It's Going To Be A Jolly Olly Holiday In Disney PTR I've got one foot out the door!!

I have several ideas of the different "down time" activities I want to do and will post them at a later time. For now, any suggestions are welcomed!!! It seems as though someone out there always knows of some hidden treasure that you've never heard of! So, give me your thoughts, please!

- Not necessarily a down time activity, but I am looking forward to trying the Pick Your Own Pearl in Epcot!
- Also, you could tour the deluxe resorts and check out their Christmas decor. There's a life size gingerbread house at one, gingerbread merry-go-round, campers put up lights at Fort Wilderness.
- Also, there is a glassblower in Germany pavilion that make made-to-order ornaments!

Just some tips I've picked up along the way...

POR has carriage rides, fishing, watercraft and surrey bikes to rent. Plus you have use of the pools at POR and POFQ. And I read they have a campfire in the evenings during the winter.

I am also trying to schedule some down time. My dh sounds just like yours. And I tend to be commando at the parks too. Looks like we will be trying for the same type of trip. I am looking forward to seeing the things you come up with.

Her Erin! I noticed in your sig that you had started a PTR, sorry I am a bit late showing up. :goodvibes

Your plans sound fantastic so far, especially the part about saving all that money with the codes that came out. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I was pretty busy this weekend! No time to do another installment...hoping for tomorrow! Thanks for coming over!

Just happened upon your PTR tonight, so I'm joining in. BTW, not too far from you, right off the Lansdale exit on 476!

Your trip sounds fantastic so far ... AK is one resort I definitely want to stay at some day. Looking forward to hearing more.

Another BTW ... big yankees fans here too :thumbsup2

:welcome: Thanks for coming over!! I know where Lansdale is...I actually went to college in Philadelphia (but didn't finish there). I can't wait for AKL!! I will be doing a TR also, so you can follow that and see all there is to see about it if you want!! I wanted to get another update done tonight, but spent the night catching up on some TR's that I am following instead!! LOL
HAHAHAHA! I am actually the ONLY one in my house that is a METS fan :cheer2:!!! My DH has brainwashed all 3 kids into liking the Yanks! I think the only good thing about them is Damon....looking at him that is! :lmao::lmao:

Okay, I can overlook you liking the Mets since it is 4 to 1 in your household! I grew up liking the Yanks (I'm originally from upstate NY) but got into them more since Hubby is a HUGE fan. We have been to many, many, games including several playoffs and a few world series games -- there is nothing like it.

Hey, there are several good things about the yanks, Damon I'll give you, but what about Jeter, the all american boy? He just so likable and .... cute.:lovestruc

Hey, I was looking at TRs also , which is how I found your report. Looking forward to reading more. I'm going at the end of Sept :yay:(Adults only trip - my sis and friend). I can't believe I'm pulling this one off! But, very excited about going during Halloween and Food & Wine.:woohoo:

Nah...I can do without Jeter! You are probably outnumbered where you live...you are supposed to like the Phillys aren't you?
Are you doing a TR when you get back?? I am interrested in seeing how the MNSSHP is...never been but would like to!

I used to like looking at Damon too - WHEN HE WAS A RED SOCK!!! He's a trader - BIG TIME - in my book... sorry!!!

As I told you here I am waiting anxiously to see what the next surprise will be. Also, maybe if I tag along I can pick up some fun ideas to implement into my upcoming trip. December is going to be a blast!

I know!!! I can't wait! I REALLLLLLLY am going to try to get the next update done today!! Things have been really busy, and another busy weekend ahead so no time then! It's tonight or next week, sooo......:rolleyes1

I"m waiting for the next surprise too....:)popcorn::

My next installment does not really have a surprise in it...but there will be one coming soon. I am going to do an update tonight, though that I need some feedback on!! So, stay tuned! :flower3: (A little bribe!)

