I always get locked out of mine before I get a chance to finish them. :rotfl: Maybe this time I can do better with mine since it's a short trip.

Hi!

I have never been to the F&W festival, so I am happy to live vicariously through you.

Looking forward to reading your report.

Lisa

I was not on the phone at 7:00 this morning. It felt really strange to not book any of the special events for the F&W Festival this year. :upsidedow

If our dates had lined up better there would have been a couple of things that interested me (Food and Wine Pairing at Tutto Italia, for example) or the Deen Brothers event which was changed from September to October 3 (which we could have done, had I know this).

But, all in all, I am pleased with what we plan to accomplish in October. I am also very glad that my friends were mostly able to get the special events they wanted to get.

I understand that there is a rumor that AP holders may be able to book the special food and wine presentations at the Welcome Center online and for a discount. That will be interesting. We were not planning to buy our APs until we arrive, but if this seems to be a more substantial rumor in the next couple of days I might think about getting one now.

I have had two friends traveling at the World this week report back that their dinners at Flying Fish were "outstanding" and "fabulous" so myBob and I decided we ought to try to find a spot to put it back in. :rotfl: No problem... we had no firm dinner plans for October 5. I was able to get the reservation online tonight for exactly the time frame I was looking for.

Now, I hope to get one of the servers that makes it a special evening. They had "Bob" and "Jack"... My DH's name is Bob and his next younger brother is Jack. I guess I can remember those. ;)

I hope y'all love it as much as we do! We've been twice and have had outstanding meals both times and have it booked again for October!:goodvibes

I hope you enjoy your meal there, I love Flying Fish. Esepcially the calamari and crab cake appetizers, and the potato-wrapped snapper with leek fondue.

You are one of the reasons we first booked it, Kat! Your reviews were outstanding so I can't think of a reason (other than money ) to skip it!

:welcome: aboard, Janet!

Thanks, Carolyn. myBob will eat the steak (which I understand is really good) but I will be eating seafood and these three items are at the top of my list. Unless there is something exciting and new on the menu that evening!

Jay and I are really looking forward to dinner at Flying Fish in October - it's been more than two years since we last dined there.

I am particularly looking forward to trying a wine flight ... or three. :rotfl2:

Flying Fish's menu always sounds good. You guys are giving me some good ideas for this trip, which is a good thing because I can't make up my mind about anything!!!

Jamie, they had a fabulous cheese plate when we were there the last time. :thumbsup2 And the crab cakes were delicious!
