I have been MIA trying to get Christian's blood sugars in range. UGH it hasn't been easy. Anyway I just wanted to remind you that he is performing at the Carnation Stage tomorrow night at 7:15. He plays with the steel pan band from the local high school. So if you have a few minutes stop by and listen to them. They play great music and I am sure you will enjoy it.

Speaking of the Carnation Stage, how are bands selected to play there? Is it a random thing? Does Disney contact the school or does the school contact Disney? I've always sort of known that school bands play at Disneyland but I've never really taken the time to find out how it works.

Any insight would be appreciated.

You have to send in an app and audition tape. They will then notify you if you have been selected. You have certain deadlines to be able to perform during certain months. Our deadline was in October to perform in January or February.
