Animal Kingdom Finally DTD and MNSSHP

I was a bit anxious today that we had so much planned for one day and a late night I didnt want to over do it.

We were up about 8 this morning up showered and dressed we left just after 9 last year animal kingdom was by far my favourite park with Everest the safari and nemo the musical how could it not

Well where else to start but the safari the que was only 10 minutes and how could we refuse. Well the que was probably about 3 minutes and thats because we had to walk through the que area.

If you are at AK early I would deff suggest that you go early this was by far the best safari we have had

we got to get right up close to this guy

We had a walk round to Everst but it seemed alot of people had the same idea it was very busy by everest i didnt even look at the que time I couldnt get close enough to see lol

We walked round to dinoland and rode dinasour I love that ride still makes me jump when we get our picture taken

When we come out it was very busy ah where had every one come from

We went to Yak and Yeti for lunch we really liked the counter service last year and had quiet high hopes for the sit down meal It was ok I would rush back to it but we had been spoilt the last two nights.

Dave had a sea food curry for desert a trio of things (cant remember what though) and I had honey chicken with the nicest piece of mango pie ever.

I dont know if any one thats reading goes for meals with no children like we do but I always wonder why they sit us near children the restuarant was nearly empty and they sat near all the kids I think we would have enjoyed alot more if we could have talked to each other with out kids screaming.

After our meal we left AK it was so crowded and we just had enough we had to wait quiet a while for a bus whilst some man was smoking right near us yuck nothing against somking just I dont like it near me

We got dropped of at the first stop and had a walk round the grounds Dave is a greenkeeper here in the UK and was very interested in seeing the course it was closed for their anual sprose up lol as i call it so we had a quick sneak round and walked over to the driving range. We also went in the shop and Dave was having a chat with the lady that worked in there about the green keepers there on the course Dave works there are four of them and they start at 6 there the course we saw Lake Buena Vista they have 13 and start at 4 :scared1:

We had some purchases to pick up from the gift shop we walked over to the room when we saw this guy out side our block

he was right by the doors at one point :rotfl:

we took some pics of the block with the glorious sun shining

I've just been catching up on your trip report - it's a good read :thumbsup2

Sounds like you both had a wonderful time and made the most of everything you did :goodvibes

I love MNSSHP and was a little sad we didn't do it this year, but I'm hoping to do MVMCP next December :cool1:

So what did you think to SSR? Which other resorts have you stayed at? We enjoyed our time there, it was very convenient for DTD and we had no problems with the buses. We stayed in the Grandstand area (that picture of the pool area you posted was right outside our building), it was good for the buses 1st pick-up/drop-off but a little farther to walk to DTD.

Looking forward to reading more, I hope you still have a few days left :cloud9:

great photos of the animals.

Thank I cant believe how close they were to us

What a lovely day. MNSSHP seems such fun.

It really is I love MNSSHP its my third and I think it gets better and better

Lovely day and pretty photo of you when thinking of all the candy. Thanks for posting.:goodvibes

My kids are still plowing through their halloween candy and we have been back 2 weeks !

Lovey day. :) Thanks for posting. :)

I always get so sad when it's getting to the end of the holiday, I always feel that the saddest part of the whole holiday is when I hear the little audio on the monorail for the last time, I always get a bit teary and wonder when I am going to hear it again!

Another fab day with awesome photos:thumbsup2

We were the same as you where photos were concerned at MNSSHP.
We never took as many as I normally do, and the only video we got was of the Boo to You parade. Thank god for photopass.
A great day though and some great pics to go with it
