I finished Marvel at Sea Day! All of it sounded amazing!!

Oh and look a Dole Whip Float! I didn't have one then as I was too full and then I forgot about it the rest of the cruise. From what I hear it is not the same as the ones in the parks though.

Wonder if it is just the disney bubble effect?

Great necklace and I love it against the black lace!

To start I had the tuna tartar with avocado puree. It was nice and light although a bit under-seasoned.

We had a nice relaxing time in the Rainforest Room and I also showered in the locker rooms there too.
We noticed the Marvel bed runner when we returned to the stateroom. It is yours to keep too!

That is pretty cool that you got to keep the runner! People would probably steal them, anyway.

Apparently superhero food at midnight means lots of sausage-like things.
And fruit.

I was wondering the same thing. Did someone order too much sausage?!

I grew up watching the Sullivan Entertainment mini series with Megan Follows...anyone watched those? I was obsessed as a teen, to put it mildly.

YES!!!! I loved that. Have you seen the Netflix version? It was ok, kind of took the best of the best episodes. Nothing beats that one.

Funny story...so one of the buses to arrive was a Disney excursion. And I see this couple staring at me as we were walking around the house taking pictures...then the guy comes up to me and says in almost a whisper "...Loki??" Hahaha I was dying. I told them yes I was and they mentioned they liked my costume, and we had a good laugh, it was really sweet and funny.

So funny! Can you image if they weren't right? that would have been a strange question to ask.

There was a little cafe where you can get coffee and stuff and I settled for a raspberry cordial!

Our next stop was Cavendish Beach. We drove up and Don brought out a cooler of waters and a tupperware of homemade muffins which his wife makes each morning for his tour group. OMG these were awesome muffins!!! It was a lovely break in the morning and much appreciated. We enjoyed the muffins sitting on the bench enjoying the views then walked around to take pictures. It was windy but OMG just gorgeous!!

How adorable is he with his secret spots, lunch hookup, and especially his wife's muffins. I love it!! I was/am a huge reader and tv watcher but somehow I missed out on Anne of Green Gables. I've certainly heard of it but just didn't get into it. Now I'm feeling like I missed out. But I know I'd freak out if I went anywhere Little House on the Prairie related so I imagine it felt something like that - so glad you got to see it. Awesome for booking an Alaska cruise!! Oh and good to know we'll be neighbors in both Golden Oak and PEI if we ever each win the lottery! That revolving house is something else! I can't even imagine how it works or the maintenance costs on something like that!

It was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend one of Duncan Island tours if you make it out there! Everyone there is so so so nice and sweet. It would be nice to spend summers there!

He did have the funniest expression...probably like a *** is going on, haha. The wig is so funny. I'm sure the older folks have fun with it.

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful visit on PEI, and that you got some Cows Ice Cream while you were there - it is THE BEST.

It is amazing and is seriously one of the prettiest places I've been to. I love the quaint small town vibe. LOVED Cows Ice cream! It's totally worth it!

Ha! Andy's dad used to buy a 6 pack of beer just for me when we came to visit, so I guess I am in the same catagory. Also, that's how they started to suspect that I was pregnant both times.

I think all of them were pretty intimidating just because I've never met any of them. Black Widow was intimidating because she had a very serious gaze, and she was so pretty too. Captain America was really charming. Starlord, Gamora and Hawkeye was really down to earth and fun. I just found out that the CMs who play Black Widow and Hawkeye are actually married IRL. I found their instagram and they are so cute.
Black Panther was the coolest though, he totally sounded like his character in the movies. Iron Man was funny because he couldnt' really move much and he had voice recording of Tony Stark. I loved meeting them all!!

You would have LOVED the seafood there. Imagine the best seafood you've had in DC then make it 10 times better just because it's so FRESH! It was a simply prepared to let their flavors shine. It was fantastic.

