It's Another....LAST to POST! Who cares about the number? It's LAST that matters!

I would never presume to call what I make at home "compost". We've moved towards a Bokashi system for our kitchen scraps. As a result, we've been able to swap our rubbish bin that the council collects for a smaller bin. :thumbsup2

That looks nice. The only problem with my compost is since it's outside I don't put any meat in it because it would attract animals.

skiingfast - I've just caught up on shushh's blog. She just posted Heaven on Earth in Montana. Is that anywhere near you? It looks beautiful.....heaven on earth indeed!

Far from me. I think it's pretty much in the middle of Montana and that's a big state.

That's too bad about no moose. While I see them often, they are a rare site.

What time did you start cooking?

As I said before....you asked what am I doing tomorrow??????? While it is tomorrow, I haven't gone to sleep yet, so it's still today. I haven't started cooking anything unless you count the Chicken Florentine that I made with a thinly pounded chicken breast. I still have the other half of the breast to do something tomorrow.....

However, I need to start cooking the turkeys and Roast Beefs....that will begin after noon on Monday California Standard Pacific time. So I believe there are at least twelve more hours before anything should even begin!

I thought it was crazy that she was seeing far more bears than moose! :rotfl:

We like our Bokashi system. Yes, I guess it wouldn't be the best thing to be digging in meat into your soil with the kind of critters around you.

But it is tomorrow here today. Where you are is yesterday.....:rolleyes1

Aren't you glad you said California Standard Pacific time? Completely de-bunks my "it's tomorrow here today for your yesterday" statements. :rotfl2:

Enjoy your cooking today when its your tomorrow ... er.... which will be yesterday for me. ;)

Well, I'm confused...it doesn't take much to do that :rotfl2:

Quiet weekend for me of working on my trip photos and calling my Mom and friends etc.

Rain all day Saturday and some Sunday and I would love to get out and hike some but the leaves haven't changed yet!

Have a great Monday morning and evening/sleep everyone!

I want rain here so badly. It may rain weds. Your ahead by three hours. Gotta get up in 25 minutes. Have a lovely day.

You asked what was on the agenda tomorrow, not tonight! :lmao:

While my parents were here, I noticed the gasket was not sealing properly, but with all the excitement, I forgot about it! :sad2:

Fran thinks she's going to replace the gasket on the freezer and we can use it again. I figure it's history and we'll need to replace it.

Right now I'm eating part of a boneless chicken breast (drop in the bucket) as chicken florentine. She ate a ham sandwich (we had about 7-10 packets of sliced cooked ham, from previous hams). The good thing is that everything went into the freezer pretty much immediately after coming home from the grocery store. Normally with larger meats, you can keep them in the fridge for a week or so before cooking them. Everything was still frozen last Saturday when I first noticed the problem so I figure I have until the end of the week.

Things that have been cured like Ham and Corned Beef can go a little longer. Saturday we have a band rehearsal and one guy was planning on making Lasagne. I will tell him that I will bring some Turkey as well to supplement his Lasagne. The rest I will slice for sandwiches or casseroles and refreeze. If nothing else we have some room in our #2 freezer, the office #4 freezer and #3 is vacant, we haven't put it on the market yet. If we fix or replace the garage freezer, I can put all the sliced cooked meat in there. Ugh! Just what I wanted when I come back from a fun weekend at DL!

Yoohoo Alison I hope you didnt fall asleep over the stove. Hope you finished all that cooking.

So I'm guessing you have not been reading my replies to your questions because I have not yet even begun to cook. I have not even gotten out of bed yet! I'm still too tired from the weekend! This scares me about our 10 day vacation! I think I better rethink our plans and slow it down a bit!

Better get up and in the kitchen.

I figure I'll start one Turkey, then another, and a standing rib roast. Maybe I'll even make some Chicken Cacciatore. I have three ovens at my disposal and the Cacciatore is made on the cooktop.

Sorry I probably read it wrong. I thought you were cooking. Well I hope its cooler for you down there today to all that cooking. Just take your time. At least you have some extra ovens to help out.

Well I did make chicken Florentine, but that just takes pounding a chicken breast flat, sautéing it about 1 min per side, topping it with thawed frozen spinach, some grated motz and pop in the oven for about 7-10 minutes.

Then I ate it. That was the extent of my cooking! :lmao:

I have the first turkey in the oven. Now I'm making coffee. Fran is going shopping for me. I need tons of stuff to keep going!

I think this statement holds for most of us over the last 2 pages, me included as I'm tripping between today, tomorrow and yesterday. :rotfl2:

Er.....you were about 5 hours too early!

I hope Fran comes back with the shopping for YOU (and not another HM picture). :thumbsup2

I'm glad you have began. But I think it should of been coffee first. At least that is how I feel today.

I've just finished my first coffee. Now I'm wondering if I should go for a bike ride or head out to get my garden stuff. :confused3

Well the first turkey is nearly done....

The ham is in the oven.....

I just put a Standing Rib Roast (Rib Eye) into the oven....

I spoke way too soon about Fran going to the store. She left about half an hour or so ago. They had wine marked down in what we call the "used food" section. So she called me and asked me about every bottle. I think she will be coming home with a lot more than the list I gave to her!

Surprised? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Next up, Chicken Cacciatore and a couple of Lemon Thyme Roated Chickens..... :faint:

Everything I needed to do the last few days went in the opposite order. Yeah I was to early. I didn't even get coffe today. Hmm..maybe that is what is wrong with me.

At least you will have alot of meals made up. Just making side dishes. I would love a bowl of count chocula. Dinner is grilled cheese and soup. Look like it wants to rain. Is it cooler in LB today?
