It's MY Birthday!!!(Sooo, I wanna eat 'n eat,...until I die.) COMPLETED

Im in and all caught up! Great report and I love the hidden Mickeys, my DD8 is a big fan of finding them so we will look for those on our next trip in Nov! Looking forward to reading more.

Well lets see. My Wife's name is Melodie...most people call her Mel...I call her Odie. Most often people mis-spell her name with the "y" vs. the "ie".

However my Mom calls her a variation of names:
Melanie, Melandy, Meldee, Peanut Butter, etc...

is that a good version of Peanut butter or the DDC version???? not so sure I would want to-be called the one version lol

Sorry I am late for the ride but the line was long to get in here.

We get up around 10:30am and get ready. We have Reservations at CRT tonight...so we goto the Pepper Market for "Brunch." I take a Picture of my favorite CSR Hidden Mickey on the way into El Centro...
IMG_0067.jpg

Tiny always gets the Philly Cheese Steak...Boy got a Burger...Mel and I both got the Chicken Fajitas.

From there we stop by "Mel's Place" and well I buy 2 more Key chains...Minnie and the Cheshire Cat. PEANUT BUTTER. Mel Loves Minnie though. :thumbsup2
BTW...here's a link to see what these look like... Vinylmation Jr2

So from there...we are off to DTD...takes about 10 minutes from the CSR due to multiple red lights. First stop...was Plant Hollywood...Mel had bought a t-shirt in the PH store in Hollywood Studios...and needed to exchange it...after that quick drop-off/pick-up I go to the DTD Marketplace...drop of Mel and the Boys at the World od Disney Store...and go to find a Parking place. I luck up and find a family leaving on the front row. :woohoo:

Make it to the WoD and the family is nowhere to be seen...such a shame...guess I'll have to wander around all by myself and look at stuff I'm interested in. :rolleyes1

In the Map Room (aka Guys Stuff) there are hidden Mickey's, Goofy's, and Donald's.
IMG_0071.jpg

I find a Yellow T-shirt with Stitch in a Hammock...it's an XL...last one...I go and try it on...:sad2: I'm too round.

I goto the information desk and the guy looks it up...and says they have it in the Main Street Emporium...but nothing here in a 2X. Cool I'm going to the MK tonight. :woohoo: I get myself a nice red Mickey Polo...gotta look nice for the Princesses tonight. :thumbsup2

Finally find the Family...and they are done too. So time for the Lego Store for Tiny. He likes Legos...but mianly the Star Wars stuff...he sees one set he likes...only $149.99...nope...he settles for a Kit Fisto (aka the Jamacan Jedi) Keychain Mini Figure. With a pair of pliers after we buy it he has just Kit Fisto the non-keychain..

Then we make our way over to Team Mickey...Tiny finds a Football T-Shirt with Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Then onto Once Upon a Toy. Hidden Mickey...can't believe I've Missed these before.
IMG_0070.jpg

Then onto the Chritmas Store (forget the name as i always call it the Christmas Store)...another Hidden Mickey.
IMG_0068.jpg

I guess I have forgotten to mention that it is hotter than 40 #e!!s outside...so Mel parks it in one of the chairs in the store...underneath the AC...I look around and then I tell her I'm going across the way to look at Goofy's Candy Co.

They have some tasty looking Icee type drinks there...so I call up Mel and tell her the flavors...Tiny wants Banana, boy says he's coming over, and Mel went with Pina Colada, I got Orange...boy makes it and grabs some Edy's Dibs. 4 Snacks Creds later we head back to the Christ-x store. After we down our refreshments we head over to Pooh's Corner...then we are done.

Resort time. So we head to the MK and this time we get to park in Pluto...guess we will have to ride the tram tonight. Peanut Butter...but at least our parking spot was only 3rd from the end. :thumbsup2

It's clouding up like it's going to be a "gully-washer." So our first stop is the Poly. I finally deside to get a Red Disney hat I had been eyeing...sa the Rain had started and I had left my hat in the room. foun this hidden Mickey too...
IMG_0072.jpg

We Head back up to the Monorail and while waiting I spot this in the water below...pretty proud of that Hidden Mickey.
IMG_0073.jpg

We skip the Grand...and head to the Contemporary. Mel and Boy check out the stores...I head over to the bridge connecting to Bay Lake Towers.
IMG_0074.jpg

IMG_0075.jpg

Told you it was raining now. Well we are about an hour and a half before our reservations at the Castle...so we head to the MK via the Monorail. The Station...Poly...Grand...here there are some snooty people that get into our car and look at us like "Peasant...give us thy seats"...I'm looking at the other side of our compartment...empty...Man Law be "Peanut Buttered"...my butt is glued.

