It's my Birthday & I Celebrated! Lots of photos, food and fun! Updated 9/23

Hey, I'll take ONE update (but will also take more if you can spare them ;))! That's so exciting that one of the Divas was able to get you the MTTMM vouchers. I'm crossing my fingers that for one of my upcoming trips I will be lucky enough to receive them again but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen. If I want to do it desperately enough I suppose I can pay the rumored $10 to buy those perks seperately.

I was so happy to get them! Theresa was talking about her trip on FB and I had made a comment. I had asked if she got a good deal or something as I was still debating a package or just booking separately. I said the only reason I needed the package was for the MTTMM tickets and she offered to send me the ones she had received in her package!

Great updates on your TR and photos.

The ones that I like the most is the FNSV through the port holes.

Thank You. I thought those turned out pretty good!

Oh what great fun!! I really enjoyed your pictures. One of my favorite things about Disneyland is how well they theme everything. It makes it all so much fun and it always seems as though I see something new.

I love how well everything is themed as well! The details are amazing!

Keep 'em coming Paula!

Trying! Getting sleepy!
Don't forget... no updates tomorrow :guilty:

That was an awesome update! Love the Toon Town Morning Madness photos. Looks like so much fun. I wonder if I get tickets to something like that with the 7 day tickets we are getting from Airmiles. Hmmmm....

Sounds like a GREAT morning!

From what I have heard you only get the vouchers if you book a package that includes hotel and park tickets... Could be wrong though! :confused3

I love the ToonTown Morning Madness Ceremony!!! Last summer we stood in the gazebo which was dead center & I was elevated above people on the ground so I was able to get a ton of pics!!! I love that Mayor....he cracks me up....we've seen him a couple times & only once was it someone different...just wasn't the same!

Loving all the pics!!

Holy Momma! We are already on Part 5 of June 8th and it's only like 8:40 in the morning!

As I finished off we rode Roger Rabbit Spin and then took some more pictures around Toon Town.

By this fountain there was a character doing a M&G outside Goofy's House. (I can't remember if it was Goofy or Pluto?!?) So there was a line forming but it wasn't that long. Kim wanted to get my picture of my sitting in front of the fountain and just as she was about to snap the picture people stepped into line right in the line of the camera and wouldn't step out of the way even when we said excuse me! :confused3 We never did get that picture!

As you can tell we were leaving Toon Town. We wanted to get some more pictures but I had something else in mind so I told Kim we could come back another time. Unfortunately we never did get back there again while Kim was there so she was unable to see Mickey or Minnie's Houses... I feel bad for rushing us out!

We did stop in the hub for a few pictures!

After the pictures we decided to grab a quick something to eat as we hadn't had much that morning. I had the Orange and I don't think Kim had had anything. So to Main Street Bakery we went! We were going to get a Cinnamon role to split but at the last minute changed our minds. WE decided to get a Chocolate Croissant.
ry%3D400

And Apple Spice Muffin(I think that was the flavor?!)
ry%3D400

We also both got Hot Teas with which to burn our mouths on!!

The improptu breakfast was delicious and just enough to hold us over till a bit later!

Now it was probably about 9:20am and I wanted to get to DCA before it opened to everyone else. What I didn't know in advance was that the GCH entrance opened at 9am not 9:30 am and if I was going in at 9:30am I could have just gone through the front. Oh well. So we walked out of DL towards DtD into GCH and back through baggage claim into DCA! B y the time we did all that the general puplic was being allowed in the front gates!

Aw, I love the pictures from Toon Town.
Great update, as always! :)

You snuck in on me between updates!

I thought about going in the Gazebo but just as I was about to someone else had taken that spot.

Thank You!!

Ooooh, I want that chocolate croissant. Like ... now. :rotfl: Great update Paula!

It was yummy!! Both items were good!!

I know some people are trying to avoid seeing posts and pictures of the Little Mermaid so if that is you and you are waiting feel free to skip this update!!!

For those of you who have ridden The Little Mermaid already or are interested in seeing pictures you may continue!!

When we entered DCA I knew we had to head to the right for The Little Mermaid but I had no idea if there was going to be a rope anywhere or what? AS it turned out the rope was farther up towards the bridge leading to Paradise Pier so the area in front of the Little Mermaid was all open. I saw a bunch of people trying to get in line and the CM's asking if they were staying on property. If they were not staying On Property than they had to wait to the left while those with key cards were being let in. We showed our key cards and in we went!

I REALLY enjoyed The Little Mermaid ride. I find it really cute! It seems to go by really fast but I think it was well done! Definitely one I will ride every trip!

I will admit: yours are the first LMAUA photos I've taken a peek at! I'm not really trying to save the experience except that I wont watch any video since photos don't always do something justice. I'm so excited for it in September :woohoo: I do hear the "it's a little fast" comments a lot though.