Well, I know we are all waiting for the next surprise...it's coming! Just not in this installment! :guilty: Sorry! I promise you will see the next one sometime before the end of next week! Anway...back to business!
Oh wait!!! I know what I can tell you...it's not a surprise to the fam, but we are going to arrive on the 1st now instead of the 2nd. The airfare was much cheaper. We will be getting in at like 9:30 pm. So no park that day, but it allows us to start first thing in the am on the 2nd! That's a bonus since we were going to land at like 2:00 on the 2nd originally!! NOW...business!
As stated in our introductions, we each have a favorite restaurant. So, we were sure to include each of those in our hopeful list. We can not make our ADR's until Sept. 2 and park hours won't come out until Sept. 1 (hopefully). Ack!!!!!:scared1: What will I do if they are late like November's were?? Well, I talked to a CM and she told me I could call back the last week in August and they should be able to tell me what the hours are even if they are not on the website. So, we'll see... Either way, that doesn't give me much time to decide which park we are going to be in each day so I can book ADR's accordingly. We are not doing Park Hoppers this time.
So, I looked up last year's hours for the time we will be there to get an estimate. We are on the DxDp for the POR portion of the trip and OOP for the AKV portion. Anyway, if hours stay about the same, here is what I am going to try to book in the ADR department:
(keep in mind that our family's favorite meal is breakfast, so we will eat a big breakfast every day whether early or late)
Dec. 2 - Tusker House (pre-park opening) - do it each trip: love it!
Yak & Yeti (late lunch) - sounds so good and we love Asian food so win / win
Boma (after park closing...late dinner) - nervous about this one, but intrigued
Dec. 3 - 1900 Park Fare (after AM EMH's) - main reason for this one is to see Alice and Mad Hatter
Crystal Palace (late lunch) - last minute decision...good meal
California Grill (late dinnner...after MK closes for MVMCP) - want to try one 2 TS meal...looked the best to us and great views!!
Dec. 4 - Akershus (first seating) - another we do most trips
Le Cellier (late lunch) - really hoping to get in here...J-Pa's most looking forward to this one!!
Garden Grill (late dinner during PM EMH) - loved it last trip...wanted it again
Dec. 5 - Ohana (after DHS AM EMH) - my fav!! great food and drinks!
50's Prime Time Cafe (late lunch) - just for the fun of it!!!
Ohana (late dinner) - excited to try this one- heard such great things and looks fun...drinks are a bonus!
Dec. 6 - Chef Mickey's (really early ADR) - a classic!
T-Rex (around 1:00) - for Pooty!!
Mama Melrose (around 8:00) - another family favorite that we do every trip
Dec. 7 - Crystal Palace (pre-park opening) - we've done lunch and dinner there and want to try the breakfast after reading the great reviews. Lunch and Dinner were great, so if it lives up to them, it'll be a hit!
Wolfgang Puck (normal lunch time) - J-Pa's fav, but we all love it anyway
Liberty Tree Tavern (normal dinner time) - another classic
Dec. 8 - Boma (first seating...this will be our first morning there) - reviews are making us check it out!
Counter service somewhere (if we are hungry??) - maybe Columbia Harbour House????
Chef Mickey's (after MK closes for MVMCP) - again...CLASSIC
Dec. 9 - Cape May Cafe (early breakfast) - again, loved it last trip
Biergarten (late lunch hopefully for Candlelight Processional) - Gwad keeps asking to go back, so...
Earl of Sandwich (if we are in need of something) - hoping we are hungry because it is sooo good!
Dec. 10 - Mara for quick breakfast (maybe bring back up to the villa
and stay as long as we can to soak up the greatness of AKL!!) - just want something easy on check out day
Picnic in the park (around 2:00) - nice way to end trip before heading back to AKL for DME pick up
So, I know that it looks like a TON of food...that's because it is! But, we couldn't narrow it down and we figure Poot will need to give his feet a rest every now and then since this is his first trip without a stroller!! So, we can let him do his resting while eating.
Anyway, we'll see what happens when Sept. 2 rolls around. If I have to move some around, it shouldn't be too hard! (I've done it about a hundred times already anyway!!) A lot of our meals are at resorts rather than parks, so it makes it a bit easier. The hardest part was actually working in the other activities that I am planning at the resorts. That is all for the next chapet though. So, for now, give me your thoughts, suggestions, etc. Thanks!!!

Up next: All of the little extras I am planning...and the stress of fitting them in!

OH I JUST HATE TALKING ABOUT THIS!!!

I WANT MY DECEMBER HOURS NOW!!!

Your meals all sound so good, a lot of family must-haves! Oh man I can not wait another 3 weeks - AHHH let alone 3 months!!!

*PS - Sorry about that, sometimes it just happens :lmao:

I know this is horrible - since we're only 4 pages deep - but, are you doing MVMCP? If so, which day?