We get off at the MK and wait for a break in the rain. I figure our best bet is to snake thru the Emporium. I stop and find my t-shirt with Stitch...have it sent to the resort. then out the backside cross that little cutover from Adventureland entrance to the Entrance of Liberty Square...then up the little path to the back of the Castle. I check-in at about 20 minutes...and they say...you are a little early...can you come back in about 10 minutes. ummm...I'm like the web says to show up 30 minutes early...:confused3

So I wait...overhear another guy get told the same thing. :sad2:

10 minutes later I check-in again...shortly after we are ushered into the room where you get you picture with Cinderella. and wait some more. We looked like a bunch of drowned rats in our picture...which I have not scanned in because they are just BAD.

Then we get to wait some more...I take a few pictures cause I'm bored.
IMG_0079.jpg

The Mice...
IMG_0081.jpg

Some Big Girls that had just been to the BBB... :rolleyes1 I'm not saying anything...but I just had to take a picture...
IMG_0082.jpg

We get called just in time to get this picture form the stairs...
IMG_0083.jpg

So here we are in the Castle...I thought you'd be Bigger?
sorry no food porn...I just don't think to take a picture of my food...unless it's something very special...and then you don't know that unless you've eaten it....I guess you wouldn't like the post processed view...so I promise no pictures of that either.

continued...

Man Law be "Peanut Buttered"...my butt is glued.

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Very nice update! That is a LOT of rain! Fortunately, have not had to play the rain game while at WDW yet. My time is coming... I feel it.

:thumbsup2 snooty, empty car, not movin myself either!!!:thumbsup2 we buy about 20 of those 89 cent rain ponchos from walmart, there folded up real small. dw will toss them in her bag thing a mabob or i put them in my pocket.if we use them once, we toss them. we got stuck one time in the rain. we had to squish to our adr..:lmao: i never bother to take a pic of food either. most of the time the meal never had a chance.:lmao: great update nate.:thumbsup2

So Iguess it would be wrong of me to have a Dis Dad's Club Beauty Contest...but then it would also be wrong of me to use thes pictures to blackmail my sons. I'm opposed to neither. :thumbsup2

Is Snow White the "Fairest of Them All" ???
IMG_0084.jpg

Does Sleeping Beauty enter your dreams???
IMG_0085.jpg

Maybe Ariel will make you want to go under the Sea???
IMG_0086.jpg

Does Belle's Beauty bring out the Beast in you???
IMG_0087.jpg

Personally...here's how I rank them...having met them...While Snow White IS probably the Fairest...but I'd have to go with Belle...followed by Ariel (pretty chatty for a girl who lost her voice)...then Snow...and finally Sleeping Beauty.

The Meal was OK...and I liked what I had...the whole experience IS NOT worth the 2 Credits each it cost...so those of you with DD's...IF you want just want dining with the Princesses...I'd goto one of the places that just cost 1 Credit...but If you just want the experience of being in the Castle...then by all means go to the Castle.

So finished there we come out to an almost empty Fantasyland...the Rain had stopped...but there was like no one...and it's only 8:25...we have until 10pm to do whatever we want...Peter Pan is a walk-on...never in any trip has Peter pan been a walk-on...so we do it about 3 times. Pooh is so empty...we do it twice without having to get out of our honey pot...then one more time.

From here...boy wants to do Space Mountain again...Mel and Tiny do not...so we split-up with plans to meet at PotC.

Boy and I do SM twice...no wait...then we go and do Buzz Lightyear...he kicks my butt. Then we head back thru Fantasyland and do the Haunted Mansion...then around thru the cutover from Frontier to Adventure...we wait and wait...and no Mel/Tiny...so we run into PotC for the last boat. Never shut down a ride before. Once i exit I see I have 2 missed calls...Mel and tiny had ridden PotC and were almost to the front of the park. Boy and I grab a Dole Whip and head on to the entrance. We chill out a little...and wait for the line to the monorail to thin out.

We get back to the room and I'm last as usual at about 1am.

Tomorrow...EPCOT and my first DIS Meet.

nate, the big orange robot on the left in the first room on buzz, hit the target on the inside of his hand. 100k a hit. :thumbsup2 the family still hasnt fiqured it out how i max the thing out all the time.:lmao: disdad secret!:lmao:

Aw, man! So much for going to Disney World next year. :confused3 :lmao::lmao:

Yeah, I heard it much better from the People Mover. Maybe the speakers are all down close to the track. I couldn't hear it at all on the ride itself.

