I'm on page 2! Woot woot!!!
It's the little things in life that excite me...
My family has a twisted sense of humor, as I'm sure you've already realized. I had to threaten my baby brother with a pair of golf cleats up a certain orifice to get him to join us for a movie...he asked if I could at least lube them up first. I said "No, and just for that, they're going up sideways!"
He relented...
Welcome to the happy bubble of insanity that is my PTR!
Mmmmmmmm...barbeque. My parents used to own a barbeque joint...their sauce was legen...wait for it...dary! Sadly, they closed up shop a couple of years ago, but I have since been given the privilege of the recipe for Twenty Mile Barbeque sauce...
I love the "humanoids" reference! I need to start calling Natepoo that. "Humanoid" can join the ranks of "Natepoo," "Natedogg," "Pootsnorkel," "Child," and "Evil One..."

Would that not be HYSTERICAL if she was a DISer?!
*Cue "It's A Small World After All"*
Cool! That's where I live!
Chattanooga, that is. Not the Hampton Inn.
Technically, I live in a sleepy little "bedroom community" of Chattanooga. Where the Wal-Mart and Seed & Feed are popular hangouts. I'm trying to remember how many stop lights our little town has... I think just 3. Maybe 4.
Yeah, we live the high life.
Within our actual town limits, we've got four stop lights. But if we have a hankerin' to go farther down the road, we run into a whole mess of stop lights! At least 10!
And 9 times out of 10, they're all red...![]()
Ever been to Cracker Barrel? Sooooo much better than Waffle House, IMO.
I hearts me some Cracker Barrel. But 1. There's a Cracker Barrel right off our interstate interchange (about five miles away), and 2. Natepoo is scared of the Cracker Barrel because we always manage to get the table under the picture of the really creepy old guy with the handlebar 'stache...
This must be a "guy" thing, because my DH is of the same mindset. We've stayed at ASMovies twice. Thankfully on our last trip, he realized we can't stay at a value resort anymore (it wasn't so bad our first trip when our daughters were younger (and smaller) but last year, it seemed too cramped in the room).
I could be wrong, but I thought the Moderate Resorts had full-sized beds, too. I say this because for our trip last year, we were looking at POR, but the only difference between that and ASMovies (as far as the rooms go) was the room itself was just a tad but it still had full-sized beds. Oh, and POR has 2 sinks in the bathroom area while ASM only has 1. So DH was all, "Why pay more money for just a sink?"
We're hoping to have another family trip in 2013, and I'm pushing for AKL or WL! Deluxe all the way, baby!
Coronado is the only moderate with queen beds. We stayed at AKL on our 2008 trip...it is absolutely gorgeous! And we visited WL on our 2009 trip...can't really go wrong with either resort!
I sprinkle pixie dust on you for your choice of resort!
So jealous! I want to go to WWoHP so badly!!!
I know! My friend just came back from Florida/WDW/WWoHP, and I wanted to punch her, I was so jealous...
I didn't punch her, but I wanted to...![]()
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!![]()

I love your PTR so far. I am also a HUGE Harry Potter nerd and I also hail from the chicagoland area. The How I Met Your Mother reference in the title is what reeled me in. Your plans sound good so far.
I agree that Waffle House is awesome! My family ALWAYS stops there on road trips to the south. I love that your going to be stopping at places that we're featured on Food Network! Two years ago my family did a Memphis Barbeque tour with the help of Guy Fieri and Adam Richmond from Man VS Food.
Also my mom has always wanted to stop at all the cheesy tourist spot in Chattanooga but we never did when I was a kid. I might have to do that when I have my own little humanoids.
Can't wait to read more!!![]()

I name all my stuff too!! My Honda CR-V is Harvey. I like to let the guys that enter my car know that they are "riding Harvey". My current laptop's name is Larry, short for Lawrence. The one before that was Debbie, short for Debra, or otherwise known as the debster.
Suprisingly, I haven't named my laptop yet. I know! I'll call her Maleficent! People think my laptop's evil just because I happen to have horror film icons as my wallpaper (What? I like cheesy gory horror flicks!), but really it's just misunderstood...
My dbf and I also LOVE HIMYM. We've seen it all and just....LOVE it.
We got through the first disk of season 1 before Full Monty broke loose. Now Goofy has somehow gotten himself wrangled in to two additional shows for the next three weekends. So no more HIMYM marathons for a while...
Wow, what a hypothetical trip you've got planned! All those stops sound like so much fun! I also love that show so I would want to make those stops on a road trip too.
We figured, if we're gonna do it, we're gonna go big!
Daaaang, snowpocolypse hit you guys HARD. We were warned for it, but nothing showed up.
Yeah...we got snowdrifts blown INTO our garage! I thought Jessie would be safe from the Snow-pocalypse's wrath, but I still ended up having to brush snow off of her!
There's a Superman museum. Some how...not as surprising as I thought it would be.
Yeah...I think I may let the boys go in there. I'll just sit outside with my Kindle and reread some Stephen King...
Mmm, Wallfe House. I've heard many great things about the place.
Om nom nom!
Great deal on the Universal tickets!!!
I know, right? I couldn't believe it when I saw that price. I had to close down the website and reload it the next day...I thought it was a pricing fluke or something...
