Yes he went to the doc at the start of the swelling and it was a possibility. But this is something diagnosed pretty much ONLY by symptoms. Rather than bothering confirming with tests. Because there is no treatment...just alleviating the symptoms.

He's going back to the doc again tonight. (arvo his time)

More concerned about him just dealing with whatever it is I've not quizzed him about vaccinations. His line of work would surely have insisted on them??? MMR has been around quite some time...

None of his workmates actually seem to care even though it is a viral thing...they are happy letting him still work
