It's Back! Kroger $5 off on your next shopping trip with gift card purchase

Does Kroger still make you pay cash for gift cards? I've gone before and they've made me pay cash. Would love to get Disney Reward Dollars on top of this. haha.

I have bought a lot of gift cards at Kroger and have never paid cash!

We plan on going to halloween party need 4 tickets mailed to us. Could I purchase the tickets each as 4 separate purchases, have them use the cards from kroger to pay for them and then have them all shipped to us in one envelop? TIA

I would try calling to order them. The phone rep may be able to use multiple payments. You could order all four at one time and use as many gift cards as you have and not have to worry about combining them into one order.

NOTE: If you pay for your vacation using these cards, SAVE them. If you cancel your trip, the money is refunded to the method it was paid with, so they'll put the money back on the gift card. If you don't still have the card, you will have a problem.

I'm not sure about the MNSSHP tickets, but I had to order a WDW ticket over the phone last year and the CM said they could only take 3 forms of payment. I used two gift cards and my credit card for the balance. I was at WDW when MNSSHP doesn't usually sell out every night last year (end of Sept., beginning of Oct.) so I just waited to buy my ticket when I checked in to the resort. I still got the Advanced Purchase price as I was buying it 2 days in advance.

I've bought many MVMCP tickets before online, but I can't remember if they gave me several options to pay or just one.

But our Kroger stinks... that's why I never shop there. I called earlier today to ask if they have these multipacks available and they said yes, tons. Only to find out afterwards that they don't even sell it...
This is the second time they promoted it and not have any in store. No wonder I never shop there...

Thanks for the headsup, I'll have to go to Kroger tomorrow! We're just paying for meals OOP so this would be great! My local Shell stations also accept the Kroger fuel rewards, and that's the closest gas to my house!

I am in the metro Atlanta area - and there is NO note of this offer in the ads - so I headed off to my local Kroger to see if it was being offered here. There was no sign at the gift card kiosk about the offer. I got a great guy at customer service who agreed to ring one up - and if the $5 coupon wasn't dispensed, he was just going to give me a $5 gift card (because Kroger had no notation of the offer either!). Well...it worked on one and then I proceeded to buy all the three packs that they had...and then went to another Kroger and bought them out

Thanks so much for spreading the word about this great deal! (Now we just have to see if Kroger will let us use all those $5 coupons next week when I shop or if I will have to have 25 different transactions!)

With all disney gift cards if you are staying on site you can put as many gift cards onto your key to the world card and have charging priveldges with out having a credit card on file... so if you purchase like 10 packages of 3 gift cards you can add all of them to your room charge without having to carry 30 gift cards around the parks i just did this in march and yes you can pay towards your trip with giftcards by calling CRO

I wish I had a Kroger up here it seems like all the good sales (like this )happen on the other side of the mason dixon line

There was no mention of this in our Fred Meyer ad, nor was it advertised near the gift cards, but I got a $5 off coupon. Going back tomorrow to buy another pack!

The wording makes me think you have to buy 4 of the packs....so you'd pay $45 x 4 if you were buying the disney packs...then you get $5 back....doesn't seem like a great deal that way.

But if you can buy 1 and get $5 off good deal...

I was just there and I only wanted a Panera gc but asked about it...I think the Itunes were 3 $10 and starbucks were 5 $10 and applebees were 3 $15 but I didn't see Disney.

Duh...it's buy ANYnot 4...LOL...should have had coffee first .... darn...should have grabbed some. Have to go back later! Want to get starbucks / itunes for gifts.Trish

I bought these cards last year and was able to reload one ... the cards do have $15 printed on the front though. I really confused a CM when she handed me back the gift card with $15 on the front and $200 balance showing on my receipt.

OP - thanks for posting. I picked up 10 packs over the weekend. Used the coupons on the cards - no problems!

No, they do not expire.

I bought a pack Saturday afternoon and the only advertisement around the gift card display was something about getting a free $5 gift card if you bought some type of candy. Nothing about the $5 off coupon. When I checked out though I got the $5 coupon. The coupon expires April 30, 2011.

I just bought 3 packs in Kennesaw Georgia, so some Krogers in GA are participating in the promotion. Maybe you should try a different store.

It isn't advertised in our Kroger either, and the worker I asked didn't have a clue, but I just bought a package as a test. I got the $5 off coupon, and then bought more packages. I bought a package of 3 $10 Itunes giftcards today to put in Easter baskets, and received the $5 off coupon also - now that is a great deal!

Thank-you so much for posting this OP! It wasn't advertised at my Kroger, but I needed gift cards for Easter baskets anyway so I went ahead and tried it and here's what I got:

Order #1:
$15 worth of Mars Easter candy (promo in ad for $5 oyno)
1 3-pack of $10 I-tunes cards

Got back 2 $5 oyno coupons

Order #2:
1 3-pack of $15 Disney gift cards
used 2 coupons from last order
Paid: $35

Got back 1 $5 oyno coupon

Order #3:
1 3-pack of $15 Disney gift cards
used coupon from last order
Paid: $40

Got back 1 $5 coupon I will save for later.

If I would've planned better I could have used this last coupon for the Mountain Dew I bought, but I wasn't thinking and bought it with my first order. Oh well, I'm still thrilled with this deal! This was the Kroger in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
