Does anybody know what the best kind of rail ticket would be to get for a day? Thinking to go into Paris on the Saturday. My thinking was that it would be the busiest day in the park so best day to go into Paris but maybe its would be silly to do that? Do you think it would be worse on a Saturday trying to get into Paris??
Also, was going to send a quick e-mail to the Newport Bay Hotel to ask them nicely if they would mind putting us in a room nearish to the lifts. Does anybody know the best address?

If you buy a Mobilis ticket you can use the metro and buses for the whole day. When we've done Paris as a day trip we went on a Saturday too - used the same reasoning as yourself. Don't know whether it's a good idea or not (Paris-wise) but it worked OK for us!

Thank you so much Elaine I'm glad you've said it wasn't too bad on a saturday. I'm sure at this time of year it will be fine Can you remember roughly how much the ticket was?? I'm getting really rather excited now
Just googled the Mobilis ticket and it appears you get different tickets for different zones. Will the 6.40 euro one for zones 1 to 2 be enough for a day trip to Paris to see the Eiffel tower etc?

DLP is in zone 5 so you need the Mobilis zones 1-5 at 15,20.
If you are under 26 and going on the weekend you can get a youth ticket - Ticket Jeunes Week-end - which costs 7,60 for zones 1-5 and again gives unlimited travel on RER/Metro and Bus for 1 day
If you have any children under the age of 4 they travel for free
We requested connecting rooms and got an automated reply initially, I'm sure that's what happened last year too. We got a proper reply after a day or two so if you haven't had one by now I'd re-send it.