PEI is sooooo beautiful. It's definitely a place I want to return to. It would be amazing during the summer, with all the seafood shacks still open so I can really eat all the seafood I want!
Our tour guide Don is awesome. I highly recommend Duncan Island Tours!
I never got into LHOTP but I did watch a few episodes when I was younger and I can totally understand it's appeal.
I don't know how much a revolving house can be but apparently the owner imported some special mechanical device from Europe to build the house.

In the summer time at Whistler, there's lots of hikes you can go on, shop in the Village, take the peak to peak gondola etc. If you're planning on renting a car then it makes a good day trip. But if you were not going to rent a car, I would not rent one just for Whistler.

On PEI, we took the official excursion and saw many of the same places, with a lot more people. Lunch at PEI Preserve Co. was really good (carrot ginger soup, lobster croissant) but I think three tour buses arrived at once. Super crowded.
Once the tour ended, we had a second lunch at a little place right next to the cruise ship dock. Steamers Boat House had a mussels special (bowl of mussels and a pint of local beer). We each had one so for $20 total I had the best mussels Ever and may never order them in the States again. My wife preferred the mussels we had the next day in Sydney, but that's a story for another day.

And you're right about the mussels. Nothing really comes close to what we had that day. I also think PEI had some of the best lobster ever. I was in Boston this past weekend and had lobster at the famous Neptune Oyster which everyone raves about - we waited 2 hours for a table and I thought their lobster was nowhere near as good as the one we had in PEI. Still good though.

Day 4 Part 3: Halloween on the High Seas!

We returned to our stateroom after a beautiful day at PEI - it was still gorgeous out so we sat on our verandah for a bit enjoying the scenery with a glass of wine.

Then we headed to the Rainforest room for a bit where I took a lovely power nap on the loungers and use the scrubby stuff again. It feels really good to have such smooth skin!
We lounged around a bit before we got ready for that evening's festivities: Halloween on the High Seas!

Steve and I were:

Gaston and Belle!

I love Belle and Gaston is Steve's favorite character. Says he's not a villain, just misunderstood.

We just bought some costumes online, noting fancy. Mine was held up by velcro.

There was trick or treating going on in the main Atrium. We don't really eat that much candy but we got some just for fun.

There were some good costumes that night, and everyone was really into Halloween.

We watched the Halloween show which was cute and we took pictures with some of the characters. At first we caught some of the show from the bottom floor but then we realized some characters would be meeting upstairs so we moved upstairs and got the top-down view of the show. It was nice because I got to have a birds-eye view of all the awesome costumes.

While I was waiting on line, I got a picture with another guest who was dressed as Ariel. I have the same dress which I was going to wear to MNSSHP the next week so I was excited! I don't have the red wig though.

I loved all the Halloween decor. BTW, my "book" is actually a clutch bag so I had my phone and camera in it, LOL.

Tonight's rotational dinner was in Lumiere's again. I thought it was very fitting considering we were dressed as Belle and Gaston. I really liked tonight's menu.

The theme tonight is very French. I started with the escargot and french onion soup, both of which are really good!

Steve got the chilled lobster and shrimp appetizer as well as his own order of escargots. You can never have too much of this garlicky buttery goodness!

As an entree I got the salmon. It was pretty good, but I honestly liked the appetizers the best.

Steve got rack of lamb with an herb crust. He thought it was very good.

I got my favorite dessert on the cruise: The Grand Marnier souffle!

They crack open the souffle and pour the Creme Anglaise sauce in it.

I proclaimed to everyone this was my favorite dessert, and then I took a bite of it and realized they had not burned off all the alcohol in the sauce and you could really taste the Gran Marnier! Hahaha. #lush. I don't think Steve's parents got this dessert otherwise they would really think I'm a lush! Otherwise it was still really good and I didn't mind the extra kick, LOL.

After dinner, we didn't have much to do and we saw the line for Minnie wasn't too long so we got on it.

Look: I spy a Dr. Jones!

I thought this was the best costume of the night. He must get the "you look like Sean Connery" line all the time. LOL

It was a long and amazing day, so happy I was able to visit AoGG Heritage Park and all the beautiful things we saw and ate on the island, Truly a magical place that we'd love to return to.
