Adventures

Picking up where I left off almost 8 MONTHS AGO (my bad) our third day brought us over to Epcot. I was very excited for this since I had never been, so I was a little bummed to wake up to rain. Macy said she wanted us to wake her up early so she could go to rope drop with us, but I didn’t want to over exhaust her already so it was just Austin and I. We made it for our first actual rope drop at 8:30am (thankfully it had stopped raining) and even though the rides weren’t quite open yet, I got to wander and do some shopping :goodvibes We also had the chance to meet Pluto on the way in! Once the rides were finally open we decided to go over to Mission Space since Test Track was busy and I wanted to judge the ride before others rode it. We rode green and while I thought the design was unique, I get motion sickness easily so it wasn’t my favorite. After that we wandered over to ride Living with the Land and Figment (cute but the ending blast scared me) with no wait, and then went to meet the trio (Goofy, Mickey, Minnie) while we waited for the rest of the family to show up.

Once everyone else showed up around 11 we absolutely HAD to make a stop and see Baymax! The line wasn’t too bad and we maybe waited 15min, so glad he was there! Only Austin and I, Macy, my mom and Tony went (the boys and Emily wandered I guess?) Once we were done we head over to Nemo to use our fastpass which I realized wasn’t really needed (kinda guess that ahead of time). But we used it anyway. Cute little ride :fish: We wandered the Seas after and got to view a scuba diving demonstration which was a fun treat. Originally we planned on seeing Turtle Talk with Crush but our fastpass window for Spaceship Earth was near its end so we head out for that. My absolute favorite part of that ride was when you reach the top and see the stars and then get to play the game (sadly I do not remember any detail of what my world results were). After that we had a small wait until our Test Track fastpass at 1:15 so everyone decided to just wait in line for Mission Space (green). I sat this one out and since I was hungry, decided to go for some popcorn. The wait wasn’t terrible, and shortly after we got to ride Test Track! I loved designing the car (even though ours was last on most things) and I really enjoyed the ride. After riding Soarin out in California, I have to say I like Test Track better. So thrilling! :drive: I’ll cover lunch and the World Showcase in the next post.

Why thank you! I'm back on the boards now to research for my next trip and have a few posts pre-typed so I should have a handful of updates this weekend! :D

I'm following! Don't give up--you can finish!

Love the report! Your family is so cute--we have a big family trip coming up in a year so I'm interested in what you are posting!

Thanks! :D The big group wasn't too bad since most of us were old enough to split off and do whatever. I just made sure not to plan every day for everybody and only "forced" certain things XD was a little worried starting the report again but thank goodness I found my trip journal!

Ah World Showcase. The thing I was most looking forward to at Epcot. The sights/foods/shops sounded amazing. And yet sadly this was the one part of our trip where things got tricky. To be honest at that point in the day I was not feeling the greatest. With the muggy/rainy weather, I had a headache and felt tired so I wasn’t in the best mood (I get irritated easily when I feel crummy). SO I’m excited that we are planning a return trip to Epcot next year because this didn’t live up to expectations. Anyway, onto the events. After Test Track we were all pretty hungry and decided to kick off the World Showcase in Mexico by having lunch at La Cantina de San Angel. Couldn’t tell you what anyone else got, but Austin and I split churros popcorn:: Maybe I packed a sandwich? I can’t imagine I solely at junk food for lunch but maybe I did? Anyway since we just had a snack while everyone else had a full lunch, we got done early and left to explore the inside of the pyramid. After that they still weren’t done, and mom wanted to meet Donald, so I figured this would be a good time to split up and tackle the showcase separately. *Side story with Donald. He’s my mom’s best friend’s favorite character, and it was her birthday, so my mom wanted a picture with Donald holding a Happy Birthday sign to send to her friend. She wrote it on a napkin, but I guess Donald wasn’t allowed to hold it? So that held them up.* :donald:

After we split up, I made sure to get lots of pictures and pop into the shops, but I was always feeling rushed. Then around Germany, Macy decided she wanted to hang with us. No problem. We took her with us as everyone else went ahead. We stopped in Italy for some Gelato (yum) and took our sweet time in Japan (loved the shops). This was also when Macy got to splurge on her big souvenir and do Pick-a-Pearl! This was SO exciting and fun to watch, and I made sure to film it since no one else was there. There weren’t a lot of clams left, but it didn’t matter because she was sprinkled with pixie dust! She ended up picking a 8mm grey pearl! The lady made a huge show about how rare it was and Macy was so excited :goodvibes She picked out a simple but beautiful cage for it and then we were on our way. Once we reached France I got a call from Devin asking where we were and a groan when I told him. Everyone else was done already and they were waiting for me because they didn’t know what to do (Um. Ride rides? Shop? Wander? Were they actually lost without my planning skills they had previously mocked?) I told him sorry but we were taking our sweet time (okay sort of, we still had a few countries to cover before our dinner reservation at 7). Macy picked up a super cute Eiffel Tower with Stitch figurine and we didn’t take as much time in the last couple countries, but we still saw a lot. Definitely excited to go back though. I’m not sure if shorter or longer posts are better, but I’m just going to end this section with some pictures and then cover the rest of the night in the last Epcot post. :cool1:

