Day 7 June 25
We arrived at MK at rope drop. For some reason the park wasn't too busy this morning and by lunch time we had ridden all of Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Splash Mountain, and Thunder Mountain Railroad. We had lunch at Cosmic Rays. Your typical burgers and fries. The fixin bar is a plus though. DH and I had the bacon double cheese burger with fries. DS had the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken - with Mashed Potatoes and green beans. Dessert was carrot cake. We like Cosmic Ray's. Sorry we didn't take pics at lunch.
We give it a 3 out of 5 sweet teas.
Dinner tonight was at Le Cellier in Epcot. Our reservation was @ 8pm. We checked in at about 7:45. We were informed that they were running a little behind. That turned out to be a understatement. We weren't seated until 8:45. Our waitress was very inattentive and not too concerned about our needs. She was more concerned with the table next to us with a party of 8 and spending big $$ on wine (I think they ordered 3 bottles). I felt like we were more of a nuisance than anything.
Anyway, we all ordered a cup of the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. This along with the french onion soup from France is undoubtedly the best on property.
We LOVE the pretzel bread they serve.
We all ordered the New York Strip Steak - topped with bercy butter and served with Gruyere Yukon Gold Potato Gratin. The steak was tender and very good. The steak was huge and neither off us could finish all of it. None of us cared for the potatoes though.
DH and DS had the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake - finished with Honey-Thyme Anglaise and a Chocolate-Vanilla Walnut Sauce. They loved it!
I had the Maple Creme Brulee. This is good but not the best Creme Brulee on property.
We give this visit to Le Cellier 3 sweet teas out of 5 mainly due to the service.