Must have been drowned out by you screaming like a little girl. :lmao::lmao:

Just posted a few more...

is that a good version of Peanut butter or the DDC version???? not so sure I would want to-be called the one version lol

Sorry I am late for the ride but the line was long to get in here.
She has never actully said anything like Peanut Butter...but not to say she hasn't thought it...or said it.

You were supposed to use the DDC VIP entrance...just to the left of the exit. :sad2:

Found it! Phineas and Ferb. (thanks for the hints)
:thumbsup2 Still an early Movie/Cartoon Quote...and a new one in the last update.

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Very nice update! That is a LOT of rain! Fortunately, have not had to play the rain game while at WDW yet. My time is coming... I feel it.

Well I attribute the rain for the light crowd after dinner...so rainat WDW is not really a bad thing.

Pro move with the Ponchos...we had some from our last trip...but didn't do us much good in the hotel room.

:thumbsup2 Still an early Movie/Cartoon Quote...and a new one in the last update.

:lmao: Low blow! Low blow! And how did you know?

The title/first post is Disney's Fun and Fancy Free (I had to look it up). No clue on the new one. I'm not as good on the cartoons.

Anyway, I'm jealous that you got an empty MK to yourselves. We felt like the crowds were picking up during our week. Maybe early September is better.

And Aurora looks a little psycho in the picture. Maybe the whole pink/blue thing is making her start to crack?

:lmao: Low blow! Low blow! And how did you know?

You have that look.

The title/first post is Disney's Fun and Fancy Free (I had to look it up). No clue on the new one. I'm not as good on the cartoons.

Good...I was humming that tune (as Goofy of course) when I was stuffing myself at...a place I haven't written about yet.

The other quote is from a Patrick Swayeze movie (or however you spell his name). And no it's not Dirty Dancing...never saw that movie...ever...really...never-ever. :rolleyes1

Anyway, I'm jealous that you got an empty MK to yourselves. We felt like the crowds were picking up during our week. Maybe early September is better.

We got more done in that hour and a half than we did the whole day prior...it was a great night. :wizard:

And Aurora looks a little psycho in the picture. Maybe the whole pink/blue thing is making her start to crack?
Well she did make the bottom of my list for a reason...and I couldn't tell if that was a nervous twitch or if she was winking at me. :confused3

Great hidden Mickeys!!!! I never noticed the Tonka truck on the log making a HM before! Nor have I ever seen the HM in the fountain at the Poly!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Man that rain was coming down! We braved that rain in March. UGH!

Those princesses at CRT seem to be a little old to me, but the pic you took looking down on them with Cinderella looks cool.

Man you guys had the whole park to yourself after CRT! What a score!!!!!:banana:

What/where is that? Is it a cabinet handle?

Ahh...quality alone time at Disney. :thumbsup2

I goto the information desk and the guy looks it up...and says they have it in the Main Street Emporium...
Would have been cooler if he checked the computer and said "We're all out here, but we have one left at our booth at the the Sanford Flea Market":rotfl2::rotfl2:

Then onto Once Upon a Toy. Hidden Mickey...can't believe I've Missed these before.
Good one! I don't know if I would ever have seen that one. Granted, I'm not nearly the hunter that you are. :worship:

we do it twice without having to get out of our honey pot...then one more time.

Great hidden Mickeys!!!! I never noticed the Tonka truck on the log making a HM before! Nor have I ever seen the HM in the fountain at the Poly!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

The Tonkas were making the back-up beeping sound...and I looked up and I was like son of a peanut butter...how have I missed these before. The poly one has not made the Hidden Mickey website...so it must be new...I've submitted it.

Man that rain was coming down! We braved that rain in March. UGH!
I attribute this rain to my great night.

Those princesses at CRT seem to be a little old to me, but the pic you took looking down on them with Cinderella looks cool.
They may have been having a "special" celebration...I don't know...while I found it funny...I'm NOT making fun of them...one never knows...but I had to take a picture.

Man you guys had the whole park to yourself after CRT! What a score!!!!!:banana:

Best night ever.

What/where is that? Is it a cabinet handle?

As you approch the entrance to El Centro...it's on the Door to the Left...at the top.

Ahh...quality alone time at Disney. :thumbsup2
No I missed walking around with my family...really...I did. :rolleyes1

Would have been cooler if he checked the computer and said "We're all out here, but we have one left at our booth at the the Sanford Flea Market":rotfl2::rotfl2:

The Holy Grail of Theme Park Experiences! Returning to loading zone of a ride, looking at the ride operator and saying "Run it again!":worship:

Really...stop.

