It's getting harder and harder to keep the secret!!

Yes, we have a DIsney store at the mall, but I haven't been there in a couple of years. Are Disney Dollars at the cash register? Are they equal to regular dollars?
On another note, can the Tooth Fairy leave Disney Dollars?

I sure do give you Secret Keepers alot of credit! I know I could NEVER do it!!! I'm a Planner and an Organizer, and 1/2 the fun of our Disney trips is the Planning with my family.

However, if DH had his way, we would be surprising our 3 DS (8/5/5) and not telling them until we wake them up at 4am to get to the airport. I managed to convince him that we should tell the boys. But rather than waiting until we only had a month or 2 to go, he ended up being the one to spill the beans with over 200 days to go before our trip!

No worries though! My boys love the anticipation just as much as I do! From the day we made our reservations until the day we leave (22 days from today), I bet not a day has gone by that we haven't discussed some aspect of our trip to Disney World. From the attractions, to the restaurants, to the first slide down the Volcano Pool at the Poly...They even have their own planning spreadsheets, just like Mom's! (This trip will be oldest DS 3rd trip, the twins 2nd, and my 14th)

At our store, yes you just go to the register and buy them. Disney dollars are as equal to cash, dollar for dollar. I don't see why the fairy couldn't bring them.

We have two weeks to go from to day and we are keeping it a secret from DS. Like other DISers, we've almost slipped up and spilled the beans, but so far so good. We are just going to play it cool and wait to see how long it takes for him to figure it out. We've gone in Sept. the last few years and I think DS will associate the plane ride with a trip to Disney. If not, I am sure he will figure it out once we get to the ME line.

I love that we are keeping this a secret! He loves LOVES the parks and I can't wait to surprise him!

I'm a secret keeper too! And it is soooo hard already! My friend told me about the DISboards and I'm totally hooked now. I keep writing down notes and it's so hard not to blab to them, cause I'm getting so exctied about telling them EVERYTHING!!!
We just booked for Aug 12-19, 08 and plan on telling the DS's (14, 11) as a X-Mas present. It will be their first trip to WDW!!!
The plan is to have a bunch of little seperate giftys; luggage tags, neck pillows, disney dollars, a book about WDW, etc and anything else I can think of. Kind of send them on a little treasure hunt to figure out where we are going. They will think its just Disneyland at first (cause were just down the coast) but then.....I can't wait for their reactions!!!

We are planning on telling our DD's - 6 & 8 around Thanksgiving for our Christmas trip. Over popcorn and a "movie" - the WDW planning dvd! I've kept the secret this long because I didn't want to hear are we leaving today? for the last 8 months, but, I do want to tell them ahead of time to drive them crazy with anticipation!!

Now, Cindy's, BBB, MVMCP, Akershus......will all remain SECRET!!!

Last year my husband had a business trip in Orlando and I planned on going with him to get a weekend Disney fix. We suprised my DD11 and DD5 with a special Halloween trip. They knew my husband and I were going and they thought they were staying home with Memaw. Seeing the excitement in their eyes when I woke them up and said suprise we are on our way to the airport! We are all going to Disney World and Mickey is having a special Halloween party just for us. I have never seen them get out of bed so quickly. To make the trip more special we flew Memaw down as another suprise to spend the weekend with us too! Sharing the Disney magic with our girls and their Memaw was a once in a lifetime weekend none of us will forget! If you get the chance to suprise a loved one with a secret trip it is a memory you will treasure forever.
