This is for all the people out there who like that kind of stuff. I don't see too many of us out there, (scardy cats!:lmao:) and I thought I'd make my tribute to the Horror films out there. Here's to you, the films that make us cry in fear, the films that make us never want to go in the water AGAIN, the films that make us keep a night light in our rooms, just in case.

Post any links to any new movies coming out! :)

Here's my link:

I used to like horror films, then for awhile I was scared of them, now I can watch some to a certain extent.

it took me awhile to build up the courage to watch "Saw" (because everyone was saying how gory and scary it was!) but when I finally sat down to watch it, I -loved- it! Not really the gore, but the psychology in that movie was amazing! That's what I really loved about that movie. Saw II, not so much. Saw III, oh yes!

..that's about it.

oh, I did watch "The Hills Have Eyes", the original I think. The entire time I sat there thinking 'radioactive mutants? come on..you can do better than THAT!'. I was let down.

The Hills Have Eyes! VERY gory. I was also let down.

PLLLEASE TAG FAIRY, MAKE A TAG THAT SHOWS MY HORROR SPIRIT!!! :lmao:

The Hills Have Eyes is old. Back then I imagine it was creative.

I'm not a big horror movie person, mostly because there's all kinds of predictability in them. If you've seen Scream, you probably know where I'm going here.

Have an "Intimate Session" with another character: One of you dies, the other dies soon after.

Find out who the killer is/what's going on/how to escape? You die next. Nice knowing you. But you will leave a cryptic clue right before you die that will tip off the one or two people that survive the movie.

Berserker? You die confronting the killer by yourself.

Mess Around? Dead.

9 times out of ten it's the one chick who doesn't freak out and the one dude who she didn't like at first but at the end of the flick they're in love with each other that manage to survive.

There's all kinds of predictabilities.

Saw III wasn't very "Predictable"

Yea, it was.
Spoilers.

How did you not expect him to kill Jigsaw? It was the kind of thing you would expect to happen. After that they just set it up for a sequel, like any horror movie. Yawn.

Adding to spoilers:
BUT BUT BUT JIGSAW IS THE MASTER OF THIS! EVEN W/ HIS "DAUGHTER" U DONT EXPECT THE MAIN CHARACTER TO DIE! Did Cinderealla, or Buddy (Elf), or Fat Abert (HEY HEY HEY) DIE?!?! NO! It was unexpected for me, at least.

He never was the main character. The main character were the people in his games, not him. He was more of the ominous figure looming in the background.

BUT NOT ALL HIS VICTIMS APPEAR IN ALL HIS MOVIES, AND THE MAIN CHARACTER USUALLY IS IN THE MOVIE FROM THE 1st TO THE LAST!

Not necessarily. Many main characters don't appear for the entire movie. Such as the Grandpa in Little Miss Sunshine.

I LOVE THAT MOVIE.
Sorry, Shelly you know I'm random and can't shut up.

Sadly, I called Saw III "the Saw movie with a storyline". I still loved it tho, but the other 2 didn't really have a storyline to them. it was more like "okay, here's some people in a situation, let's see how they handle it."

Well, at least they were different from, "Here's some peoples who decided to spend a night in a spooooky mansion that's supposedly haunted by the ghost of an angry ______."

Whatever happened to good horrors like Alien, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, those are the best. By today's standards the word "horror" means seeing how many different ways we can keep the same storyline but use different ways of killing people to make it look like a new movie -cough Saw cough- or using a riddiculous amount of blood to "scare" people. Honestly, can someone tell me what the point is of such movies as Hostel (aka worst movie EVER) and Saw? I mean every scene is basically a new, twisted way of killing someone... to me, not creepy or scary, but absolutely gross. Jigsaw's not even a good villain.. he's some old cripple with a twisted sense of reality who hides behind a computer screen the entire movie, while awesome horror villains like Freddy Kruegar and Michael Myers are out there getting their hands dirty. I do love the classics though, don't get me wrong. Cheesy, non-sensical ways that the old horror villains return for sequels makes me laugh every time...

Sorry, I just HAD to throw in my two cents like always, ignore me if you so chose...

The best part of the movie Hostel was the revenge scene. Win.

That's another reason I don't like most horror movies. Most new ones sum up to "KILLANDSLASHFEST 86: THE SAME MOVIE YOU'VE SEEN MILIIONS OF TIMES, BUT WITH NEW PEOPLES!"

Bleh.

and what about zombie horror movies? their hands are already dirty..assuming they didn't fall off.

I like suspense-filled thoughtful horror movies, like Se7en for example. :)