Man, you had a great night!

Yes I did.

Oh my...I don't even know what to say about those "women" dressed up from BBB. :confused3

We've never eaten at the castle. With two boys, they never wanted to go eat with "princesses." Thank God!

I love all your hidden Mickey shots. I never noticed the one at El Centro in all of our stays (have to add that to the list to look for next trip).

Great that you had MK to yourself and got to ride so many things numerous times.

Oh my...I don't even know what to say about those "women" dressed up from BBB. :confused3
Guess every girl deserves to feel like a Princess???

We've never eaten at the castle. With two boys, they never wanted to go eat with "princesses." Thank God!
Mine didn't "want" to eat with Princesses...they were very curious to see what was in there...me too for that fact...glad I got to go...equally glad I don't have to go back. :thumbsup2

I love all your hidden Mickey shots. I never noticed the one at El Centro in all of our stays (have to add that to the list to look for next trip).
Remember...big door on the left of the Main entrance into El Centro...look up.

Great that you had MK to yourself and got to ride so many things numerous times.
Very rare moment...the walk-on Peter Pan was the jaw dropper for me ...had to snicker at the people coming in the Fast Pass line... :lmao:

Warning please put on your sunglasses :cool2: for today...

WE SET FIRE TO THE SUN!!!

I wake up around 10am (maybe a little before). Well there went my plans to get to the early EMH at Epcot. I get dressed then wake up the family...then step out side the room... for some reason in the room I had no cell phone service...outside full strength. ping I have a text from stopher1 stating that he and his daughter are at Epcot and was wanting to know where I was and when we could meet.. I text him back and tell him we had slept in but will be at Epcot later...but were currently at our resort...and we would be easy to spot...as we had on Those Shirts!!! (I'm certain he knew exactly what I was talking about.)

Then I call my mom...I have not talked to the folks since my Birthday while I was at the DFM.

Anyway I finish talking to the folks and go inside and the rest of the crew is about ready. They are hungry so we need to make a stop at the Pepper Market before we go onto Epcot.

So while waiting on the family to return from getting their food I call Christopher and leave a voice mail telling him we were way behind schedule and I would text him when we got to Epcot.

We finish Brunch again...and drive to Epcot...That's a right...another right and an immediate left and boom the Epcot parking toll. >5 minutes Hav I mentioned how much I love the location of the CSR. Soo very central to everything.

We get thru the bag check an into the Park at about noon...as is tradition for me i collect tickets and make a rapid stroll to the Land and get FP's for Soarin' while Mel and the Boy's make their way to Mouse Gears.

I check my Phone and I have a VM from Christopher saying not to worry he and his daughter are having a wonderful time here at Epcot. I then Text him and let him know we are here...finally...Tag he's it.

I get FP's for Soarin' for 2pm ish...not bad considering it is 12-something now.:confused3 Standby line had a 60 minute wait.

So I make my way back to Mouse Gears...again no family to be seen...such a shame i had to look at stuff all by myself again.

Find a few Hidden Mickeys...
IMG_0090.jpg

IMG_0092.jpg

Find the Family...with the faint hint of melting plastic hanging in the air. So we decide to check out Test Track. got a message from Christopher...they are over at Figment. Well the Boy's are big enough now that we opt for the Single Rider line...Tiny and Mel actualy get in the same car one in front one in back...same happens to me and boy.

We get out in time for me to obtain a new FP so I get some for Test Track so we can all get to ride together...however it's still not quite time for our Soarin's FP...so we take a poll...the Boys want to goto Base 21. What's Base 21 you say. Well it is a suite for SIEMENS and it's employees and guest, located behind Spacship Earth located above Project Tomorrow.

So I dig out my PIN for access to the suite. and we make our way. If you enter Project Tomorrow on the Innoventions West side the door is just to the Left...labeled as SIEMENS. Punch in my code and viola we are granted access. There a sliding glass door that is Opaque when you enter...once you enter your code...the "Smart" Glass becomes clear...then the door slides open...cool stuff.

I didn't take any new pictures this time as there was a meeting in progress and we had only limited access this visit... but we did sit in the lounge and have a refreshing cold Pibb Xtra, Coke, and Sprite.

Here are some Pictures from my lst visit so you get the feel of how the place looks.

