With the opening of the first Disney brand hotel -- the Disney Ambassador Hotel -- at the Tokyo Disney Resort, it would certainly make sense for Disney Vacation Club to add it to the Disney Collection. Even though the hotel is not owned by Disney, I'm sure a business relationship could be negotiated.
The only negative factor might be that the number of DVC members who visit the Tokyo Disney Resort is probably quite small in comparison to the number of DVC members who visit Disneyland Paris or the Disneyland Resort in California.
Tokyo Disneyland is a wonderful theme park! In the past nine months, I've been to Disney parks in Anaheim, Lake Buena Vista, Tokyo, and Paris. Tokyo Disneyland just might be the best of them all. While at Tokyo Disneyland, I visited the preview center for Tokyo DisneySea; what a great park it will be! With two great theme parks and the new Ikspiari shopping and entertainment complex -- not to mention the fascinating city of Tokyo itself -- the Tokyo Disney Resort may become a more and more attractive destination for DVC members. By the way, Tokyo is an easy city to get around in if you speak English -- much easier than getting around in Paris if you don't speak French.
It would be smart for DVC to add the Disney Ambassador Hotel to the Disney Collection.