I can't wait to ride The Little Mermaid!! By the way, those are some good pictures.

Loving your TR so far. Love the little stories of your missions like going through the "special gate" to get into DCA and realizing you didn't get in any earlier than at the other gates. And I am going to have to check out that bakery on our trip. The food there looks so good! :)

Yeah for taking a peek! I actually have a TON more photos of the Little Mermaid from another ride on it which you will see later on in the TR.

It's not so much that you FEEL like it is moving fast but more the fact that I thought it was going to be a longer ride.

Those little stories are the part that make the trip! I wish I had a better memory as there would be even more cute stories but my memory bites at times!

Well I was going to do a trip report update this morning but I just got bad news on my car so I am not in the mood right now. Sorry.

Paula, I am sorry to hear about your car. I didn't comment on it on the chat thread but that stinks.

I love your pictures from the Little Mermaid. Especially Ursala!! I love her!!

Sorry for the lack of trip report yesterday! I was majorly stressed out!

But.. LETS CONTINUE!!!

After we excited from The Little Mermaid we were still under 10am so we joined the mass of people waiting at the rope to head to Paradise Pier.

At 10am the rope was dropped and we were off!!

Yes! We were heading to Toy Story Mania!!!

Our wait consisted of the walk through the que and then just a few minutes!

ry%3D400

Kim did pretty darn good for her first time!

From Toy Story it was of course over to California Screamin since it was right there!!

We had some major sun glare on the displays!
ry%3D400

From California Screamin' we headed to Mickey's Fun Wheel. The non-swinging side of course!

On the Fun Wheel we were seated with a Mom and her two boys. One was probably 3ish and the other was probably 7 or so. The 7 year old was FREAKING out! He was crying and screaming that he wanted OUT! I felt so bad for him. The mom said he had been on it before with no problem but this time it was apparently not a good fit for him!

After we finally got off the Fun Wheel we were walking the Pier and I saw the Face Painters were setting up! I had wanted to get our faces painted so I was excited!

We thought we had set it so we would both get ours painted at the same time but it ended up the same person did both of ours.

Pics of Kim getting hers done!

Kim's complete!
ry%3D400

Mine!
ry%3D400

Next up we were walking around the Pier and the topic of Food came up again. If you remember we had only had our pastries so it was time for a little more! I offered to Kim the options of the Pacific Wharf area or Corn Dogs! WE went with the Corn Dogs from Corn Dog Castle! A first for me as well as for Kim!

The LINE for Corn Dog Castle didn't look all that long but it took us probably 20 minutes to get up to the front to order!

We both got a regular corn dog with apples and then I also wanted to try the Cheese Dog. I had NO clue what the Cheese Dog was but thought it sounded interesting!

Corn Dog.
ry%3D400

Cheese Dog
ry%3D400

Yup! They look the same!

We really enjoyed our Corn Dogs! The Cheese dog was interesting, It was pretty much a large cheese stick dipped and fried. The end of the cheese dog was kinda melty but the inside was still pretty firm. I ended up eating the cheese with the apples instead of straight off the stick!

I would get a Corn Dog Again. Cheese Dog. Not so much!

Oh... Are you wondering where the Minnie Ears came from!?!? I forgot to include it in one of the other updates!

After riding Tower of Terror on June 7th we stopped in the Greetings from California store before heading back over to DL! I knew I wanted the Minnie Black Sparkly ones but Kim was undecided. She finally decided on the Red Sparkly ones with the flower which I think looked so cute on her!!

More of June 8th to come!!!

I love your face paintings! And that corn dog looks so delicious. The cheese dog sounds like a bit much for me though! And, as a matter of fact, I was wondering where those ears came from. They suddenly showed up. I love them :goodvibes I love getting Minnie ears. I'm glad they have a few different styles now, and not just the plain ones. I almost bought those sparkly ones like you have on during my last trip. There were also some pink ones that I really liked.

I always hear how wonderful the corn dogs are, but the pics don't always look that appetizing.....it also looks like a ton of breading......so we haven't tried one yet. My concern is the batter being raw or being burnt.....2 things I'm not a fan of.

You're so brave going up on Mickey's Wheel of Death.... :lmao: I'd be like the 7 yr old......totally freaking out & crying!! I love the pics from your ride on it......that would be the only reason I'd even attempt riding it....but I think I'll stay on the ground & enjoy others pics from up there!!!

Excellent pictures! Maybe I'll get my face painted with my DD when we go on our trip. That would be a fun experience. :goodvibes I'm not a big hot dog fan, but that corndog looks yummy.

Aw, I love the face paintings Paula! Maybe I'll ahve to do that sometime in the enar future. The last time I had that done was the last time I went to a Sharks home opener. Although i don't think a Shark painted on my face would fit in Disneyland very much unless I was riding the Nemo Subs.
