I don't know about you, but I am PUMPED that December park hours came out!!

I absolutely am!!!!! I can not wait until Thursday when I can book ADR's!!!! I have every finger crossed that I can get them all! My oldest son and DH said they aren't going if we can't eat good! LOL Little do they know...they have no choice! HaHa

OK...just a quick little update and a bit of pixie dust that I received (by accident)

I finally broke down and bought our airfare! I had been waiting and going back and forth with which airline, which airport, which day, which time...
So, I decided that I could not wait any longer. We are flying Airtran (anyone that has flown this airline, please give me your opinion...good or bad) which we have never flown. We normally fly JetBlue, but their flights were quite a bit more, even with having to pay for checked bags on Airtran. So, we booked are for Philadelphia to Orlando on an evening flight down and back. I also had called prior to doing this to see about changing our dates...moving everything up by one day. I will tell you that story in a second! Anyway, I was able to book the two flights as one ways and could use the $25 off per seat email code from Airtran. That made our total for airfare $724 for everyone! I was thrilled with that! That also included paying to choose our seats. (On Airtran you also have to pay $6 per seat to choose where you sit. We did it because of the kids.)

Now, back to the dates story... I called to see about moving all of my date up one day. We were booked for POR Dec. 1-7 and AKV Dec. 7-10. I wanted POR Dec 2-8 and AKV Dec. 8-11. Well, the SUPER NICE CM I got that night looked into POR first. It was not available for the extra night. So, I said "well maybe we could look into just doing AKV for an extra night. Remember...we were doing the free dining at POR and the room discount at AKV. Disney only releases a certain amount of rooms for these discounts. So, it was not that POR was not available at all for that date, just not for the free dining. Anyway, he looked and it was not available either for the extra day. So, it looked like we were either going to have to stick to our original plan or stay at Kidani instead which would cost more. I really wanted to stay at Jambo. And, DH talked about it and the 2nd to the 11th worked better for us, plus the airfare was quite a bit cheaper. So, I finally decided that we would just go ahead and switch to the 4 nights at Kidani. After setting the new ressies, the CM went in to cancel the old ones. Our conversation went like this:
CM: You were not booked for AKV for Dec. 7-10
Me: What...Yes here's the res#
CM: That's the res I'm looking at. It's for Dec. 6-9!!!
Me: Well, we were booked for POR until the 7th...why would we have a res at two different resorts for the same day? And...where would we have stayed the last night there had I not called about this??
CM: You are exactly right! Someone made a mistake with this res! Can you please hold?
Me: Sure.
(Holding about 5 minutes.)
CM: Ok...so that villa that was not available at Jambo for you at the discount rate for the 7th to the 10th...I got it put through for you!
Me: What??!! You are the best!

So, long story...well, long...we are now going Dec. 2 -11. But, we got an extra day in AKV!! That makes me happy as heck! Thanks Morrison!!!! You are one of the best CM's I have ever talked to! We will arrive after 10 pm on the 2nd. So, we will just get checked in and maybe unpack and head to bed for an early MK start on the 3rd!

yay flights!! I feel like flights mean it's so official!!!

I have not personally flown on airtran, but my parents and brother have. They say it's alright, they prefer Southwest but airtran can be cheaper and offer better times. They say the seats are typically smaller but have never had an issue with them!! I plan on flying with airtran for my trip in Dec
and aren't those ressie CMs wonderful..they can really make some magic!!

We have flown airtran before. They are very nice.

Only thing I will tell you is to keep an eye on your flight times.

Ours was changed 3 times last year.. The first two times, was only by 20 mins.

The last time, they cancelled our late flight home and we had to leave like 4 hrs earlier

IF you get put on a flight you do not want, call them up and tell them what flight you want to be on.

We never got emailed on any of the changes.

But overall, it was a nice flight and the attendants were all very nice

The only airlines I really fly are Delta and AirTran. I have never had an issue with AirTran one bit. They've always been super nice, flights have always been great and I've never encountered any flight time changes. I guess that all depends on the airport though.

I don't think SW is even an option for me out of the 3 airports we use. I think we are spoiled by JetBlue...very roomy and each seat has it's own television with Directv. But, hopefully it is good anyway! The price was right! I will just keep reminding myself and family that it isn't about the plane itself...it's about where the plane is taking us! That CM was soooo great! I wanted to climb into the phone and kiss him! Soooo magical!

Oh! Thanks for the advice on the flight times! Do they change it up to the day of the flight or earlier? Just keep calling / looking online? We are flying at night both ways. On the way down, we fly at around 7:30. We are gonig to have the kids go to school and pick the younger two up at around 3. It's about and hour and a half without traffic to get to PHL. Do you think that allows enough time? Even with traffic, I think we will get there within about 2 hours. We are parking right at the airport. If the flight changes, I will just have to pick the kids up earlier. I hope they don't cancel our return flight...we have park tix for that day and don't want to lose out on them! I guess I better keep checking while we are in Disney though, huh? I'm glad they are nice...that helps especially when you have kids!

Yeppers! I told DH that no matter what...we will be on a plane Dec. 2! Leaving the cold going to what will hopefully be beautiful weather! I'm hearing of several people that are flying Airtran. Price is right! Yes...I booked online direct with them and when I was doing it, a screen popped up and asked if we wanted to select our own seats. I said yes because we don't want the kids being separated from us. It told me then that there was the fee of $6 for each seat request. So, it was an additional $60 RT. I'm sure the TA can be sure that you are either aisle or window.

Yep! That was the cheapest we have ever been able to get our airfare! It was about $500 underwhat we budgeted. All we still have to pay is the checked bag fee ($75 each way). It was a SUPER hook up!

I'm glad to hear so many good things about Airtran! Maybe they will becaome a top choice for us after this trip!

Thank you! It was very lucky I called about the change! If we had no place to stay that last night, I would have had to stay in the castle that last night! Wait...that would've been better! LOL I guess I'll take AKL anyway! It is sooo real now and that feels great! Every time I make a reservation for something or confirm something else, it seems even closer! I can almost see it on the horizon!!!

Wow! What a good thing you called. Yippee for onemore night in AKL. I was shocked that free dining is already sold out for POR for your early December dates.That happened quick. Are you all set to make your ADR's this week? How exciting!!