The Magic Mirror.
IMG_0212.jpg

Oversized Touch screen with Picture videos etc with info about Siemens. Currently showing a picture I uploaded of the Family.
IMG_0215.jpg

So we don't stay very long as there's not much to see while the Meeting is going on...I personaly like to stand and look out the Windows of Meeting Room 1 and people watch.

So when we are done the Receptionist takes us to this door
IMG_0216.jpg
and we ride Spaceship Earth.

From there...I find out Christopher and Daughter have made their way to the World Showcase for dinner with some Princesses. Oh well...we head to ride Soarin'...we get there and the line is only 20 minutes...so we keep our FP's and get into Standby. Love love love Soarin'

Then when we get out...apparently everyone in the park must have found out about the 20 minute wait...cause people are just flocking in...good thing we still have those FP's. So we do Soarin' again.

So we come out...now what??? We decide to take the Living with the Land boat ride. Glad we did...Hidden Mickey Gold mine!!!

In the Line maze...
IMG_0093.jpg

I like the Gators...
IMG_0094.jpg

A Sea Mouse...
IMG_0095.jpg

Test Tube Mouse...
IMG_0096.jpg

From there we leave the Land...I have a text from Christopher that he and his Daughter are at Test Track...again we are on opposite sides...so I go with the Family to see the most terrifing ride in Epcot...
IMG_0097.jpg

I text Christpoher back saying where are you now...he's text back pretty quick...Spaceship Earth...I knew he and Daughter were going to the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day...so I had to break away from the family to go meet him...at least to shake hands...and put a "kick me" sign on his back...as he is my Nemisis. So DW and Boys go see Captain EO...gee hate I missed out on that. :rolleyes1

I go into Project Tomorrow and wait by the exit of Spaceship Earth. I wait for about 5 minutes...then I see this guy staring at me with a look of "Is that Nate?" on his face...then his says "Nate?" I'm like "Stopher!!!" We chat for a few minutes. He's a really nice guy for a Nemisis. He's a member of the DVC and he hands me some cards with some instant Fast Passes on it that I can use on any attraction. Cool. Before we depart we have to get photographic evidence.
IMG_0098.jpg

Nice meeting you Christopher and your Daughter...wish it had been longer.

So I go off to find out where the fam is...they are just now leaving Capt EO...so i ask if they can come over to Innoventions west so we can get our Disney Visa Photopas Picture taken...and we do...
Photopass1.jpg

Photopass2.jpg

Then we goto the Seas... get inside just as a Storm Hits...

Here's Tiny inside Bruce...and the Mad Hatter???
IMG_0100.jpg

Hidden Mickey...
IMG_0101.jpg

continued...

From the Seas we head back to Test Track to use the FP's...
Photopass3.jpg

Its getting close to our dinner reservations at the Garden Grill...but for curiosity sake I have to go check out Le Celliar...but on the way I stop for this photo...

Photopass4.jpg

the sun was in Tiny's Eyes...oh well so much for a great family shot. bummer.

So I make it to Le Celliar...you know I missed a walk-up table by just a few steps. Son of a Peanut Butter...oh well...I kinda was looking forward to the Garden Grill anyway...so back to the Land.

So again...no food porn...they serve Family Style here...we had Roast Beef...very similar to what we had the CRT...but this had better seasonings on the outside "crust". Turkey...yummy...and Mahi Mahi...it was good too...but we did not ask for refills of that. The Potatoes were excellent also.

So while I did not have food porn I do have Characters...

No Tiny is not doing a Chipmunk impression...his mouth was full... :lmao:

IMG_0106.jpg

Hidden Mickey...
IMG_0116.jpg

Boy gets some Pictures and we ride the boat about 3 times...from ther we hit Norway...We were not the first to pass that way...nor would we be the last...

Viking wearing Mickey Ears...
IMG_0120.jpg

From there we find us a spot to watch Illuminations.

The Show Starts out alright...and the ending is good too...but I feel they spend far too much time showing pictures on the Planet Earth in th eMiddle of the Lake.

I get a good night time shot of Spaceship Earth on the way out...
IMG_0111.jpg

Back to the CSR...and Bed...for we plan to hit the Animal Kingdom early tomorrow. :woohoo:

Great updates, Nate! I love that I finally saw an almost "complete" smile on Boy's face. :goodvibes

It cracks me up that every time you arrive somewhere and have entered the park, you head off in one direction and the rest of the family hits the biggest store at that park. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Glad you got to meet Stopher and his daughter. DIS meets are so much fun. And how nice to give you Fast Passes.

I didn't do Captain EO either...let Mark go alone. I had no desire to see it whatsoever.