Once we finally met up with the rest of the group around 5, we all decided to go ride Living with the Land since we had a little time to kill before dinner and there was no wait. We also took the rest of the family to ride Figment again with no wait. Kudos to Epcot for having low wait times all day, it was great. :hippie: After that we met up with Austin’s family for our dinner reservation at Garden Grill! It was nice to be able to spend more time with them again and I have to say I think this meal was the best reviewed of our trip. Everybody absolutely LOVED it. I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t eat much all day because I got to sample everything and more! Seriously everything was hot/fresh and cooked to perfection. It’s really hard to pick my favorites, but I just loved the turkey, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. Plus the dessert was to die for! :lovestrucI’m honestly surprised I still had room. We also had the characters come to our table three separate times, the interaction was great! However due to the food being so good and being able to catch up with Austin's family.....I didn't take pictures. Sorry! Needless to say we were all completely stuffed and tired after that, but I wasn't leaving yet! Austin opted to take his brothers and Macy on Test Track again while I hung back to chat with family.

After dinner, my family (minus Macy) departed while I stayed behind with Austin and his family. We planned to meet the group after Test Track to watch Illuminations but there was a hold up and getting through the line took a lot longer than expected. As I sat waiting, I figured I would at least try to get to a spot where I could see some of the show, and found myself on one of the pathways leading to Mexico. I semi-watched but really couldn’t see anything so that was a bummer, however when the show ended and I turned around the go back, they wouldn’t let me through! :scared: Paths were closed and I had to follow traffic. And to top it off, my cell was dead. So I had NO idea where anyone was and everyone was being shuffled out of the park. So that was fun. I wandered forever, talked to security, went into stores and then finally found a cast member that allowed me to use their phone (turns out they were waiting outside the store entrance, go figure). :badpc: It was a stressful end of the day, and I was honestly pretty disappointed I didn’t get to see Illuminations, but overall it was a fun first experience at Epcot (and now I know what to plan for next time). Thank goodness tomorrow as an easier day because I was starting to get worn out.

The Halfway Mark-Hollywood Studios

Thursday marked the halfway point of our trip, and also the day we could all finally sleep in! The past two days had definitely worn me out so I was a little excited to get the extra sleep. :faint: This was also an optional park day for (most) people, and I think they were glad about it. We somehow all managed to get up and ready in time to catch the bus to Magic Kingdom, then monorail over to the Polynesian for our 10:15 breakfast reservation. The wait was a little long and we got seated around 10:45, but we were brought food pretty quickly. Ohana will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first Disney restaurant I experienced, and it has Lilo & Stitch! For not being big breakfast people, my mom and Tony ate a lot (we all did). Even though it was just the basic breakfast foods, I got another good tally on my dining picks. Current score: 3/3 :) The characters came around to our table twice and Macy got to be right up front with Lilo during the parade so that was fun to watch. We left breakfast right around 12 and went our separate ways from there. Austin and I took the bus to Hollywood Studios while everyone else went back to enjoy some R&R at the resort. Mom, Tony and Macy would be joining us later, so I got to spend some quality time with Austin

Once we got to the park we head right for Star Tours to use our 12:30 fastpass. The queue line was really cool, but again I get motion sickness easily so I was bummed to add that ride to the list of ones that make my head spin  Since I wanted to take it easy after that and we still had some time before our next fastpass, we decided to wander. As we rounded the corner we saw Sorcerer Mickey starting got meet! This is Austin's absolute favorite so we definitely stood in the short line. I let Austin meet him alone first, and Mickey got really excited when Austin showed him his Sorcerer Mickey magic bandits! :wizard: After that we walked through One Man's Dream and then over to Star Wars launch bay where I met my first Jawa! (Shameful note: I've only ever seen the new Star Wars, couldn't sit through the old ones even though I know the story) I didn't have anything to trade which was sad, but it was fun to watch him/her interact with everyone. We also did the Disney Visa meet and greet with Darth Vader because, why not? :darth: The launch bay was also cool even for being new to the universe.

After that we finally got to use our fastpasses for Toy Story Mania.....only to have the ride break down while we were in line :badpc: We waited it out though, took about 20min to get on the ride. I liked it much better than Buzz only because I can actually see where I'm aiming, but man is the shooting aspect tiring! Also the 3D glasses weren't the greatest after coming from Star Tours, so we decided to take it easy after that. It was right about 3, and my mom text me after that to let us know they were on our way, so we stopped for a drink in a souvenir BB8 cup and did some shopping while we waited. That's when our next dusting of pixie dust happened :tink:

