It's heartbreaking being in the pediatric unit in the hospital. I mean, who wants to see 1 year olds and 2 year olds being transferred in cribs in the halls, or being carried by their mom or dad and hooked up to a bunch of wires? It makes me cry.

There is a little boy here who has cancer, and they found it when he was 5 months old. 5 months old! Geez louise. But the positive thing is that they won't remember this. Still, they're just waaaaay to young to be stuck in a hospital for something like this.

Anyone else have a soft spot for little kids?

I'm personally not good with kids. They annoy me, but if I see a kid going through something as awful as being stuck in a hospital with tons of wires stuck into them over Christmas, it will get to me.
I don't like to see anyone suffer. I can't even imagine what those parents are going through, not even sure if their 5 month old baby is even going to be okay..

I love all kids
and it breaks my heart seeing them in hospitals exspecially little ones on christmas this isnt the way christmas should be spent

Kids are so sweet. It's heartbreaking when they have to go through something so difficult at such a young age. I was in the hospital once when I was about 11, I was getting my adenoids out or something. There was this little girl, Maggie, who was 5 years old, in the recovery room next to me. She was adorable! We found out that she had just been diagnosed with Diabetes, and was doing the finger pricks for the first time. Apparently she hated any kind of shot, so every time she had to get the prick, she cried hysterically. Her mother was losing it, I swear. She kept saying through her tears how much sicker Maggie would get if she didn't do it. I felt so bad for both of them. I'm sure Maggie's much better now, but the shock of being told that your daughter has Diabetes at such a young age must have scared the living heck out of that mom. I can't imagine how it feels for parents who don't know if their child's going to get better or not. :sad2:

I absolutely love little kids. They're adorable and bring a smile to my face. :)

I hate seeing little kids in the hospital.
A couple years ago I made this little organization called Caring Coins. For 2 years we had little containers in every classroom in my elementary school. We collected all these coins and cashed them at the bank. We had over $100 in 2 years! From kids in kindergarden through 6th grade. It was awesome. We bought little bears to deliver personally to the elderly in the hospital and then donated the rest of the money to the maternity part of the hospital.
We went one day to visit some of the babies in the NICU. There was this really little boy, Tyler, he was like 5 months old. Hooked up to every kind of wire in the world. He was just adorable and it broke my heart to see him hurt.

It's really a shame at that's why I want to do so much to help little kids :(

I hate children. I am uncomfortable around them, and they annoy me to pieces.

But, I can't watch someone suffer. Anyone. I can't hear people cry. I can't hear people in pain. I don't care who it is, I can't watch it. Even children.

My heart breaks for their parents though. Children are wonderfully ignorant. They don't know they're sick, especially if they're very young. The parents though, they don't get that blind ignorance. they're hurting worse than the kids are.

I can't stand to watch people suffer, especially little kids. It puts that really bad feeling in my stomach and I feel like throwing up and/or crying.

I love little kids!
I hate to even see them fall!!
My prayers will be with the ones that are sick this Christmas season. :sad1:  :santa:

I get really really sad when I see kids in the hopsital.
I want to go up to them and hug them and tell them to hang on.
