Nah. Standard celebrations already planned:

• Collingwood will hold a wake at their home ground
• Geelong will hold a celebration at their home ground
• MCG opened to the general public for anyone who wants to have a kick on the hallowed turf

The next parade will be the Parade of Champions - Melbourne Cup Horses! I don't normally head out for that one....

Yes I know...

But NSW has the same number of public holidays as Victoria though according to the Melbourne boss at work.
We have a public holiday on Monday 3rd Oct which I'm told 'offsets' one you have in March. Then we have an extra one around Christmas instead of Melbourne Cup day.


BUT...


Remember this is the race that stops a nation...so there will be fun in the office and we will all stop work ANYWAY during the race...
So...
You don't get days like that

Believe it or not I have had the same problem since day one.

Surely they offer you a chance to cancel the contract if they can't deliver the service within a few weeks.

It's completely unheard of here...but I know when the iphone came out in the US you could get it for 30days and then cancel it if you weren't happy with it and AT&T

Ha! They hold you to a 2 year contract, and then if you cancel they charge an early termination fee.