As we waited by the front gate for my family, Austin told me he wasn't feeling the greatest and was going to head back once they got here. I understood because I wasn't feeling 100% myself either, but I just couldn't pass up park time and wanted to go around the park with Macy. As for the pixie dust moment, that happened next. Characterpalooza! :hyper: We were sitting there waiting when all of a sudden, Genie, Chip, Dale, Meeko, and the Evil Queen all came out from one of the side doors and just stood around. I of course had to go over and get my pictures taken, then frantically started texting my mom saying they needed to get here ASAP! As I was waiting for them the cast member said they would wait a few more minutes but eventually they had to go but he secretly told me what time they would be back out (mind you all this happened in a span of about 10min). I was thankful for that and told him to expect us back then. It was so nice and private, not many people noticed them. At one point I saw Chip playing with a leaf from the bush behind him, and when I went up for my picture he gave it to me along with a kiss and I put the leaf in my autograph book. :lovestruc Cute little interaction. Of course less than 2 minutes after they left my family showed up, but I promised we would come back. After the craziness we said goodbye to Austin (who went back to take a nap) and then we left for the 4pm Little Mermaid show. My mom actually remembered this show from when she took me back in (1997?) so it was a cute little flashback for her and new to the rest of us. After that Macy and I rushed back to Characterpalooza and she finally got to meet the characters. Her interaction with the Queen was great because she had a pin of her and the Queen just loved it. Definitely worth coming back for.

After Characterpalooza we split up again to see different shows. Tony went to watch Indiana Jones while us girls went to see Beauty and the Beast. I really enjoyed it and it was nice to have a little break. Once we met back up it was time for the ride we had all been waiting for: Tower of Terror :scared1: I just love the ride, Macy kept talking about it leading up to the trip, and my mom just wanted to experience it again. So, we used our fastpass and rode. Right when we got loaded Tony started semi-freaking out because he couldn't find anything to hang onto so that was funny. The drop video really caught his fear :rotfl: Macy was a trooper the whole time, but when we got off she did seem a little frozen with fear (oops). She said it wasn't scary, just not what she expected (she was quiet for a little bit after that but recovered nicely). She said she was glad she rode it though, and it was nothing compared to her reaction after Everest (more on that later) :confused3 The nice part was we were basically done, all we had left was Fantasmic and the Star Wars fireworks. Mom and Tony said they had had enough and were skipping Fantasmic just as Austin text me that he was on his way back for it. As we took our seats for the show, my mom text me saying they hopped in line for Rock n Roller Coaster. Definitely NOT the ride I would have recommended for them but oh well :rotfl2: (She told me later they should have stopped at ToT. Also her picture turned out hilarious) Austin met up with us right before the show started and we were immersed in magic. I seriously love that show so much, it's up there with being one of my favorite things not to miss. Once it was over we did what everyone else in the theatre did and made our way to Hollywood Blvd to get a good space to view the fireworks, and we definitely did. I really loved this show, but in a different way than I do Wishes so I can't really compare. Once the fireworks ended, so did our day. While it was only 8:30 it seemed much later, and we had another busy morning ahead. During this time was also when the resort group (Carter, Ethan, Emily, Devin) head out for dinner at T-Rex. Kinda bummed I missed it but I was beat at that point. They said the food/atmosphere was cool but it was very loud, so I'll give myself a half point for that one :P

A Princess Day-Magic Kingdom

Friday marked our last full day at Disney (cue tears) :guilty: It also brought about a lot of rain and exhaustion. Before the trip I decided to dedicate one full day for Macy. This was where we could meet all the characters (because she was already doubting their authenticity), ride the smaller/girly rides, and really just spend the day together. This is also where I got to surprise her with lunch in the castle (although I think I was more excited than she was) So if you haven't guessed it already, we went back to Magic Kingdom. Devin was technically supposed to come with us, and I had fastpasses lined up for him and Austin, but he bailed so just Austin came with us. Friday also marked our first EMH morning that we finally got to take advantage of, so the three of us made it to the park promptly at 8. There was a steady drizzle so we made sure to walk quickly, but it helped with the crowds. Since we missed it the first day, we headed straight for Space Mountain! This is Austin's favorite and Macy seemed to like it as well. We walked right on and from there headed to see the 8:30 Enchanted Tales with Belle show. Austin was picked to play a suit of armor and Macy was picked to play Philippe! I just love the Lumiere :cutie:

Once the show was over, we went to ride the Little Mermaid and then met Ariel, both with very short waits. :fish: Ariel is Macy's favorite, so she made sure to wear her shell necklace that day to show off. Ariel admired it and talked about it with her which made for a cute interaction. More characters awaited us after that, so we went over to finally meet Aladdin and Jasmine! (My favorite) :hyper: I let Macy take her pictures first then joined her. I was wearing my cute magic carpet hair bow that day and Aladdin freaked out over it which was awesome :thumbsup2 After that we went over to ride Pirates with our fastpasses. I'm such a fan of this franchise and a big fan of the ride (and no we did not get wet). What we did get wet from was the rain that had decided to pick up while we were on the ride. Our next fastpass was to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel, so we bolted over there and got to stay dry for a bit. Nothing too crazy happened at this meet and greet, but our Rapunzel was fun :) When we were done we were disappointed to see that the rain was REALLY coming down now, so we grabbed a table right outside fairytale hall under the balcony and waited....
