Oh that! We did the Scavenger Hunt at 11:30 and then did the group photo at 2PM. I decided that I DID want a GD2011 pin after all so after some pics at the Spooky Shack we went back to the Info Center. Jane Lynch was there signing books, I snapped a picture of her, and then we came back to the room to charge our scooters and let Fran take a power nap.

I'm changed for dinner and I'm trying to wake her up. (The story of my life! )

Today was my first real day at the store!

Except that I only got two hours of sleep last night (just couldn't fall asleep). So when I got home around 1:45, I set an alarm for 4:30 and laid down to take a nap... and woke up at 7:45.

The store doesn't even open until next Saturday, so it was empty except for racks and such this morning. We spent five hours unloading trucks and then unpacking the boxes and putting everything onto shelves and racks. I was in the home goods department today and hoping I'll be there again tomorrow. I had a pretty good day, all told. Just exhausted when I got home thanks to no sleep

I've only been to one of their stores before, and that was back in Orlando, so it was three years ago. They just expanded into the Chicago area, so I honestly don't remember. It doesn't look that big, though.

You gain alot of experience learning to read the schematics. There is money to be made in doing resets and merchandising. I enjoy doing audits as well.

We didn't do anything with schematics, actually. All the shelving and racks were set up already.
