Looks like our fairs. I enjoy the pics. I really rnjoy them. Thanks for taking the time to sort and post.:thumbsup2

Wow, Princess, it looks like you had a really good time. The food porn is making me very hungry.

After a hysteretomy the symptons arent any worse than if you would go through menopause. All I can say for me is I didnt get those symptoms. I really did not want to use the hormones. Everyone is different. I had someone ask me after surgery how I felt, I said the only thing that hurts is the stitches and staples. There was nothing more to hurt.:lmao:

The head nurse said I would be there 5 days I said I will be gone the 3rd day. She laughed. I hope she had a good laugh when she came to check on me cause I was released the 3rd day.:lmao:

After the 3rd week I was driving DR said ok I was vacuuming and all kinds of stuff. So dont get scared about the reading. I know you will be ok.:thumbsup2:hug:

I am 31 now. If I have the surgery after my next kid, in about 2 years or so, that will put me at about 33-34. It does scare me slightly that my body could have menopause like symptoms in my early to mid thirties. I hope my body takes to it as well as yours, because I know other women who did get the symptoms. One friend is on hormone replacement therapy (HRT), because she had a hard time coping naturally post surgery. Thanks for the support though. It really is making this an easier decision for me. I realize that every outcome is different, but it is nice to hear that it can be completely positive.

Sometimes I wonder if the hormones dont throw the body into the menopause as opposed to not taking them. The body seems to go through the motions when you get older anyway. I wonder if there have been studies done on that?

Ok caught up sort of until the pics....

Yes I have news....good. Not bad. Not great.
Will return after dinner

If there is, I am sure the people who sell the hormones try to suppress it.

If I do not get to read it before I log off, let me just say now that I am glad you have good news. It is a little after 3am and DS is stirring. The next few days will be busy, so it may be a few days before I can log back in.

Have fun! And just remember - if you can't be good, be good at it!!

Thanks kmedina. I hope things work out ok for you. Hope you do get to have a Princess before any surgery.

PIO - Nice pics. It's great you get to see the woodchopping in the shade. The stadium here, which was purpose built about 1997...but a replica of what was in the old location...is completely open. An excellent place to fry eggs :headache:
But how I love the wood chopping.

usnuz...the cost of living is HIGH in Oz...and especially at the moment you are coming into HIGH property prices...and when your dollar is worth far less than 3 years ago.

My news...
Contract extended until the end of the year.
Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick...but not what I was hoping for.
It's hard any way you look at it.
The office closes over Christmas/New Year as with many Professional businesses so my new contract will run until they close for the year.

Complication? I'm going on hols...see ticker...from the start of December.
Now getting the leave isn't an issue. I just work until then...
But it means I'm not HERE when I'd be asking for a renewal. So they'll see they can cope "without me" for a few weeks....so I'll be left to come to them to ask when I get back. :(

Still...better than getting terminated now...

oh well...

Queenie - welcome to life on contract. That's a 3 month contract they offered, right? That's about standard these days.
The timing works out in their favour, with you going on leave, plus Christmas and New Year, it may well be 2 months that they won't need to pay super, long service, leave etc.
Trust yourself and your abilities. If you think you're doing great work and delivering, let them learn to live without you for that 2 month period. They'll be glad to take you back!

At least you'll have spending money for your holiday. :thumbsup2

You're right...I know...and it is literally what I expected.
It's just the politics of this place is insane.
I'll get more of an indication of how things might be in mid November. That's our next 'goal'. And over this period I'll get more networked with the Melbourne boss who is good to have onside. This project will always need people of my 'level' so depending how things go they might reshuffle and put me back in in Jan.

Anyway...I'm mainly focusing on collecting the $$ :lmao:

Did DS like Science day?

Good luck with the politics. I avoid playing them!

DS did the school holiday program at the CSIRO. He came home with his own home-made lava lamp, a drawing of a cell that he did whilst looking down a microscope and an electronic gizmo that he made...came with a HORRIBLE noise! He always enjoys the CSIRO program.

I don't play the politics...I watch in amazement and bewilderment....

Love the CSIRO. Don't know if it's still around but I was a member of the Double Helix club when I was his age. One time we pulled apart a VCR and old telephone (ya know the old ones with bells in them :lmao: ) Even saying VCR I'm old...dang...

But it was always fun. Afterall...I was a science geek at school...

I opened up a heart breaking thread right before I was about to log off, which I spent much of the past hour reading while putting DS back to sleep. It is now a little after 4am, so I am really logging off as soon as this post is finished.

Have fun! And just remember - if you can't be good, be good at it!!

I will try.:)

Thank you. I hope so too.

I'm glad you will be there through the end of this year and agree with Princess that they will miss you and need to keep you on. Hopefully, it all works out.

sigh....
Cassette players...VCRs....
That old technology.....
I was SOOO excited when I got my first walkman when I was little. Bright yellow...

Thank you. Given what friends have gone through. What I've gone through. What Dana's gone through in the employment game. I know I shouldn't complain.
But when your workmates are also hating the 'game' and on your side...but with NO power...it's hard.

Hope DS sleeps well and you have a nice next few days.

It is hard....that's why it's not worth stressing about. Someone else has the power...doesn't matter what you do or don't do. Relax. Otherwise, you'll just go mental thinking about it.
