My husband and I are here at BWI, we just came in from a great night of Boardwalk entertainment and fun and drinking and being silly and just having a fantastic time, but one thing I have to say is that I'm cold! I can almost laugh at how cold I am, I'm in the room now DH is on the phone and this is the first time I'm posting since we've been here! Ok I'm a little tipsy but so happy!

Anyway if you're coming to WDW bring gloves! But I think I just heard on the tv that it will be going up to 80 by Friday in the Palm Beach area. maybe it will be that warm here in Orlando lake Buena Vista. I still got some bit of sunburn on my nose and cheeks, so even in the chilly weather the sun can burn you.

Happy new year to everyone, just in case I don't post again. We don't really have time to be on the laptop while we're here or the blackberry, but I just wanted to quickly post this! Happy New Year!

We just came back from our own coo-oo-oold stay, split between OKW and BWV. And we both tried to find some places sheltered from the wind so that we could soak up some of those Florida rays. You are right - even when it is cold, that suntan lotion is needed. :cool2:

Glad to hear it is warming up. Palm Beach with its 80-degree weather isn't all that far from Orlando, so here's hoping that the nights of freezing weather are gone.

Hope you have a happy new year - we couldn't think of a better place to celebrate than WDW!

I had to look up what is "cold" in Orlando. It says it is 48 there now, it's 40 here in MN and we are talking about how WARM it is :lmao:. Looks like the extended forecast for Orlando is mid 70's.

Have a wonderful time at BWI, cold or not! LOVE that place!!!

I always think that the hallways at BWI are SOOO cold--how are they now?

There was a gentleman the other day talking about it being 40 degrees in Florida and he was freezing, he was from MA. He said 40 degrees down here is way colder than 40 degrees up there, several people agreed.

I was doing customer service for a credit card company. A woman called in and she was very nice, she asked me where I was, I told here Florida. I told her that I was freezing because it was about 30 degrees outside. I saw that she was form WI and told her that she probably thought I was crazy for complaining about the temp when she experienced much colder weather. She laughed at told me that she was don here one winter and froze her butt off. She said and others have agreed, that our temps are colder as the same temps up north. So really we do get cold down here as other people from way up north have noticed and complained about.

Yes, it's been very cold here, but today I actually went out in shorts and a t-shirt for the first time in over a week. It's supposed to be nice for awhile, but winter is far from over.

We were there last week (only had one day that was comfortably warm). I must say that the cold weather certainly contributed to the authencity of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal. That snow on the roof of the buildings fit right in with the cold temps!

I agree with this! I'm from Chicago, so I'm no stranger to cold and wind, but 40 in Orlando feels a lot colder than 40 at home. I don't know if it's the dampness or what, but we were glad for our winter coats and gloves.

Sounds like you are having fun! Enjoy the rest of your trip, stay warm, and Happy New Year! :)

It's a different kind of cold, though. I don't know what it is that makes it so! We returned from our trip Dec 14 and came home to weather in the teens. It honestly felt the same being in Pittsburgh in the teens with snow on the ground as it did in FL with it being in the 30s/40s and so windy.

I am orginally from Indiana and it is definatley a different kind of cold. In the 40s up in Indy I am not chilled to the bone like down here. It is so dang damp! That makes the difference I guess. It was suppose to warm up today but I am bundled up and I don't think it made it out of the 60s today. Suppose to be close to 80 but I will believe it when I see it :lmao:
